在上世纪60年代以前，国内照像摆拍是最普通不过的事情。几乎所有人照像都需要摆拍。生活照如此，新闻照片往往也是这样。那时照像与现在数码时代不同，胶片比较昂貴，感光度较低，不是所有人都能照得起像、照得好像。在人们心中照像近乎一项奢侈行为，无论照什么像人们都期望一定要照好。甚至当时国家领导人照像也要摆拍，如江青为林彪照的学习毛著照片等。

不但新闻摄影需要摆拍，一些新闻纪录片也要摆拍。1945年苏军抓捕末代皇帝溥仪的纪录片，就是事后让溥仪等人回到机场重新补拍的。

现在照像有了数码技术，用不着担心浪费胶片，因此很难理解当时照像所必须的摆拍。在过去视胶片为金的年代里，一旦没有拍好很可能意味着胶片就没了，就不能拍了。在老梁根本不了解那个年代里，不但胶片数量少的惊人，甚至粮食、猪肉、绵布、鸡蛋等一切生活用品也都要每月凭票定量供应。

在翻阅历史老照片过程中，许多家庭都会发现一个现象，即上世纪60年代初、也就是雷锋生活的那个年代照片很少。

凡在那个年代生活过的人会想到，那时正值三年自然灾害，人们连吃饭都成问题，哪有钱去照像、去买胶卷、去进行这项奢侈活动?
