Hello, my friends, My name is Cherie. I come from BeiHai, a city of GuangXi

province. Now I want to tell you something about me hometown. BeiHai is a

beautiful city near the sea. There are several places worth visiting.

The most famous place is the Silver Beach. You can take the no.2 bus and

take no.3bus to the Silver Beach. You can get off the bus at the Beach hotel

stop and set the luggage or have s rest at the hotel. Then go back the road

which the bus have come. The beach is not far from the hotel, you can’t miss it.

The seafood is very delicious, you can have some for supper after swimming. The

world under the sea is a fantasy place. When you go into it, you will feel that

you are really under the sea. There are so many kinds of fish swimming around

you.

The most exciting program is “dancing with the shark” .that is some girls

who dress as the fish dive into the water and play.

My hometown is in Lianyungang. There are lots of beautiful places here. Our winter in Lianyungang has changed, too!

Winter came, and the snowflakes, which looked like white flowers. Like a butterfly dancing in the air, everything is so fascinating.

The snow stopped, the children all came out to play, you see, some of them have some snowball fights, snowmen, snowball, as if they do not feel cold. Adults are out to enjoy the beauty of the snow.

今天，我家来了一位新成员，它是一只很可爱的乌龟，我给它起名叫“小石头″，这个名字很酷吧！

它有一个坚硬有力的外壳，就像石头一样，它的壳还可以当古代打仗的盾牌呢！哈哈……它的头很小，像蛇的脑袋；那小小的眼睛，好像一粒豆子，笑的时候眼睛眯成了一条细缝，很是可爱。它还总是那样翻来覆去的，有时候拼了命也翻不过来，等它的腿脚一蹬，四脚朝天。看到它那可爱的样子，我们笑得合不拢嘴。它的四肢很短，整个看起来好肥好肥，像个圆圆的球！呵呵……

过了几天，我看见小乌龟整天闷闷不乐，于是我给它又买了一个同伴叫作“吱吱”，这名字是不是很好听呢！有了“吱吱”的陪伴，小石头再也不孤单了。过了几天，我发现“吱吱”在窝里，“小石头”忽然不见了。我和爸爸妈妈非常着急，大约找了三四天也没有找到，我都心疼地哭了。最后，我到床底下捡袜子时，发现“小石头”睡在我的床底下。这下才知道小乌龟是从大约95厘米高的画桌上跌下来，再经过两个房间才爬到我床底下呢。要是换做人类，不就是从悬崖上摔了下来，再经过两天的长途跋涉吗？“小石头”从那么遥远的地方来看我在干嘛，肯定是在想我嘛！嘿嘿……

小石头不仅调皮，而且还很挑食，每当我给它吃东西的时候它就会扭头不吃，看着我碗里的饭，不让它吃，还生气呢！嘻嘻……

all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese

language as part of their elementary school education. It provides invaluable

support that will help making bilingual Chinese education a reality in Maywood

public schools.

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the

first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned

that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will

affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest.

Nevertheless, MCEA, with more than 70 members, will continue to actively promote

bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you

apprised of the progress we make.
