Good morning， ladies and gentlemen， boys and girls. Now ，It‘s my turn. My name is Edgar， a high school student. I am very honored to be here to give you a speech. Also it’s a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make a good performance today. The topic of my speech is “After studying here”.

Before I came here，I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries， which can‘t be got from my books in school. Three months ago， I took my first class. Unfortunately， I felt so embarrassed， because I even can’t speak any words， though I know I really love English .

“笃、笃、笃……”森林里又响起了这欢快的声音，大伙们听了心里美滋滋的。

此时，发出声音的正是啄木鸟先生。它正在用长长的嘴巴给大树爷爷治病，它的嘴又长又硬，还很锋利，像凿子一样，再小的虫子也逃不过。啄木鸟非常厉害，每天都忙着为大树们治病呢，经过它的治疗，每棵树都恢复了健康。人们都很喜欢它，人前人后对它是赞不绝口。

Santa, you are a magical person. Although I have never seen you, I can

imagine what you look like. On December 24, you ride in a sleigh pulled by 12

reindeer and drop presents down chimneys from house to house. You will satisfy

I also have a Christmas wish this year. I want Avang and Darky back to me.

Awan is a dog that my grandfather picked up. Awan was no ordinary dog. It has

the blood of the Wolf, so it is a Wolf dog. Not long after, Awang became

pregnant and gave birth to The paparazzi, Xiao Hei. As a mother, Awang loves her

son, Xiao Hei, very much. I also very painful small black, a little bump all

When Xiao Hei was nearly five years old, my grandfather suddenly had a

stroke and was unable to take care of himself in the hospital bed. Little Hei

was afraid of thunder since he was a child. The other day I went to see grandpa

in the hospital. It was thundering and thundering outside. Grandma was at my

sisters house, and I was afraid to walk home alone. So I was in the hospital

waiting for my mother to pick me up and go home with me. But mom cant come to

pick me up because of something.

在小黑快五岁的时候，我的爷爷突然得了中风，躺在病床上不能自理。小黑从小就怕打雷。那天我去医院看望爷爷。外面雷电交加，风雨大作。当时奶奶在妹妹家，我一个人又不敢走回家。所以我在医院等妈妈过来接我一起回家。可是妈妈临时有事不能来接我了。

所以一咬牙我就一个人冲进了大雨中。雨太大了，我一路飞奔。朦胧中，我看到两个移动的黑点在朝我跑过来。我很开心，肯定是阿旺和小黑来迎接我回家。可是我太高兴了，忘了前面是红灯，冲了出去。说时迟那时快，阿旺跑到我面前替我挡住了汽车迎面而来的撞击。

车主下车一看，原来撞到的是条狗，没说什么就驱车离开了。我非常无奈，很想找他拼命。可是阿旺的命更重要。想到这，我立马抱起阿旺跑到宠物医院。

医生说“不用做手术了，基本上没救了。”听到这，我不由自主地放声大哭。医生看我实在太伤心，建议给阿旺安乐死。我只能忍痛答应，我不想让阿旺临死前那么痛苦。

在一片寂静的森林里，住着一只骄傲的孔雀，它之所以骄傲是来源于它的外貌，这只骄傲的孔雀总是凭着自己的外貌来评价其他动物。那么，它到底有多美呢？

孔雀头上长着许多根漂亮的羽毛，那一根根羽毛犹如一朵朵美丽的翡翠花，合起来就像是一把插着许多根美丽羽毛的扇子。孔雀在开屏的时候，那些羽毛就慢慢颤动地展开，好像是一朵刚从梦中醒来的睡莲，慢慢展开花瓣。当孔雀完全开屏的时候，就像一把美丽的大扇子。这只孔雀还真的是人见人爱，花见花开！

有一天清晨，太阳刚刚升起来，这只骄傲的孔雀就到森林里散步，它走着走着，突然，在一片果园里遇见了一只正在采摘水果的刺猬，刺猬看到孔雀，就连忙向孔雀很有礼貌地打招呼：“早上好呀，孔雀！”孔雀瞧了瞧刺猬两眼，骄傲地说：“就你那一身全是刺，还有你那一张丑陋的脸，真恶心，别跟我问好，哼！”刺猬背起满是水果的箩筐，又生气又难过地回家了。接着孔雀来到了一条小河边，看到一只小松鼠在水中央扑通挣扎着喊：“快救救我，孔雀，快救救我……”然而，孔雀就像没听到一样无情地走了，一边走一边说：“就这一只小松鼠才不值得我救它呢！”

几年后，这只孔雀还是如此骄傲，都不愿意和别人交朋友，慢慢地，其他动物都把它孤立了，不和它来往。就这样，孔雀孤独地度过了一生。

那一次，我尝到了骄傲的滋味。

记得三年级的一天，语文老师告诉我们第二天要考试第三单元的试卷。

回到家，我开始了复习。可翻开课本，越翻越觉得第三单元学习得挺好，生字会写了，课文也熟悉了，该背的也会背了。这还复习啥呀，不一会儿我就觉得腻了，放下课本，干脆就不复习了。

第二天考试开始，拿到卷子，我心里慌张起来，发现很多书上学过的知识，脑子里模模糊糊好像学过，又好像没学过，到最后，脑子里甚至一片空白，什么也想不起来。我后悔极了，复习是加深我们的学习印象啊，早知道好好复习了。哪怕看一遍书，也不会这样啊。交卷时间到了，我还有好几题没答完。

试卷发到手里，看到试卷上一个大大的“D”，我真想大哭一场，望望同桌的试卷，心里更加难过了。

我在心里暗暗下定决心，下次一定要好好复习考出好成绩，可别再骄傲了！

我最深刻的骄傲就是我自己能上这么好的学校，再考小学的圣后，我轻轻松松考到这这所小学，这所小学样样都比其他的小学都要好，爸爸妈妈果然没有选错这所学校，可是上了三年级的时候，不争气的我，一直在学校捣乱，老师曾多次把爸爸、妈妈叫过来，教训我一番。现在爸爸、妈妈都会我的成绩而分担，总觉得在学校教这么多的钱，自己的学习也不见涨，有点失望，回家之后就让我写作业，不让我玩。可是到了四年级的时候，我饿成绩稍微有了一点上进，爸爸妈妈都很高兴，我在这个学校过的很幸福，夏天在教室离开空调，冬天就烧暖气，我是多么高兴自己能来到这些个学校，我事多的骄傲。

我的家乡在龙虎山鱼塘舒家，龙虎山有许多景点是天下之绝。

龙虎山有“金枪峰”、“象鼻山”、“五指山”。有的像巨大的脸盆，有的像两个泥娃娃，还有的像梳子等等。

其中我最喜欢的一个景点就是"尼姑背和尚走不得”。说起这个尼姑背和尚“走不得”，还有一个美丽的传说呢。

很久以前在一座双峰里有一位美丽善良的尼姑，因为受天庭的约束，她不能离开这座山峰，更不能与凡人相爱。

一百年后，尼姑听说传说中的神草再次出现，于是她就冒着违反天条的风险乘坐自己的坐骑天元凤凰出了这座山峰去寻找传说中的神草。尼姑费尽艰辛，找到神草之时，却看见一个和尚为了取这种神草而受伤严重，原本可以轻易取走神草的尼姑却动了恻隐之心，并救下了和尚。和尚感恩尼姑的相救便将神草相送与尼姑，尼姑感激之余动了凡心与和尚相爱了。

但他们相爱的事很快就被天庭所知，更派人要将尼姑抓回去接受天条处置。和尚不愿意与尼姑分开，便带着尼姑私奔。但他们跑到龙虎山时被一条泸溪河拦住了去路，河面太宽，河水又急。

看到前无进路，后有追兵的尼姑，跟和尚两人心意相通都决定，不让天庭抓回去接受酷刑，两人只愿意长相思守。于是尼姑使用自身的全部神力将自己与背上的和尚全部石化定身在这条美丽的泸溪河旁，永远相依相伴。

这是多么感人的传说啊，后人即把此山取名为"尼姑背和尚走不得"。

龙虎山还是全国AAAAA级景区，国家自然文化双遗产、道教的发源地。

我真为我出生在龙虎山而感到骄傲，我爱我的家乡龙虎山。

自从盘古开天，火是人类伟大的发明。我们的生活离不开火，但是如果用火不当，火就像一个恶魔，吞噬人类的生命和财产。所以说它就像一把“双刃剑”。我们在日常生活中应该小心谨慎地用火。只有这样，我们才能建造美好的家园。下面我来讲一个亲身经历的教训。

还是我五岁那年。我一个人在房间里玩，无意之间看到了一个打火机，我学着爸爸的样子使劲按了几下，“咔嚓”一声，没想到竟然被我给点着了，差点烧到我的手，我非常害怕。便把燃烧着的打火机扔进了垃圾桶，没想到垃圾桶也烧起来了。我迅速把爸爸妈妈扯进房间。爸爸妈妈一进门便吓得目瞪口呆，立即拿来了一盆清水，把燃烧的垃圾桶扑灭了。这下我才松了口气，后来爸爸妈妈严肃地批评了我，告诉我：如果不及时扑灭的话，后果将不堪设想。因为，火不断地蔓延，会把整栋楼化为灰烬。并告诫我以后再也不能犯同样的错误了。从那一刻起我就明白了：不是任何东西都可以拿来玩，特别是火这一类危险物品，千万不能随便玩弄。否则，失去的将是宝贵的生命。

随着年龄的慢慢增长，我了解了更多的消防知识，也更加明白了“水火无情”的道理。一但遇到着火，千万不要慌张，一定要保持冷静镇定，早报警，牢记火警电话“119”，报警时讲清楚地址。起火原因等;决不能贪恋财物。首先要逃跑或找大人;逃跑时应用湿毛巾捂住鼻子，以免中毒;同样也要严守秩序，不能争先恐后，互相拥挤，自相踩踏，以免发生不该发生的悲剧。

每个人只有一次生命，我们要珍惜自己和他人宝贵的生命。同学们，让我们多了解消防常识，从小树立消防意识，争做消防安全小卫士。

为什么要有嫉妒呢？

为什么要有骄傲呢？

换句话说，人为什么会嫉妒、会骄傲呢？

就是发生在今天的事儿。一直以来，我们这个年级的拔河比赛，都是4班夺得冠军的。因此，我们其他三个班都很害怕4班，不希望拔河的时候遇上4班。可是我们学校又一届的拔河比赛，我们又抽到了和4班比赛，赢的班去和另外两个班中的胜者争夺第一名。

我们虽然有惧怕，但更多的是鼓励自己，鼓励同学，就是希望能够挑战自己。到了拔河的时候，我们班早早地来到了场地，一边准备一边给同学加油鼓劲。比赛快开始的时候，4班才慢慢悠悠以胜利者的姿态走到场地，还 不时用轻蔑的眼神看看我们。我们一下子被激发了斗志，浑身热血沸腾，这一切都在哨声响起的那一刻开始——拔河比赛正式开始。我们全部参赛人员都鼓足了劲儿，用力往后拉，就是要灭灭他们的那股骄傲劲儿。就在他们最骄傲的时候，来个当头一棒——就在这时，结束的哨声响起，我们全班同学欢呼了起来，而我，一边笑，一边抑制住自己激动地想哭。

可是4班那边情绪低落的不行。我们也只管自己庆祝，没有对他们冷嘲热讽。但没想到，在他们眼里，我们竟是这样的人——或者说，他们是这样的人。

比赛结束后，我们班有些同学在走廊上遇见了4班同学。一个4班同学说：“你看看，这就是1班。”另一个自己曾经的好友居然也附和：“现在你该知道1班是什么的样的人了吧。”听了以后，我火冒三丈！输了就输了嘛，干什么还 在那边逞强！也不服输，怎么，还 没有浇灭他们的士气吗？我气坏了，是他们自己骄傲过头了，干嘛要嫉妒我们！

相反的，有的时候就算应该嫉妒，但也应该好好想想，到底值不值得嫉妒。

当看到自己最好的朋友和别人一起上台表演时，只能在台下默默地跟着她们唱着自己最喜欢的歌曲的时候，难道不应该嫉妒吗？可是有谁嫉妒了？当看到自己最好的朋友心里第一位是别人的时候，难道不应该嫉妒吗？可是有谁嫉妒了？当看到自己最好的朋友渐渐地不和自己玩了，和别人玩了，不应该嫉妒吗？可是有谁嫉妒了？

“一、一、一二一……”嘹亮的跑操进行曲，久久回荡在操场上空，传遍了校园的每个角落，传到了所有一附少先队员的心中。原来，三、四、五年级的同学正在进行跑操比赛。那朝气蓬勃的气势深深地震撼了每个在场的评委。

音乐声已经响起，我们身着红绿校服，脚蹬浅色运动鞋，个个神情严肃、严阵以待。心想：“这次一定要发挥出最好的水平，夺取冠军，为母校争光。”

“跑步---走！”随着体育老师的一声令下，比赛正式开始。同学们“唰”的一起紧握双拳，个个如同绷紧的弓弦一触即发。队伍如同一条条笔直的长龙步入操场。

瞧，韩仲麟完美地演绎着“行如风”的真谛。他目光炯炯，好似一个雷达探测着前方，连一毫米的微小差距都不肯放过。他神态严峻，双唇紧闭，双手好似被胶水粘住了一般，紧紧地夹在腰间，无论速度有多快都毫不动摇。双脚好似一台永不停息的机器，“左、右、左”地奋力地迈着整齐的步伐。节奏与老师的口令“几乎精准无误”；肩膀与旁边的同学连在一起，形成一条笔直的线。寒冷的天气打消不了他的意志；步伐的快慢改变不了他的节奏。我看着他努力的样子，也更加卖力。可是我口渴难耐，喉咙里好似着了火一般。双手也麻木了，渐渐地下垂、下垂。我的双脚好似灌满了铅一般，有千万斤重。我试图想要放弃。就在这时，我耳畔回响起那排山倒海似的“一、二、三、四……”我的脑海顿时浮现出我们平时那辛苦拼搏的场景。对！我不能放弃，不能拖集体的后腿，一定要为集体的荣誉去努力。我昂起头，跟着节奏迈开了步伐。

近了、近了，快到终点了！“立定！”我们心有灵犀，同时停下了脚步，化作一颗颗小松树挺立在操场上。啊！我们终于成功了！小草见证了我们的努力；阳光在为我们呐喊！我骄傲，我是一名一附跑操队员！汗水与泪水融合在了一起，燃烧在心中的是一颗滚热的爱校之心！

In the Warring States Period, a man in the state of Chu was offering a sacrifice(祭品) to his ancestors. After the ceremony, the man gave a beaker of wine to his servants.

The servants thought that there was not enought wine for all of them, and decided to each draw a picture of snake; the one who finished the picture first would get the wine.

One of them drew very rapidly. Seeing that the others were still busy drawing, he added feet to the snake.

At this moment, another man finished, snatched the beaker(烧杯，大口杯) and drank the wine, saying,"A snake doesnt have feet. How can you add feet to a snake?"

This idiom refers to ruining a venture by doing unnecessary and surplus things.

Last weekend ,I didn’t want to do homework all day .I wanted to go to somewhere. That was fun. I went to the zoo with my friend JingWen . I bought two tickets .One is for JingWen ,the other is for me .Then we took a bus to the zoo.

The zoo is very big .There are many kinds of animals at the zoo.What animal did we see.We saw tiger,momkey,panada,lion,elephant,and so on .I like monkey and panada best .Because momkey and panada are pretty and they can make me happy .I didn’t feed any animals .Because I don’t what kind of animals eat to make strong and I didn’t eat any snacks . I wanted to keep the zoo clean .Finally ,we feel tired and we leave the zoo. I think the zoo is good for animals ,why? Because the zoo can help people to stop animals from going extinct.and I think zoos are bad for animals.Because the zoo make animals feel lonely and animals will misses they family.

[中学生英文作文：我的快乐周末(My happy weekend)

In summer I usually get up early in the morning to exercise. Raising my head, I see the vast space in the sky. There are fish scales clouds, cotton-like clouds, sheep like clouds and dark blue clouds like a lake. The clouds are moving silently, changing constantly in shape.

Looking to the east, the sun is gradually showing her face, as if realising shes being watched. She blushes in shyness. Climing up the tree and over the house, the suns rays become radiant. It hurts the eye to watch it. A dark cloud tries to throw its shadow over the sun and shroud her in its shade. But the suns rays are irresistably bright. They cannot be covered.

Soon the trees, the houses, the river, in fact, everything is bathed in the golden sun. The almighty sun is generous and the source of energy and the symbol ot truth and knowledge. No wonder an many people sing in praise of her.

我的爸爸虽然鼻梁上架着一副厚厚的眼镜，但是长得很健壮，手臂上硬硬的小疙瘩便是爸爸经常锻炼的成果。爸爸最怕变胖了，就连胖了一小圈也要诚惶诚恐。爸爸做事很认真，也经常帮助我，我很喜欢他。

比如这两天，爸爸给我网上买的白玉蜗牛刚刚送到家，我便迫不及待的想要喂食了。我漫不经心的抓了一把饲料就洒到一片菜叶上，一不小心洒太多了，我心急如焚，急得上蹿下跳，心想：这下可怎么办啊？可是爸爸泰然自若，用两个手指捏了一点儿饲料，慢慢的，均匀的洒到另一片菜叶上，那神情认真极了。不一会儿，每片菜叶上都均匀的洒上了饲料，完美、快速，不愧是超级老爸啊！

接着，爸爸又帮助我倒椰土，他全神贯注的把整袋椰土慢慢倒下去，均匀的铺满了盒子，又是很完美，相比之下，我真是毛手毛脚呀！爸爸继续工作着，十分钟后，所有工作都完成了，我好高兴啊。爸爸有点得意：“看我多厉害，一下子就弄好了。”尾巴都要翘上天啦！我彻底无语了。

这就是我的爸爸，一个做事认真，但会像小孩子一样骄傲的爸爸。

appointment. I do know that this is very impolite and must have caused you much

trouble.

I do reckon that at present any explanation is pale and futile. However I

do not want you to misunderstand me. On my way to your office, an old lady

suddenly fainted due to heart attack on the bus. I stopped a taxi and sent her

into a nearby hospital. I stayed there until her came, which spoiled our

appointment.

I am aware that our appointment is of importance. I do hope that you would

be kind enough to spare your valuable to meet me.
