The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”。

Good listening can always show respect， promote understanding， and improve interpersonal relationship。

Taiwan was spread in Wechat. While in mainland, less people know about the truth

and the fast food company still works well. Chinese food problem exists all the

time, even the government has made some rules to forbid the illegal business,

peoples. They like to stay up and join many night activities, then they wake up

Secondly， I11 say something about the tradition on Mid-Autumn Day。 Look!Theres a big tree in a garden of a Chinese fami-ly。 All the family members are sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air。 They are eating the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky。 That is a family reunion dinner。 The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family。 I think this is one of the most valuable things in the world。

Thirdly，it is a very good opportunity to make three wishes on Mid-Autumn Day。 My wishes are: the first， I， an astronaut in the future， would like to go to the moon one day， and stay with the sky and stars; the second， I hope every person in the world will stay with family， share love from the family forever; the third， I hope everybodys dream will e true。

That is the Mid-Autumn Day in my mind。 I will always re-member: East or West， home is best。

剪纸也是我国最普及的民间传统装饰艺术之一，它有着悠久的历史。因其材料易得、成本低廉、效果立见、适应面广，样式千姿百态，形象普遍生动而受欢迎;更因它最适合农村妇女闲暇制作，既可作实用物，又可美化生活。全国各地都能见到剪纸，甚至形成了不同地方风格流派。剪纸不仅表现了群众的美爱好，并蕴含着民族的社会深层心理，也是中国最具特色的民艺之一，其造型特点尤其值得研究。民间剪纸作为中国本源哲学的体现，在表现形式上有着全面、美化、吉祥的特征，同时民间剪纸用自己特定的表现语言，传达出传统文化的内涵和本质。剪纸从色彩上分，有单色剪纸和套色剪纸。用一种颜色的剪纸刻出来的作品就叫单色剪纸，它如同版画中的单色木刻一样，是最常用的一种形式，这类作品显得十分朴素大方。而套色剪纸则是用不同颜色的剪纸刻出来的作品，这种形式并不常用，但是看起来生动形象。

猜灯谜”是我国独有的富有风格的一种文娱形式。每逢农历正月十五，各家各户都要挂起彩灯，燃放焰火，然后有好事者把谜语写在纸条上，贴在五光十色的彩灯上供人猜。因为谜语能启迪智慧又迎合节日气氛。

在南方，人们以年糕、元宵、松糕、粽子以及鱼、肉、蛋、菜为美味。除夕多吃年糕和元宵，“黏”字与“年”字谐音，而“年”字本来是谷物成熟的意思。元宵也叫“团子”、“圆子”即汤圆，取“全家团圆”之意。年糕多用糯米做成，取生产和生活“年年高”之意。正月初一，人们早早起来，相互祝福，吃黏糕寓意一年收成更比一年好，一年更比一年高。

春节人们通常会贴春联，增加喜庆，在贴春联的同时，一些人家要在屋门上、墙壁上、门楣上贴上大大小小的“福”字。春节贴“福”字，是我国民间由来已久的风俗。“福”字指福气、福运，寄托了人们对幸福生活的向往，对美好未来的祝愿。为了更充分地体现这种向往和祝愿，有的人干脆将“福”字倒过来贴，表示“幸福已到”“福气已到”。民间还有将“福”字精描细做成各种图案的，图案有寿星、寿桃、鲤鱼跳龙门、五谷丰登、龙凤呈祥等。

新春伊始，第一件事便是贴门神、对联。春联也叫门对、春贴、对联、对子、桃符等。它以工整、对偶、简洁、精巧的文字描绘时代背景，抒发美好愿望，是我国特有的文学形式。

春联，起源于周代悬挂在门两旁的长方形桃木板。据《后汉书·礼仪志》说，桃符长六寸，宽三寸，桃木板上书“神茶”、“郁垒”二神。“正月一日，造桃符着户，名仙木，百鬼所畏。”所以，清代《燕京时岁记》上说：“春联者，即桃符也。”

My father likes to watch all kinds of sports, so when I spend the time with

him, we watch the match together. The Summer Olympic Games is coming soon, I

feel so excited, my father will follow the games and I will company him. It is a

great time for both of us. We share our opinion and talk like friends.

According to the variety of social background, personal experience and

personal emotion, differernt people have different opinions towards things.

Thus, there is no doubt that generation gap exists everywhere. We always find

that there are big differences between us and the old generation. We always

regard the old are outdated, while they think us are crazy. They can’t bear the

dress we like, the fashion we pursue or even our childish thinking. Instead, we

could put up with their standpat thingking and their “feudal rulers”. Thus, the

generation gap becomes more and more obvious and serious. However, why don’t we

realize that opinions can be changed, while people can’t. So, we can think in an

other way, learn to accept. It is certain that we can narrow the generation gap

to live a more harmonious life.

Teachers Day, September 10th, is a national teachers festival in China. It is celebrated since 1985. It expresses respects to the labors and contributions of teachers to the Chinese society. The goal of Teachers Day is to form a social climate in which teachers are respected and knowledge is valued. The date of Teachers Day is set at the beginning of the school year in order to arouse teachers and students enthusiasm for their work, and give a good start to teaching and learning. On teachers Day, students usually send greeting cards with good wishes to their teachers to show their respect. In Taiwan Province, Teachers Day is celebrated on September 28 annually. Choosing this day is to celebrate the birth of Confucius for his great contribution to Chinese culture. In some other countries, Teachers Day is also celebrated. In the United States, this is on the first Tuesday in May. In India, Teachers Day is celebrated on September 5. In Vietnam, it is celebrated on November 20.
