Our world today is faced with many major threats. The most dangerous threat of all is war. Each war starts for a particular reason, but there are a number of steps countries can take to prevent its outbreak.

有一天，我闲得无聊，用刀在桌子的角落刮了几个。妈妈发现了，立即命令我和两个妹妹过来，严厉的妈妈啊，大声道：“谁打破了办公桌的桌面上。“我感到非常难过，我想：如果我告诉她，因为她习惯了，肯定会打我，但她说，犯了一个错误，它不不要紧，只要老实交代是好女孩。于是我鼓起勇气站起来说：“是我。”没想到，她不但没有批评我，反而表扬了我的诚实。

天气阴沉沉的，闷热的空气快要让人窒息，繁重的作业压得我透不过气来。我甩下笔，冲出门口，坐在台阶上，低着头，一言不发。

司马迁选择了史记，不论前进的道路有多么坎坷，他从不放弃，从不失去对生活的热爱，对理想的追求;贝多芬在双耳失聪的情况下，仍然坚持创作，创作出了不朽的名作——《命运交响曲》，这是因为他既然选择了音乐，选择了创作，就不会因挫折而轻易放弃，不论结果如何，成功与否，努力了就绝不后悔;爱迪生选择了发明，即使历经再多的失败，也阻挠不了他的决心和勇气，这是因为他对科学的热爱，对生活的追求……

我的心情放松了许多，我明白了既然已经选择了，无论成功与否，都要坚持到底，即使遇到再大的挫折和考验，也决不放弃。这时一丝阳光冲破了阴云，照在我的脸上，似乎像是在告诉我，只要肯努力，一定会突破阴云的束缚，拥有属于自己的天空!

我跑回屋内，拿起笔，继续为理想而奋斗……

性格决定成功 Disposition Decides to Man’s Success

As we all known, the man who wants to be success should have a good disposition. As the saying goes, “disposition decide to everything.” I remember a famous motto: there are no two identical people in the world, but the success people are similar in many ways. Exactly, good disposition is the foundation of success. From my point of view, I deemed it success should also rely on these factors: diligent, confident, humor. It can help us to open the door of success.

我们都知道想要成功的人都应该有一个好的性格。俗话说，“性格决定一切。”我记得一句著名的格言：在世界上没有两个相同的人，但成功人士在许多方面是相似的。确切地说，良好的性格是成功的基础。从我的角度来看，我认为成功依赖于这些因素：勤奋，自信，幽默。它可以帮助我们打开成功之门。

There is no denying that diligent is the first step to the success. As the proverb says, no pains, no gains. Absolutely, guess that a person without diligent, how can he get achievements. Many successful people have become famous in the world by their diligent. Therefore we should take diligence as a good habit rather than lazy at every time.

Edison said “confident is the mother of the success. There is no doubt that confidence is important to our daily life .If someone without confident, he will never succeed in the end of his life. If someone trusted himself, he would gained more chance to succeed. How could you get other’s trust if you didnt trust yourself?

In addition, humor plays an important role in our life. It’s obvious that a sense of humor can bring happiness to others and get involved to a group easily. Just like my friend who is an energetic and lovely boy. The boss and staff like him very much. Boss thinks highly of him in the company. Sometimes, we should learn to how express humorously. A sense of humor can create unexpected result.

再者，幽默在我们的生活中也扮演着很重要的角色。显然，一个有幽默感的人能给别人带来开心并很容易融进去。就像我一个朋友，他是一个很热情很可爱的男孩。老板和员工都很喜欢他。在公司老板很器重他。有时，我们应该学会如何表达幽默。幽默感能够创造出意想不到的成果。

又是一年一度的端午节了，在这个传统的节日，我们民间有抓鸭，吃粽子，赛龙舟的活动。而我体验了一次抓鸭子。

五月初五那天早上，我草草吃了几个粽子，就随爸爸到姑姑那儿去。下了车，爸爸并没有直接带我去，而是先要我做准备工作。爸爸从一个袋子拿出了一个网，一个鱼钩，还有鸭子爱吃的小东西。我纳闷了，又不是去抓鱼、网鱼，哪用得这么复杂啊?爸爸解释道：这里的鸭子们狡猾得很，如果用传统的方式是不太可能抓得着的，所以要有所准备啊!我似懂非懂地点了点头。

8点时分，我们来到了河边，大家都挽起裤管，卷起袖子，跳入水中。村民则将一只只小鸭子抛向空中，鸭子“嘎嘎”地扑腾到水面。大人们急忙四处寻觅，我也是睁大眼睛找着。这时，我发现有只小鸭子在河床边休息。我悄悄地走过去，伸手去抓。可那家伙狡黠异常，用嘴巴把我啄了个乌青，一下子飞快地游去。爸爸眼疾手快地抓住了小鸭的屁股。啊哈，真是胜券在握啊。但鸭子却故伎重演，吧老爸啄得手都肿起来了，害得他在一旁直吹气儿。接下来的几个大人都被鸭嘴儿“亲”了一下。一上午下来，我们累得大汗淋漓，却分毫无收。作为一个小孩子，我更是束手无策，只好在一旁干瞪眼。

但我们并没有就此放弃，而是使出了最后的“武器”。我拿出一个钩，一张网，还有一两只小虫子。我将虫子绑在鱼钩上，又扔进了网里，接着叫了几声“嘎嘎”，鸭子果然被吸引来了。我们躲在一旁的一块大石头旁，隐蔽好，按兵不动。其中一只“贪吃的”鸭子见到了美味，就左右望望，见同伴们都不在了，就津津有味地吃了起来。我们把网一收，一只小鸭子就到手。它还想要作无谓的挣扎，但已经来不及了，钩深深地嵌在了喉咙里面。接下来我们用这个办法捉住了好几只鸭子，真是手到擒来啊。最后，我们满载而归回家了。

这真是一次别开生面的捉鸭子活动啊!希望下次的端午节快点儿来到!

在历史上有，有许许多多的选择可以引起我们的深思。在美国南北战争快要结束时，南方叛军日薄西山，有些顽固分子狗急跳墙，准备和北方军队进行游击战，南方叛军指挥官叫罗伯特李，他做了几天的思想斗争，如果进入丛林和北方军队进行游击战，就会对这个国家发展进行了极大的阻挠。

他们这些人也想生，但是选择了义，没有这样一群铁血儿女，新中国恐怕就没有了。但中国也不乏一些败类，比如汪精卫，说他败类可能有些偏激，在辛亥革命时曾是一个反帝反封建的斗士，可到后来，经不住日本人的诱惑，成为一个大汉奸，这就是另一种选择，最后被后人所抛弃，现在还跪在中山陵给孙中山谢罪。

在现实生活里，虽没有了以往的战火硝烟，但我们还是无时无刻的面对选择，现在我们重要的是要做正确的选择，在金钱和道德面前，在自己的生命和另外人的生命面前，在学习和玩面前，我相信有许多人会说但不一定会做。我们只有(把个人利益放在外面，)权衡利弊，将个人利益放在他人利益之后，才能做出正确的选择。

The summer holidayis end and the new term begins. In the new term, I am a student of grade six. Itsthe last year in primary school. In order to have a good ending, I must workharder. So my scores can be better. Besides, I want to spend more time with myclassmates and friends. We have been very good these years. Maybe we cant beclassmates in the future. Many people, especially young college students, like pop songs. They hum small tunes all the way to their schools and seem to be never tired of this. Some of them are even mad about pop songs, rocknroll in particular. They shout and shout until their voices become hoarse.

Folk songs are also quite simple in tune but no one could dismiss them as trash songs. There is no denying that some pop songs are equally excellent. Why? Because they are widely sung and widely remembered. For example, "Yesterday" is of high artistic value. No one can deny its beautifulness in tune. Of com-se, there are bad songs that will not last long, but pop song fans will give these songs their due by choosing to sing them or not.

小时侯的我，胆子特别小，往往一个人并不敢独自呆在家中，我害怕，害怕独自面对晚上的黑暗，家中的孤寂，空荡荡的一切。

直至那一天——

的确，世界上并不存在着什么恐怖的妖魔，其实，内心真正害怕的，是自己！

倘若你的前面是一滩水坑，请学会在上面铺一块木板，走过去；倘若你的前面是一片荆棘，请学会利用工具将它们砍掉，昂首通过；倘若你的前面是一片大海，请学会扬帆渡过！

勇敢的人不会畏惧，不会面对一点点小小的困难而回头，与胜利背道而驰。

那一天晚上，我选择了勇敢，选择了坦然面对。
