Study English,You do need to use English with speakers who are not teachers

of English. This isnt easy, since everyone feels constrained speaking English

with friends with whom it would be natural to use a shared mother tongue.

Joining an English Club is a good idea and joining a club with an international

membership (where English is in use at least some of the time) is, for many

people, even better. If nothing like this is accessible, you might consider what

would be involved in getting something going.

Dear Mom and Dad,

The time has come: I’m graduating, and I thank you both for all your help

during these 15 years. I still remember when you guys used to say, “You can be

whatever you want.” I’m so glad you are my parents, especially when I hear kids

say they don’t get along with theirs. I’m glad we do, and that you support me in

my decisions. You always try to help, and that’s important to me.

Dad, I remember when you first took me fishing. I loved going even though I

never caught anything. I also remember when you would get mad at me. I realize

you were only trying to show me the right way. When I would cry, you would

always be there to try to cheer me up. That’s what I call a good, loving, caring

dad. Sometimes you and Mom don’t agree with the decisions I make, but you are

about you is that you listen. Not only do you have great style, but you love to

have fun, and Dad does, too. You always give me your opinion and I listen. And

when I don’t, you are usually right!

I thank God every day that you are my parents and that you guys brought me

up right. I’m very fortunate having the two of you by me side when some kids

don’t have this kind of relationship with their parents. It makes me know how

lucky I am that you two are still together and get along so well. That’s what

makes you both so special to me and I take in every moment that I get with you

When winter comes, hot pot is the necessary food for our family. It is very

delicious, we can pick the food we like. Our family sit together, having

different tastes, which is such cool and convenient. Many foreigners fall in

love with hot pot when they come to China. Hot pot has been the symbol of

THE ONLY MAGICAL THING----Map There was only one thing in the world that

wanted to play, and that guy’s name was Jack. He wanted to be a pirate one day,

and found treasure in pirate islands… He had a conversation with his mother one

day for certain. It was about being a pirate one day for once in his

lifetime…

“Mom, I want to be a pirate one day, and find treasures in buried islands

and…” “Whoa! Hold there son, what do you mean by, you what to be a pirate?”

asked his mother, “Well it is that I just want to hunt for treasure instead of

just being a regular boy like usual…”

His mother laughed so very hard, “Then why don’t you ask the sorcerer of

the wicked castle?” his mother suddenly added, “What do you mean of: Wicked?”

“Well,” replied her mother, “It all happened in…” “Wait!” shouted Jack, “There

is no time for you to explain the whole thing, if you could show me this ‘Wicked

castle’ then I could be a pirate sooner or later.

And so his mother showed him a riddle clue, which had many words written on

it, “All you have to do is answer the riddles and you will arrive at your

destination;” so Jack took the map, and head out for the wicked castle

immediately, “Now let us see, two choices to make; which one is it that I need

to take?” then he suddenly felt a little twinkle among his eyes, he looked at

the map; “That’s it!” he opened the map and placed it upon him. “Now, I just

need to figure this one out.”

He read it out loud, “Choose the path that has round hard things the most…”

then he thought about it, he looked at each side; first, he checked the left;

“There is nothing very hard on this side, or even round!” the he checked the

other side, known as the right; “Look, there is a pile of rocks here, they are

very hard; and round, and there are plenty of them!”

He walked to the right, and then he went straight on. At last he came to a

big castle, it has many traps; and so Jack decided to use the map and find clues

so that he won’t get lost…

He first came to the front door, and then he opened the map, read the

riddle; “Watch out for the monster, with two pairs of wings; and come in the

spring, it is giant, I warn you…” then he answered, “The only flying thing that

has two pairs of wings is a dragon fly!” when he said “Dragonfly”

d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y; a giant dragonfly flew past his eyes!

“Whoa!” shouted Jack, he then read the riddle, “look around you; use the

one, as sharp as a knife;” Jack looked around himself, then he found a big sharp

needle; it was huge! He used all his might and picked it up, and then he sprang

it to the monster. The monster fell down immediately, as if dead.

Then Jack had beaten the giant ‘Dragonfly’d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y, he was ready

to see the sorcerer. He was casting a spell when Jack came in, he interrupted

him; and so the sorcerer shouted, “What are you doing stranger?” he asked, “Can

you make me a pirate?” “What! Nobody has ever done that spell before;

never!”

And so Jack had to keep on being a normal boy, he was satisfied sometimes,

but also was glad that he didn’t turn into a pirate. “The map is ‘the only

magical thing’ in this world…

That was the first time that I celebated Christmas Day. My friend aksed me

to take part in Christmas party. At the party we danced and celebrated with

carols. I knew some new friends. We exchanged gifts and said best wishes to each

other. I had a pleasant time.

I like to listen to music very much, especially the English songs. My

favorite band is Coldplay. When I hear their classic song Yellow, I will be very

excited. The reason I like this band is that they have something different from

others. In their songs, they search about life. Listening to English songs also

can help me improve my English level.

I have a good friend, and her name is Li Hua. We have become friends for

about two years. She is very kind. When I step into the classroom for the first

time, she helps me to get familiar with the strange environment. The most

important thing is that we share the same interest, so we have a lot in common.

I cherish our friendship so much.

my father is a nice man. he likes to play computer games. he is

an owner of a factory which produces many things .he is good at designing. he

works very hard. i love him very much because, sometimes, i can help him to do

something in his factory .he is always on business trips because he has his

business everywhere so it takes up too much of his time .therefore, he doesn’t

have any time to play with me but i don’t blame him for that. i often spend a

lot of my time on the computer, so i have something to do. my mother is usually

on the phone and tells my father to get home early but my father doesn’t listen

to her. so my mother and i sometimes are upset and i don’t like my father in a

sense that he always gets home late.i love my father but not his

job!

I’m very glad to know that you are a table tennis fan. So am I. Table

tennis is the national ball of China. Almost everyone in China, whether old or

young, can play it. The tables for playing it can be seen here and there, in

parks, squares and in many working places, even at some people’s homes. The

Chinese table tennis players have very excellent skills. Since 1959 when a man

named Rong Guotuan won the first world champion at the 25th World Table

Tennis

Championship, China has had many table tennis world champions, and the

Chinese people are very proud of them. Hope one day you will come to China, and

A long time ago, there were ten sun in the sky. The weather was very very

hot.Plants could not grow. Animal could not live long. There was a man. His name

was Houyi. He short nine suns out of the sky. In the end, only one sun remained.

The weather got cooler. Plants could grow. People were happy.

Every parent will worry about their children, so they teach the children

many things, just in case they will meet the bad guy. My mother always tells me

not to talk to the strangers or accept the food from them, or I may never see

them again. I keep her words in mind, so I can avoid the potential dangers.
