As a lyric goes:“ You’ll be old if you don’t pursue something you like insanely.” I didn’t pay much heed on it the first time I saw this lyric. But you’ll never realize the profound meaning until you put it into practice.

Not long ago, I did a crazy , at least as far as I can see, thing. Well, you can guess it. I went to see a vocal concert of my favorite super star---Yan Yalun, who comes from Taiwan province. Although it happened two months ago, the stirring scene still excited me a lot every time I recollected it.

On January 9, 2013, Yalun held a concert at the centre of Kaide Square in Wuhan. I arrived there alone at about 11:20am. Cause the concert would begin at 5:00pm, I had to wait for nearly six hours. But it seemed that every fan who had arrived there gave a cold shoulder to the waiting time, the half of the square had already been occupied by Yalun’s fans. They were taking pictures of the advertisements about Yalun’s concert, buying album and making new friends with each other. About one century passed by, it was the wonder time next. With the thunderous applause breaking out, Yan Yalun presented at the stage. I burst into tears instantly I saw him. Then it was the official procession. He described what the new album tried to tell us and answered some questions asked by the host. The environmental pollution is worse and worse /more and more seriously today. Water is polluted; we have no clean water to drink. Many trees are cutting down, some animals is getting less and less. Some factories are pouring dirty air in the sky, the population is increasing faster and faster, resources are getting less and less…etc. Not only does it affect our lives and health, it but also has a great affection in the future. Peoples health has been greatly affected by air, noise and water pollution. Many people died of diseases. In order to live a better life, we need protect our world。

Lying at the center of Beijing， the Forbidden City， called Gu Gong， in Chinese， was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries， it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987， the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407， the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan， a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family， it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However， there is one exception. Wenyuange， the royal library， has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

随着校长史义文的一声令下，所有的选手们都开始下笔画画了。

不知道怎么说的是，我也是这些选手的其中之一。虽然我没有学过画画，而且才只来十多天，不过因为在课堂上画画，被老师抓到之后，他居然觉得我很有画画的天分，硬逼着我参加这个画画比赛。

我拿起画笔，迅速的从画纸旁边的颜料盘中，给画笔蘸上颜料，然后毫不犹疑的下笔画起来了。

寥寥几笔，我笔下的作品就显得生动起来了，这是一个绿色皮肤的健壮的怪物，隐约中与我们学校的校徽有些相似。

史莱克！没错，我画的就是我们的校徽——怪物史莱克，因为我也只能画这个了。史莱克学校的画画比赛从第一届以来，每一届都的画画题目，都只有三个字：史莱克。

此时，时间已经过去了二十多分钟。我抬头望了望还站在讲台上顾盼生辉的校长史义国先生，照着他的尊容完善起了史莱克还空白着的头部。

最后画出一条长长的，喷射出口水的舌头。我起身示意旁边巡视的老师我画好了，然后起身离开比赛场地。在场外，看着还在运笔疾挥的同学们，不由得竟然开始幻想我这次比赛得到第一名的场景来了。

“一年级三班的高大全同学，请你快到讲台上。”

忽然，在操场中临时搭建的讲台上，那个小眼睛老师的主持老师，左手拿着我的画挥舞着，右手拿着大话筒凑近嘴边向我们呼喊着我的名字！

我立刻快步走上了讲台，从他的手中接过话筒和我的画，然后走到演讲桌后面，踮起脚露出一个头，看着下面的全校师生，酝酿了一下说出了我幻想中想说的话。

“咳咳。”我清清了喉咙，只见所有的人都用不可思议的奇异眼光看着我，台下一时间竟然安静得落针可闻。

“谢谢评委老师们让我得了这次比赛的第一名。”随着我说出了第一句话，台下就发出了巨大的喧哗声……

“我还要感谢一个人，他就是我们的校长。”我用手往评委老师的中间指了指，“屎一锅，史校长……”

很奇怪的，不知道为什么台下的师生们又喧哗起来了，而且有好多人笑得很大声……然后，我就感觉到话筒好像失去了扩音效果……然后我接着又感觉到有人捂住我的嘴……

……后来，后来，我才明白，原来我是被叫上去检讨、悔过的，他们说……你懂得。

我叫王洋，今年刚满九岁，体重32公斤，有着1米37的个头。我长着一张不大不小的脸，眉毛弯弯的，眼睛大大的，鼻子高高的，嘴唇红红的，还算是个小帅哥吧！

我是一个比较胆小的人，关于胆小还有不少故事呢：

有一次，爸爸妈妈都上班去了，我一个人在家。过了一会儿，“咚、咚”，门被敲得直响，我从门缝里一看，是个陌生人，我立刻提高了警惕，任他怎么敲，我就是不开门。天渐渐黑了，屋里静得可怕，我吓得灯也不敢开，连气都不敢大喘一口，躲进了被窝里，头也不敢露出来，直出了一身冷汗。

还有一次，爸爸妈妈对我说：“我们出去买点东西，你一个人在家呆会儿，记住千万不要给陌生人开门！”我象啄食的小鸡一样使劲点着头。爸爸妈妈刚一走，我就觉得家里象是有人，于是悄悄拿起我的玩具小枪，上好子弹，到厕所、卧室、阳台、客厅依次检查，发现没有人，便去看书了，可我仍然心神不宁。终于盼到了爸爸妈妈回来，我急忙扑到了妈妈怀里……

我有很多爱好：看书、画画、滑旱冰、滑滑板等等。

A Trip to Beijing

My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer.

On the first day，we visited the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square. The next day，we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. Although we felt tired，it was a fantastic experience. The third day we relaxed. Then we had the Beijing roast duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world. Tom is interested in Chinese culture，so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in Lao She Teahouse in the evening. Finally，we did some shopping and flew back to Guilin.

The trip to Beijing was short，but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.

I am a girl who loves life, is positive, optimistic and conscientious. In the study and life of high school, I not only learned a lot of knowledge, but also improved in all aspects. In the face of difficulties, I never go back, always start my mind, try to solve the problem and overcome the difficulties. And every solution to a problem, to overcome a difficulty, all of my confidence has been promoted.
