2015年9月我进入了浙江少儿广播合唱团二团，每次上课都做到不迟到、不早退、不请假。经过我的努力学习和刻苦练习顺利通过了考核，我参加了意大利的交流演出，并在最短的时间内升入一团，没过多久就奔赴俄罗斯参加世界合唱大赛。这合唱之旅虽然忙碌，但却收获颇丰！在去年的汇报演出时，我们用八种语言演唱了16首歌曲，震撼并感动了在场的所有观众。

可惜天下无不散之筵席，随着我学业负担的加重，家里又即将增添一个小宝宝，这样一来，每周跑一趟杭州变得更为辛苦和不易。于是我们只能选择放弃。记得我退团的那晚，六楼的教室中聚满了人，有的坐，有的站，有老师、有学生、有家长，狄老师先首先宣布了今晚将要为一些同学举行退团仪式，随后有说有笑又有泪地讲了一些往事，听着听着，我的眼泪也情不自禁地落了下来。接着，魏团长邀请将要退团的那些同学上去做最后的告别发言。我一下子就慌了，霎时手脚变得冰凉，因为我根本没有准备啊！但又一想，我们一起经历了那么多，怎么会没话好说呢？我在所有退团的同学们中是最小的一个，所以我最后一个走上去发言。本以为有太多的话语可以表达我对合唱团的感谢与不舍，可哪知当我说完第一句话：首先感谢老师、同学在合唱之旅中对我的帮助与陪伴……并边说边深深地鞠了一躬，此时泪水已模糊了我的双眼，鼻头一酸，泪水不止，回忆的闸门也随即打开，一段段一幕幕。就在这时，在场的所有人掌声响起，魏团长和狄老师也走过来紧紧地拥抱了我，这一份爱与温暖再一次让我泪流！

遇见，是一种缘分，浙江少儿广播合唱团，跟你在一起的时光我会好好珍藏的，感谢你，感谢老师，感谢同学！我虽已离你远去，但在我心中，你的身影仍时常浮现，你，仍是我的骄傲！

又是一个如诗如画的春天，我们将迎来我国成立67年周年华诞。放眼望去960万平方公里里的国土，鸟语花香，锦绣河山，繁花似锦，长城起舞，大海波扬……

在我国还没改革开发时，许多家庭住的屋子只有一间，六、七个人挤在一起。以前的屋子可不是我们这种水泥房，是用一些烂砖头、稻草搭的。地板也没有我们现在的瓷砖好，只是普通的泥地，上面长着草呢，或许还有蚂蚁呢！这些屋子夏天没有窗户，哪像我们，有风扇、空调吹，他们躺在床上睡觉时，会满头大汗。下小雨大雨那才叫惨，地板又湿又滑，还会长青苔，有时在泥地走着走着就会摔一跤。现在我们的条件好了，住上了一栋大房子，那里通风好，环境好，外形设计更加好！

这67年来，祖国创造了无数奇迹：神五、神六火箭，奥运会，残疾人奥运会的成功举办……

在那蓝蓝的天空下，我们成功举办了奥运会和残奥会。到了赛场上，个个选手都尽自己的能力去为祖国夺得一枚金牌，他们都像装了发条的机器人似得，拼命争夺，为什么要这么在意这枚金牌呢？因为选手们夺得金牌，就等于为祖国而骄傲！为祖国争光！

随着科技的发展变化，人类创造了神五，神六号火箭，就在今年，人类又发明了月兔号火箭，它们成功登上月球，在月球上留下了中国人的脚印，写下了中国人的名字。

这些伟大的变化发展，种种证明了祖国伟大的变化，这些奇迹，都是我们祖国的母亲、中国人民一起创造的！

I have heard a beautiful poetry, written by a novelist, Amy Cheung. With a

little adjustment, it can vividly depict the alienation among people in reality

- "The further distance in the world is not between life and death. But when I

stand in front of you, your eyes turn to your smartphone; don’t know that I love

you."

The smartphone has been gaining a great popularity, becoming a toxic

compulsion. It has invaded our lives and occupied all our interstitial time. It

is so commonly seen that the smartphone addicts attend to their phone, ignoring

everything. Even meeting with friends, they often pull out the phone in order to

take a photo, check a message or even play with a game. Seeming connected with

the whole world, they have actually fiddled the conversation and done harm to

the relationship.

It is high time that we threw away the phone and raised our heads up. Do

cherish the ones around us and appreciate the splendid scenery ahead of us.

However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.

This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fools Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.

In Scotland, for example, April Fools Day is actually celebrated for two days. The second day is devoted to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. It is called Taily Day. The origin of the "kick me" sign can be traced to this observance.

Mexicos counterpart of April Fools Day is actually observed on December 28. Originally, the day was a sad remembrance of the slaughter of the innocent children by King Herod. It eventually evolved into a lighter commemoration involving pranks and trickery.

Pranks performed on April Fools Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoes untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommates alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fools Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fools Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fools Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. Its simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

I am writing to share my ideas about our English class. Now, our main

material in the class is the textbook, which is reasonable. But I think we can

get some other resources, such as English magazines, songs, movies and so on. We

can learn the basic knowledge from out textbook, and get some more from other

materials. In addition, those materials are more authentic and practical, which

will be useful to our learning. Besides, by doing so, we can get more fun from

learning and develop our interest to English. Please take good consideration of
