午饭后，她又拄着拐杖回去，还有半天班。下午6点，值班民警走到太婆身边，抬手指了指表，冲着她的耳朵大声说：“下班了。”太婆这才起身，由民警把她扶下石阶，送她回家。

遇到有事情，老人会到所长办公室请假。有一次所长不在，太婆还写了张“请假条”放在值班台上，说第二天要去参加一位亲戚的酒席，不来上班。3月8日那天，太婆在派出所发火了。因为当天所上的女民警放假休息，但没有通知她。“放假也不说一声，早晓得我就不来了嘛。”
