李自成，陕西米脂县人，初名鸿基，明末农民起义领袖。称帝时以李继迁为太祖。

李自成出身贫苦，童年时给地主放羊。崇祯二年（1629年）起义，后为闯王高迎祥部下的闯将，勇猛有识略。崇祯八年荥阳大会时，提出分兵定向、四路攻战的方案，受到各部首领的赞同，声望日高。次年高迎祥牺牲后，他继称闯王。十一年在潼关战败，仅率刘宗敏等十余人，隐伏商雒丛山中（在豫陕边区）。次年出山再起。十三年又在巴西鱼腹山（腹一作复）被困，以五十骑突围，进入河南。其时中原灾荒严重，阶级矛盾极度尖锐。李岩提出“均田免赋”等口号。李自成在荥阳斩露头角。他在艰难困苦的推翻王朝的战争岁月中，绝不向任何敌人屈服，与战士同甘苦、共患难，提出了有利于百姓的“均田免粮”口号。当时的歌谣说：“吃他娘、着他娘，吃着不尽有闯王，不当差，不纳粮。”当时远近传播，深得人心。部队发展到百万之众，成为农民战争中的主力军。崇祯十六年（1643年） 李自成在襄阳称新顺王。同年，在 河南汝州（今临汝）歼灭明陕西总督孙传庭的主力，旋乘胜进占西安。次年正月，建立大顺政权，年号永昌。

1644年，李自成的起义军占领北京，推翻了统治276年之久的朱明王朝。李自成进京后，军纪严明，基本保持了农民军的本色，但是在胜利之中，滋生了骄傲情绪。不仅对复杂多变的东北边关形势没有清醒的认识，更没有想到如何对付清军，对于部下、士兵的日益腐化也没有采取必要的防范措施，武将忙于“追赃助饷”，文官忙于开科取士、登极大典，士兵沉溺于胜利之中，认为战斗已经结束，可以高枕无忧了。

这样一来，起义军丧失了斗志。由于清军对吴三桂的支持，迫使李自成起义军撤回北京，而清军直逼京城。李自成的山海关战役失利，使形势发生了重大的变化，原来投降起义军的明朝官吏纷纷出来对抗起义军。比如牛金星，原来是明朝的一个举人，为了避祸加入李自成的起义军，早期为起义军的扩建作出了很大的贡献，为此被册封为天佑殿大学士。但他却以开国功臣自居，私下对人说像李自成这样的农民政权，一定会失败。在起义军形势不利的情况下，他开始设计捕杀起义军将领李岩兄弟。刘宗敏得到这一消息后，怒斥牛金星。牛金星不久离开了李自成，前往河南，这样大顺政权的内部出现了分裂。最终在清军的追击下，李自成被迫离京出走，退到西安。顺治元年（1644年）十二月，清军出击潼关，大顺军列阵迎战，清军因主力及大炮尚未到达，坚守不战。顺治二年（1645年）清军以红衣大炮攻破潼关，李自成战败向南溃退，经襄阳入湖北，试图与武昌的明朝总兵左良玉联合抗清。左良玉东进南京，去南明朝廷“清君侧”，在征讨马士英病死途中。四月李自成入武昌，但被清军一击即溃。最后，死于湖北通山县九宫山。

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

Recently，hazy weather has become commonin China. People wear masks to avoid

poisonous air. Emissionproduced from factories and cars is the main source. The

smog surely hasnegative effects on peoples health especially that of

thechildren and the elderly .But how to deal with it?

First， the government should perfect laws to punish those factories

thatignore the protection. And businessmen must pay more attention to

theenvironment instead of money. Second， green commuting and alow-carbon life

are supposed to be called for. Third，we should develop green and energy-saving

energy to lower theemission of haze.

If we work together，our environmentwill get better and better and haze

weather will disappear completely.

妈妈您虽然不是什么教育家，也不是什么老师，但我觉得您比他们还会教育孩子。记得那一次，我语文期中考，因为作文跑了题，没有得高分，我忐忑不安的走回家，平常二、三分钟就可以走完的路，今天却走了三十分钟。到一了家门口我的手心都出了汗。走进家中，爸爸妈妈上班还没有回来，我想：我把试卷藏起来，妈妈就不会知道吧！晚上我再自己签个字就行了。说办就办，我把试卷藏在我的枕头底下。妈妈回来了，她问我：“星星试卷发下来了没有？”我说：“没有。”真的？妈妈问。我说“嗯…”、妈妈想了一会儿说：“那你们老师讲了试卷上的题目没有。”我说：“讲了。”既然你们老师连试卷上的题目都讲了怎么可能没有发试卷呢。妈妈说：“快去把试卷那来给我看。”我忐忑不安的把试卷给妈妈看，妈妈看后，对我说：“考了这么点分还不诚实。”说完“哟”一个耳光落在我的脸上并开了花。不知什么时候，我那不争气的眼泪落下来了。打完后，妈妈对我说：“有一句话说得好，天下最笨的人，不是精神病人，而是不诚实的人。这次虽然没有考好，但我们可以在努力，但如果诚实没有了，那什么都没了”。我点点头。

虽然您没有语言表达，但您让我懂得了人生的黑白与真假。虽然您不会表达岀您对我的真情，但您让我懂得人间真情。

没有天哪有地，没有地哪有家，没有家哪有您，没有您哪有我。是您给了我人生的机会；是您给了我一个幸福美满的家庭；是您给我生命；是您让我能在这个七彩的世界上生活！

中国从古至今都是一个文明古国，都是一个举世闻名的国家。这真令我自豪！

自从唐朝开始，中国就令全世界人民瞩目，那是因为唐朝的诗歌、书法与绘画。李白、杜甫、白居易等，写出的诗歌既有豪迈奔放、气魄雄伟，又有悲郁沧桑、如歌如泣，还有直白如画、通俗易懂。唐朝的顏真卿和柳公权的笔法非常出名，并称为“顏筋柳骨”。这就令我非常自豪。

新中国成立后，立刻就发射了“东方红”一号卫星，并研制出了杀伤力极强的核武器，使我们国家不再受到外国的威胁。这都使我感到自豪，让外国人目瞪口呆。更令我骄傲的是中国原先落后的航天技术飞升至世界前列。

还让我感到自豪的是，每当自然灾害来临时，中国军队火速救援，中国人民团结一心，中国领导人的沉着指挥，让大多数人民群众在大雪灾、大地震中活了下来。真令我自豪！

这几年来，最让我感到自豪的是，我们能成功举办让世人赞叹的奥运会和亚运会！这是多么让我激动与自豪啊！想一想，中国健儿终于有一天能在自己家里看到国旗升起，听到国歌奏响，能在自己的家门口领到奥运会金牌，他们的心里该有多么地自豪啊！

就像那首歌那样唱的“五星红旗，我为你骄傲；五星红旗，我为你自豪……”，中国，我也为你而感到骄傲，感到自豪！

我的文具盒很骄傲，它瞧不起里面的任何文具，常常奚落它们。

“如果没有我，你们还会往哪里放呢？”文具盒傲慢的说。

“主人会给我们重新找一个地方。”钢笔、铅笔、橡皮、尺子等所有文具异口同声地回答。

“这不可能，绝对不可能！”文具盒高高地扬起了自己的头，“我这么美丽，主人怎么可能不把你们放在我这里？她是绝对不会把我扔掉的。”

“如果你认为主人不会把你扔掉，那么我们为什么就不能和睦相处呢？”钢笔说，“难道我们就不能快快乐乐、开开心心的生活吗？”

“你们跟着我，我感到羞耻。你们都算什么东西，主人一定会把我打扮的更加漂亮。”文具盒愤愤地说。

可是，没过多久，主人就买了一个新的文具盒，把所有的文具都装了进去，然后把那个骄傲自大的文具盒扔进了垃圾桶。

这个故事告诉我们一个道理，“尺有所长，寸有所短。”我们不应该只看到他人身上的缺点，更应该发掘他们身上的优点，我们也要看到自己身上的缺点，互帮互助，和大家和睦相处。
