An Unforgettable Day

August 5 was a special day. It was my eighteenth birthday, on the way to become an adult. I didn’t go out with my relatives as usual, I went to Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Building to experience how an editor of Zhejiang Online Website worked. In the morning, we visited many offices, chatted with Wang Zhidong, the former CEO of Sina, and we tried to edit a report and send it to the Internet. We also had a debate about whether kids’being on-line was good. I stood on the positive side. That was, we should get on-line, to learn, to relax, to shop, to play, to make friends, and to name just a few. We took some pictures to accept as a souvenir. We had lunch there and watched movies afterwards. Spiderman II was truly realistic. We were fascinated by the cool actions, scared by the ugly beast,and encouraged by the brave hero. Then we saw part of Detective Conan, a Japanese cartoon film. In the afternoon, we took a bus to a building where the governors worked to interview a grandpa, who used to work for the young generation.

He is kind, and healthy, though he is over eighty. He loves working, especially working for the youth. He feels more energetic as he talks with kids. At last, he asked us to sing a song for him. We sent a boy on behalf of us all to sing a happy song. He didn’t disappoint us, making everyone present laugh for a while. When the interview ended, we headed back to the newspaper office.The leader handed each of us a diploma and the photos we took that morning. Good time passed quickly. We said good-bye to each other, and then we parted. Yeah, we’ve become friends though we haven’t known each other very long.

In a word, that was a meaningful enjoyable day. I really had great fun.

In modern society, the problem of heavy traffic has aroused a wide concern.

Concerning with this problem, different people hold different opinions. As far

as I am concerned, to solve this problem, we need to begin with the following

steps.

First, limiting the number of private cars is a significant step to solve

the problem of heavy traffic. Private car occupies a larger space and it is

responsible for traffic jam to a large extent. Less private cars will accelerate

the flow of traffic. Second, it is also a good means to open up the special

roads for buses. By doing this, the phenomenon that the buses block the street

when passengers get on or get off the buses will not occur again. At the same

time, it will upgrade the efficiency of buses. Finally, reinforcing punish

toward the over-speed cars and drunk driving so as to reduce the rate of traffic

accident, and then decrease traffic jam.

I will take a flight to Cairns, a city which is rounded by palm trees. It’s a tourist city, where there are magnificent mountains, dense rain forests. The forests are the world’s oldest, largest tropical rain forest. I can novel amphibious vehicles traveling around the forests, experience exotic enjoyment. What’s more, I can watch the indigenous people’s wonderful dance performance.

The fifth day:

Take a bus to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Terminal and take a ship to the world-famous Reef. Located off the coast of the north-eastern Australia, it is the world’s largest coral island, which stretches over 2000km, including thousands of coral reefs and shoals, known as “the eighth wonder of the world”. The sixth day:

I would fly to the capital of Queensland----Brisbane. Then I’ll take a visit to the South Bank Parkland where the 1988 world exposition had been held. Go to the City Hall located in the King George

The seventh day (the last day):

roller coaster and see a different film production process, great

effects and super performance and a lot of cartoon characters. Then I will go to a farm to pay a visit. There I can experience a real farm life and get close to the koala, kangaroo and take photos with the cute creatures. (I need to pay for the lunch.) At last, I will take the QF505 to Sydney and the QF105 back to Hangzhou.

It is my plan to have a journey abroad. It will cost about 12000 RMB for the agency and I need another sum of money to support my self-consumption and other costs. Now I am excited about my upcoming travel to the very place that I have longed for for a long long time. And it seems that there is a separate zone, let us become selfish, forget the parents have to pay, forget that the sound of happiness, learn to appreciate others is their own conscience, a filial piety, because it will have Harmony, there is happiness, there is respect between each other.

With a grateful heart, to look at the community, look at their parents, look at friends and relatives, you will find yourself how happy, let go of your mind, so start falling rain to wash your mind pollution. Learn to be grateful because it will make the world a better place and make life more fulfilling.

“唉，下节课就是英语课了，怎么办呀？昨天教的英语歌我还不会唱呢！”我愁眉苦脸地坐在位子上。

“叮铃铃……”上课的铃声打响了，对其他人来说，这铃声也许很正常，可是对于我来说呢，简直就是世界末日。

“请同学们打开课本，翻到26页，把这些英语单词跟我念一遍。”同学们都很轻松地念着，我却在那里紧张地鹦鹉学舌。

“好了，现在我来检查昨天要求唱的英语歌，谁会唱，举起手！”大家都飞快地举起了手，我像被针扎了一样，无精打采地看着书本，心里暗暗说着：“千万别让我唱啊！”

真是怕什么有什么，老师偏偏叫上了我，我的心更沉重了，只好慢吞吞地站起来，吞吞吐吐地说：“老师，我……我不会唱。”让我惊讶的是老师不但没有批评我，而且夸奖了我：“敢于承认，就是好孩子，我让大家再给你唱一遍英语歌，你可要记住了啊！”我不禁流下了两滴热泪。

经过这次教训，我下定决心，一定要把英语成绩提高上去。

去年放了暑假后爸爸给我和姐姐定了去包头的飞机票，我第一次自己乘飞机怕赶不上我们6点出的门，中午十二点多的飞机延迟到了下午两点才开，到包头的时候是下午靠五点的时候。

我们在包头待了一个半月的样子，去了响沙湾也去吃了手抓羊肉还有羊奶火锅羊奶火锅很难吃，味道很奇怪奶香味实在是太重了，期间姐姐流了两次鼻血，她羊肉吃多了高原反应也比我严重一些。

那里的羊肉牛肉比其他地方便宜很多，蔬菜、水果反而比其他地方的更加贵了。那里的天气很少有很热的时候，到了晚上温度也降了很多。

回来之前我们去骑了马，马身上的味道不太好闻有一股骚味，也有很多苍蝇蚊子围着马转。我骑的那匹马很乖没有像姐姐骑的那匹一样过于活跃。

在包头游玩的日子很难忘，在炎热的夏季也就只有包头那些地方还保留着一丝凉意了。

五一节终于来临了，那一天我特别激动，早早就起床了，因为我们要去旅游了。吃完早饭，我们出发了。虽然我不知道我们要去的地方到底在哪里，但我真的是迫不及待，真想让自己像孙悟空一样一个筋斗云翻上天，带着爸爸妈妈飞往我们的目的地。

我们去了开封的大相国寺、洛阳的龙门石窟、西安的大雁塔等。一路走来，我真正感受到了古代劳动人民的伟大和智慧，真的为我们的祖先感到骄傲，同时也为自己的成长感到高兴。记得在登嵩山的时候，我的膝盖破了，非常疼，爸爸问我是不是继续向上登，为了不让自己留有遗憾，我咬咬牙，决定还是与爸爸妈妈一起登山。我们沿着一道道蜿蜒的台阶一会上一会下，我每走一步都非常困难，但是我一次又一次地战胜了疼痛。在爸爸、妈妈的鼓励下，我用了将近四个小时的时间爬完了全程，到达了山顶，看到了更加美丽的风景。正像妈妈说的“无限风光在险峰”，看到了这样的美景，我觉得自己的坚持没有白费。

这是一次最让我难忘的旅行，在与疼痛的较量中，我知道了人一定要学会坚强，这样才不会被困难打倒。
