一声温和而怯生生的虫鸣，唤醒了沉睡着的夏。睡眼蒙胧的太阳拱开了地平线，慢悠悠地升了起来。初夏凉爽的晨风吹开了黑夜女神缥缈的面纱，掸着略带寒气的晨雾，呼唤着无边的田野中的万物，一个晴朗的夏日来了！

朝雾渐渐散尽，人家屋顶上升起袅袅炊烟，知名不知名的昆虫东一声西一声地叫着。早起的小鸟争先恐后地卖弄着清脆的喉咙，趁着早晨凉爽下地干活的农民互相问候，轻风流水应和着，组成一首美妙的晨曲。

是谁惹恼了太阳？它开始喷射出无情的火焰，炙烤大地了。炎热的空气似乎凝滞了。烦人的蝉儿在枝头狂叫着：“知了，知了！”善解人意的大树顶着烈日，为那些刚从地里回来的男男女女送来阴凉。孩子们可不怕热，他们还成群地在田野里、水塘边飞跑，像一群撒欢儿的小牛犊，不知疲倦。

傍晚，夕阳停在了树梢，向大地放射着它此时特有的光辉：殷红中微微带着点儿橘黄色。它不情愿地一点点向下挪，慢慢地掉进天边的树林间，西天的红云也渐渐褪色，天际的树林缓缓地脱去了那件镶着彩边的披肩。天空变成灰蓝色，幽幽地透着神秘，夜幕降临了。

夏天的夜晚更加迷人。昆虫开始狂欢：粗嗓门的青蛙，细声儿的蟋蟀，还有些叫不出名字的小东西们，全尽情地投入歌唱或演奏着自己最拿手的曲子。叫了一天倦极了的知了，偶尔还忍不住卖弄一嗓子。小河的两岸，婀娜的垂柳姑娘伸出她长长的手臂，轻拂着白亮亮的溪水；一株喇叭花悄悄爬上了树，咧开了大嘴巴，是看到眼前的美景忍不住开心，还是在大声呼唤在水里嬉戏的鱼儿？萤火虫旁若无人地提着灯笼一闪一闪地在河面上、树林间徜徉。夜空中，满天的繁星调皮地眨着眼，和地上的萤火虫打着暗号。银河像一条乳白色的腰带，是哪位仙姑落下的？

究竟是哪一位粗心的画家，在这幅迷人的描完最后一笔后，竞忘了题名便掷笔而去？我无心过问，因为我已完全陶醉于这幅迷人的画图中了。我可爱的夏的乡村啊！

乡村的早晨，有奇异的美景，一缕缕淡淡的晨雾像绸带飘在湛蓝的天空，绸带两头分别系着远处的大山和近处的田野。前几天，田野里还是鹅黄嫩绿，芽苞初放。转眼间，到处都是浓阴。稻田换上耀眼的浅黄色新装，每根稻杆都擎起了丰满的穗儿，那齐刷刷的稻芒，犹如乐谱上的线条，一个稻穗儿，就是一个跳动的音符。

忽然从耳边传来“嘎嘎嘎”的叫声，闻声而过，只见一群鹅到池塘边，它们一只只地跳进水里。游戏水中，不时把头扎到水中去觅食。鸡，乡下人家照例总要养几只。有些小鸡去池塘边凑热闹，在池塘边唧唧喳喳地东奔西跑，和顽皮的孩子没有什么两样;还有一些小鸡跟着母鸡去觅食;大公鸡则耸着尾巴在空地上大踏步地走来走去，不时发出“喔喔”的叫声。它们和乡下人家一起，绘成了一幅自然、和谐的田园风景画。看了让人流连忘返。

乡村的夏天是多姿多彩的，美妙而迷人。

清晨，乡村是安静与平和的。太阳公公露出了红红的笑脸，大公鸡从睡梦中醒过来，奋力的啼叫着，催促着人们快点起床。我一骨碌爬起来，在凉凉的晨风中，走着。喇叭花精神十足地挺着腰板，吹起了紫色的小喇叭，它们一个个你挤我碰，尽情地展示自己美丽的身姿。

晌午，乡村是热闹的。太阳发出耀眼的光芒，炙烤着大地。知了在树上不停的叫着，神气十足的喇叭花，现在却耷拉着脑袋，无精打采的。在小溪边还有一群鸭子，他们自由自在的玩耍，不时拍打两下翅膀，嘎嘎的叫两声。仿佛在向喇叭花炫耀自己的悠闲。

傍晚，乡村是柔和的。太阳渐渐落山，此时已经变成夜来香的世界。你看，它们一个个梳妆打扮，准备开一场管弦音乐会呢!它们用绚丽的晚霞做胭脂，涂红了娇美的脸蛋;用金色的阳光做长裙，套在了那柔韧的腰肢上......

summer is my favorite season. i think i have every reason in the world to like summer as i do. one thing i like the most about summer is we dont have to wear layers of clothes. you would feel lighter and happier, even the whole world seems to be lighter and happier than it in gloomy winter . people also seem to be more outgoing and easygoing in summer.

the second reason is the temperature is good enough for a lot of outdoor activities. being outdoorsy, i would feel annoyed if i was cooped up by bad weather in winter. on the contrary, summer weather ususally wont stop you from going out for days.
