故宫不仅具有观赏性，还具备实用性。紫禁城的护城河——金水河，它不仅有防敌、消防的作用，还能泄洪。我最想看的是各宫殿须弥座上的昂头向外的“螭首”。在太和殿的广场上，我近距离观察了，螭首嘴中有一个小洞，可以喷出多余的积水。流到太和殿广场上的雨水，再根据地势变化，流向台基下的券洞，最终经券洞通过明沟暗渠，排到护城河里，这样一来故宫再也不怕大水了。但是为什么这些螭首上的小洞就这么大小，大点不是排水更快吗?我想再回过头去看看《宫?城》，能不能找到答案。

除了这些，在互动游戏中我回答了角楼的作用。我还看到了龙凤呈祥的交泰殿，最具东北特色的坤宁宫，具有十只脊兽的太和殿，在御花园留了影……还有许多各具特色的宫殿，我们没来得及细看，也给我这次故宫之行留下了小小的遗憾。

每个人眼里的故宫都不一样，同一个人不同时间看到的故宫又不一样。有机会我会再游故宫，到那时又会是怎样的感觉呢。

A library is a building for a collection or books, magazines, periodicals

and newspapers. The books are kept on the shelves in the stack room whereas the

magazines, journals, etc. in the reading rooms. Modern libraries also have xerox

rooms, and computer rooms.

correct call numbers in the card catalog and ask the librarian to take then, out

Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can

see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not

originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A

foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

With the coming of National Day, I have a one week holiday. I really expect to it, because I want to have a short trip during these days. As we know , water is very important to man,we can’t live without water. The amount of water which is suitable to drink is less and less. But some people don’t care about it .They waste a lot of water in their daily life. Even worse, they pour dirty water in to rivers. They throw rubbish into rivers , too. Many rivers and lakes are seriously polluted. Something must be done to stop the pollution.Only in this way can we live happily. If we don’t save water, the last drop of water will be a tear-drop of us.

Yesterday was Teachers Day. It was a great day for all the teachers and also a happy time for us students. In the morning.we went to school early and put a bunch of flowers on our class masters desk to give him a big surprise. Some of us stood at the school gate to say hello to every teacher when they entered the school. In the afternoon, we held a party. We sang and danced with the teachers. They said the best reward for the teachers was to see that we were making progress.
