Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine s day, April Fool s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. I am a Chinese. Ive always been making dreams from time to time. Those dreams made by each average Chinese like me are certainly Chinese dreams. Dreams vary from person to person, and also from time to time. But in a certain era, people share the similar dreams. Here I’d like to share my Chinese dreams with you.

When I was a child in 1970s, poverty kept hovering over my family, just as it did with other average families in the countryside. The misfit second-hand clothes, rain-leaking roof of old adobe house became part of my memory. However, the worse impression is that I was feeling hungry all the time. Sometimes hunger bit me so severely that I regarded dried sweet potato slices as delicious snack, the sharp crack of chewing which are still echoing in my dream. At that time, my dream was getting enough to fill my cooing empty belly.

In the early years of 1980s, as the reform and opening-up policy was implemented, the children dream came true. And then, another dream became clearer and clearer in my mind. I must try my best to escape out of my impoverished and backward hometown. I worked harder at my study than most of my classmates, and, after luckily succeeding in the national college entrance examination, my dream became reality again: after graduation, I became a citizen working in a city. As the first college graduate out of a remote village, my success set an example for my folks. They came to realize that schooling is a good way to change one’s fate. In the following years, there were less drop-outs and more college graduates in my village, of which I am proud even today.

Afterwards, I got accustomed to the life of citizens and I began to dream the same things as other peers: a comfortable home, my own car and a spacious apartment. Based on my toil, more than ten years passed, all of these dreams have been fulfilled. Of course, new dreams will occur to me again and again as time rolls on. Whatever, I believe most of my dreams will come true sooner or later only if my motherland keep advancing with current pace.

儿时记忆：年味儿

快过年了。超市里，耳朵里全是喜庆的贺岁歌曲;商场里，纷纷打出“年底大甩卖”的标语;学校里，师生们在进行紧张的期末复习;朋友圈里，大家都在讨论新年的流行时尚……

农历的年，学名叫作春节，对于中国人来说是最重要的节日。每逢春节，在外漂泊的游子总是按捺不住回家的喜悦，提前几天甚至一个月计划回家要带的年货，随时关注天气预报和车票信息，避免“人在囧途”，如此等等。与此同时，老家的亲人也在掰着手指倒计时，每天都会去超市或集上逛一圈，唯恐准备的年货不够充足，还会逢人便说：“俺儿子和儿媳妇、孙子(孙女)快回家喽!”前几年，有首歌《有钱没钱?回家过年》唱到了所有游子的心坎上，有些心酸，还有些幸福。

对我来说，最喜欢的还是放鞭炮。玩久了，还会开发出好多玩法：点着捻子后，在手里停滞三秒钟，然后扔向空中，只听见响亮的“啪”声，一团灰色的烟雾在空中散开，闭上眼睛一闻有种独特的“香”;或是将鞭炮扔进池塘里，只听见沉闷的“噗”声，一股浑浊的水花翻滚上来，有时一起上来的还会有一只倒霉的小鱼;还有的远远看到有人骑自行车过来，待到走近了，一下将点燃的鞭炮扔到人家车轮下，吓得那人“啊”的一声，可还没等享受胜利成果，就被路人逮住揪着耳朵去找家长了，换来的自然是一顿皮肉之苦。

过年最大的好处除了玩，还有吃。只有在过年时，才会吃到平时吃不到或吃得少的美味。老爷们儿三五成群，聚在一起打扑克，到了饭点，主人要留大家吃饭，众人也不推辞，庄户人就是这么实诚。简单的几个小菜，还有各种凉菜端上桌，再上几瓶老家的白酒，大家便开怀畅饮起来。这时候，最高兴的就是小孩子了，因为终于可以大饱口福了，得到大人的应许后，便狼吞虎咽起来，吃得满嘴流油，样子可爱极了，大人们看得哈哈大笑。

过完年，就要开始准备走亲戚了，亲戚多的要走半月，中国人重视礼尚往来，亲戚再回访做客，如此就要一个月时间，再加上腊月，粗略算来过年要持续两个月，年味儿特别足。可对于孩子而言，过完年就意味着要开学了，这可不是一个好消息，即使开学后一段时间，心里还是挂念着没放完的鞭炮、没吃够的美食……

记忆中的“年味”

在我最早的记忆里，我便是随着爷爷奶奶生活，那时候家庭条件不好，父母在我很小的时候，就外出务工了，只有过年的时候才回来，而过年就成了我最期待的事儿。

那时候家里唯一的通讯设备，就是一部座机，父母会偶尔会打来电话，问我学习怎么样，有没有顽皮，家里天气怎么样……虽然每次都是“老一套”，但最简单的问候往往代表了最真挚的情感。那时候的我学会了“听声辨人”，一听到熟悉的声音，我就给奶奶说，“奶奶，我妈来电话了!”奶奶每次都说，“你先接啊!”

那时候，家里条件不好，很多时候外面下暴雨，屋里总会“下小雨”，早上我还没睡醒，爷爷奶奶就起床拿盆、桶接漏进来的水。每逢过年的时候，父母都会给家里来一次大扫除、大整修，把屋里收拾得很干净、很整洁，把漏雨的地方补好，再给家门外贴上春联，挂上灯笼，让整个家里都“喜庆”了起来，而我每次也会加入到大扫除的队伍中，扫扫地、倒倒垃圾，勤快得很。

那时候，家里还是烧柴火，过年的时候，父母都会把放在另一个屋子里的又长又粗的木头搬出来，劈成一截截的短而细的木头，堆起来，用于平时烧火煮饭。等把屋里的东西收拾得差不多的时候，父母就会带我们去逛街，看看衣服鞋子，买点零食小吃，买点鞭炮，过年的气氛越来越浓。

除夕夜，一家人坐到电视面前看春晚，吃着瓜子花生，聊聊家长里短，待12点，爸爸就去放买来的鞭炮，“噼里啪啦”，完毕，新的一年开始啦。正月初一，我们总会穿上新衣服，荷包里揣点瓜子糖果，去马路上走走，到附近去看看，遇到熟人就打招呼聊天，大家都是笑脸相迎，让整个春节都温暖了起来。

相聚的时间总是很短暂，感觉还没说上几句话，还没一起吃过几顿饭，父母就收拾行李，准备外出务工了。每到这时候，不舍的感觉越来越浓烈，虽然从小经历了很多次离别，本以为会习惯，但是每一次，都如初次分离一样，多的是不舍，多的是难受。

因为父母不常在身边，所以在父母准备外出前，都会对我念叨几句，希望我好好学习，多帮家里干点力所能及的事情，希望我不要调皮，要懂事一点，要乖一点……

小时候，总盼望着过年，长大后，虽然感觉过年的气氛淡了点，但家人身体安康就是最好的过年礼物。

to go to school every day. So I can sleep and get up late. But this winter

holiday, I am not very happy. I didn’t do well in the final exam. It makes my

parents disappointed. I feel sorry to them. Besides, I got ill the whole winter

holiday. I caught a cold at first and then had a fever. I had to see a doctor

every day. My parents worried much about me. Because of the illness, I didn’t

have a good time during the New Year. Now, I am a little better. I hope I could

be well soon, because the new term is beginning. I don’t want to go to school

with illness.

Chinese, is a long civilization; China, is a country with a population of one billion and three hundred million; Chinese, once there are hundreds of millions of poor population eat enough to eat; China, is a weak being bullied!

Due to the decline of country, for many years, Chinese suppressed by foreigners ridiculed as the "sick man of East asia". It caused our anger. Our ancestors after more than 100 years of waging struggle, finally made Chinese in Chinese under the leadership of the Communist Party, the sleeping lion rise up from a nightmare, stand proudly roaring. China changed from a weak country to become a person who despised the coveted power.

The clothes that people wear in the past are monotonous and have a single style. Now the clothes, the color and the style are colorful. People can choose their favorite clothes according to their own personality and preferences. In the past, it was often a few generations to live in a house, and it was very simple. Now its spacious and the room is more elaborate. Are these examples not enough to explain the changes in China?

Some people hold the opinion that A is superior to B in many ways. Others,

however, argue that B is much better. Personally, I would prefer A because I

think A has more advantages.

【过一个温暖的中国年】

过年了，每家每户都会和戚朋友们齐聚一堂，大家一起吃饭、聊天，享受着难得的欢聚时光，一起度过快乐的春节。春节里，我回到了我的老家，见到了久违的亲人们。

舟车劳顿，我们来到了小姑家。一进门，小姑、亚平叔叔、小龙哥哥，都面带微笑地出来迎接我们，一阵嘘寒问暖之后招呼我们坐下来吃饭。饭桌上的饭菜可丰富了，有刚刚出炉的酸菜鸡、香甜可口的杂粮汤、营养丰富的新鲜蔬菜，应有尽有，种类繁多，色香味俱全，丝毫不比城市里的五星级酒店差，让人看着就忍不住吞口水!

饭桌上，我举起酒杯，对小姑说：“新年快乐，谢谢您为我们做这一桌的饭菜，辛苦了!”大家也都举起酒杯，一齐说：“新年快乐!”每个人脸上都露出无比灿烂的笑容，每个人都高高举起了酒杯说出最真挚的新年祝福，每个人碗里美味的饭菜，都使春节的年味十足!吃完了饭，我们一起烤着火，一起聊着天，十分的欢乐，火炉烤得我身上暖暖的，大家的笑容更让我心里也暖暖的，这才是年，这才是中国的年!

天色渐晚，大姑一家人也来到了这里，小小的屋子变得更热闹了。两个哥哥嘻笑打闹的声音，大人们聊天的声音，电视里春晚节目的声音，厨房里炒菜的声音，各种声音融汇交织，让人感觉无比的踏实、温暖。

“开饭了!”只听见饭厅传来了响亮的喊声，“大厨们”端上来的菜又一次吸引了我的眼球。金黄诱人的鱼代表着“年年有余”;香喷喷的猪嘴巴和猪尾巴代表着“有头有尾”;鲜嫩美味的鸡肉、鸭肉代表着“生活富足”;香甜软糯的汤圆代表着“团团圆圆”。中国人过年，这饭桌上的美味不仅种类繁多，还有着深厚的含义呢!

就在这时，我刚刚参加工作的哥哥站起来，拿出一个红包对我说：“桐桐，哥哥刚参加工作，工资不多，这里面的一百元钱，是我的一点心意，你收下吧!”我笑吟吟地回答：“好，谢谢哥哥，不过你要努力工作哦，下一次要给我发大红包哟!”我的回答引得大家哈哈大笑，全家人又一次举起了酒杯，齐呼：“新年快乐!”

这间小小的屋子，虽然不大，但承载着一家人过年时的温暖和幸福!

According to the variety of social background, personal experience and

personal emotion, differernt people have different opinions towards things.

Thus, there is no doubt that generation gap exists everywhere. We always find

that there are big differences between us and the old generation. We always

regard the old are outdated, while they think us are crazy. They can’t bear the

dress we like, the fashion we pursue or even our childish thinking. Instead, we

could put up with their standpat thingking and their “feudal rulers”. Thus, the

generation gap becomes more and more obvious and serious. However, why don’t we

realize that opinions can be changed, while people can’t. So, we can think in an

other way, learn to accept. It is certain that we can narrow the generation gap

to live a more harmonious life.
