初时感恩节没有固定日期，由各州临时决定，直到美国独立后，感恩节才成为全国性的节日。 每逢感恩节这一天，美国举国上下热闹非常，基督徒按照习俗前往教堂做感恩祈祷，城市乡镇到处都有化装游行、戏剧表演或体育比赛等。分别了一年的亲人们也会从天南海北归来，一家人团圆，品尝以“火鸡”为主的感恩节美食。

美国当地最著名的庆典则是从1924年开始的梅西百货感恩节游行(Macy‘s thanksgiving day parade)。

每逢感恩节这一天，美国举国上下热闹非凡，人们按照习俗前往教堂做感恩祈祷，城乡市镇到处举行化装游行、戏剧表演和体育比赛等，学校和商店也都按规定放假休息。孩子们还模仿当年印第安人的模样穿上离奇古怪的服装，画上脸谱或戴上面具到街上唱歌、吹喇叭。散居在他乡外地的家人也会回家过节，一家人团团围坐在一起，大嚼美味火鸡，并且对家人说：“谢谢!”。感恩节后，学校会让同学们画一张感恩节的画，大部分学生都画的是火鸡。

同时，好客的美国人也忘不掉这一天邀请好友、单身汉或远离家乡的人共度佳节。从18世纪起，美国就开始出现一种给贫穷人家送一篮子食物的风俗。当时有一群年轻妇女想在一年中选一天专门做善事，认为选定感恩节是最恰当不过的。所以感恩节一到，她们就装上满满一篮食物亲自送到穷人家。这件事远近传闻，不久就有许多人学着她们的样子做起来。不管遇到谁，他们都会说：“thank you!”

家好！我的名字叫杨博，杨家将的杨，博士的博，汉族。我的个子不矮，但和班上的高个儿比起来，就逊色多了。和大多数同学一样，我今年也是11岁。

我的缺点：主要是作事不麻利，自觉性不高，对自己的事不上心。上五年级的时候，学校就在我家对面。我却常常是七点半起床，要做半个多小时的准备才能出门，还经常迟到。因此同学们叫我“迟到大王”。现在，最起码六点多就要起床，才能有足够的时候吃饭、坐车等。这对我是个挑战。不过，我一定要借这个机会，改掉我不麻利的坏习惯。另外，自觉性不高，上课不免做些小动作、讲话。前几天大家都参加了军训，站着要一动也不动。我感到通过这次军训，我的自觉性有所提高。我也希望在以后的学习中改掉这个毛病。对自己的事不上心。我在当数学课代表时，有好几次本子忘发，作业没收齐，挨过老师不少责备。我也希望改掉它。我有决心改掉我的缺点和坏习惯。

我的优点：我和很多同学一样，也找不出我的优点。我和父母讨论之后得出：较有上进心，较乐观。至于我更多的优点，就靠大家的发掘了！

我的兴趣爱好。我比较喜欢游泳，踢足球，也对军事感兴趣。如果谁和我“志同道合”，就可以找我交个朋友。

对未来初中生活的期望。我希望能在这三年里快乐地度过，能和同学们结下深厚的友谊，能从老师那里学到更多的知识和道理。

学习目标：能考上重点高中；在班上成绩应理想；能够超过小学时的同学。我希望大家能够了解我，喜欢我。

新的学期又到了．生活翻开了崭新的一页，令人憧憬的校园接纳了我，我将与许多陌生的同学同窗三年，在新的学期里，为了让许多同学和老师认识我，了解我，我在这就先自我介绍．

我叫刘琴琴，今年十二岁，我弄浓浓的眉毛下镶嵌着一双炯炯有神的眼睛，高高的鼻子．我的爱好十分广泛有：弹琴、跳绳、看书等．我的独立性和自觉性都很强．

我的独立性很强主要表现在学习方面．我的父母亲都是中学教师．因为我又是独生孩子、在班上我的年龄又小，因此，同学们总以为我是在依赖我的父母亲，而事时上却是相反的。每当老师上课前，我总会提前预习，把老师要上的课文看几遍，读几遍。老师上课时，我会记笔记，认真听讲，老师要求掌握的知识我会认真去背、读、写、听，课后我会认真完成作业，作一些课外练习，做些奥赛题，及时复习学过的知识，长期以来我的学习成绩总是名列前矛。这是我独立性表现很强的一个方面。我的自觉性很强表现在帮妈妈做家务方面。我经常帮妈妈做家务如：洗碗、扫地、收拾房间、洗衣服……每当妈妈做饭时，我就会主动走过去帮妈妈煮饭洗菜…这些家务虽然是小事一桩，但也可以减轻妈妈的负担，我心里十分高兴。

除了这些之外，我在家还经常弹琴、看书，这些都是我的爱好。

我平时可喜欢看书了，只要有时间我就看书，家里给我买了许多课外书有：作文书、《中华上下五千年》《安徒生童话选》《莫泊桑小说精选》《童年》等等，这些都是我爱看的书。看书看累了，弹上一首轻松愉快的歌曲，即可以减轻疲劳，又可以表达内心的感情。看书看累了还可以出去走走、跳跳绳，这样既学得踏实，又玩得开心。

这就是我，一个普普通通的中学生，又是一个开朗快乐的少年。
