Stepping into the new century, environment pollution has become more

serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as, water

pollution, air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on

a planet which is full of pollution. Where all these pollution comes from? To a

large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for

the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have

more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for

energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas

stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many

times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’s still not working.

Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance.

However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted

water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the

environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the

environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more

about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance

between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in

the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the

waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public

transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands

together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way, our earth

White pollution persists

WEVE been hearing and talking about it for a fairly long time： curbing what has become known as “white" pollution. But still we are using the white polystyrene （PS） foam food containers and other disposable plastic products， which largely make up this form of littering.

Miandianwang， a well-known local fast-food chain， is still handing out takeout food in these PS foam containers， even though they should been phased out before December 31， 2000， under a Central Government decree. One of the waiters said in its outlet on Hongli Road on Monday that they are going to switch to environmentally friendly containers “some time in the future".

However， the Miandianwang outlet in Sams Club， which is affiliated with Wal-Mart， is offering take-out food in light brown containers which are biodegradable. Liang， a clerk with Sams Club， told Shenzhen Daily yesterday that the club required the Miandianwang outlet to do so in its contract.

According to Liang， all the departments in the club switched to biodegradable containers during the Spring Festival holiday.

Zhao Hua， with the energy division of the Shenzhen Municipal Economic Development Bureau， one of the five municipal government departments involved in the curbing of white pollution in the city， said on Monday that large companies and retailers like Wal-Mart and Vanguard have responded to the decree by switching to biodegradable containers. But she admitted that is just the tip of the iceberg in the seemingly endless war on white pollution in the city.

Zhaos bureau has met with four other relevant departments on several occasions. What they produced is not a feasible solution but an echo or rewording of the Central Government decree， according to Luo Wei from Shenzhen Municipal Legal Affairs Bureau， who is responsible for reviewing this “echo". The ”echo" has now been passed on to the municipal government which is expected to announce it formally in the near future. But Luo said shes not sure if this rewording can play a significant role in eliminating white pollution in the city. “We dont lack laws， regulations or decrees. The real concern is the effective enforcement of these laws or regulations，" said Luo.

Zhao Hua admitted that cities like Shanghai and other coastal cities which are sensitive about their image as tourist destinations are doing a better job in this regard. “Shanghai is said to have produced a very detailed handbook on how to carry out the curbing work and Hainan has even banned disposable foam slippers in hotels，" Zhao said.

地球是我们的家园,我们有责任为我们自己和我们的后代去照顾好它.庆幸的是,愈来愈多的人们已经意识到这些问题.政府已经采取了很多措施去解决这些问题,法律已被通过以制止污染.我希望这些问题在不远的将来能得到解决,我们的家园变得越来越好.

13.Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.With the development of industry and agriculture,cars make GREat noises and give off poisonous gas.Trees on the hills have been cut down,and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore,wherever we go today,we can find rubbish carelessly disposed.The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing.Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence.

全世界的环境问题在变得越来越严重.随着工农业的发展,汽车制造噪音、排放毒气,山上的树木被砍伐,污水不断被排入河里.另外,无论我们走到哪里,到处可见随意丢弃的垃圾.整个地球生态平衡正在改变,环境的巨大破坏已带来负面影响,甚至对人类生存带来巨大威胁.

14.We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems.For instance,new laws must be passed to place strict control over industrial pollution,the pub!ic must receive the education about the hazard of pollution and so on.We hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment.

随着生活压力的变大，人类的生活变得更加离不开电和汽车。但是，有的人已经发现，过度的开发能源，会危害到我们的地球，所以人们提出了低碳环保，绿色出行。

在这一择消息发布之后，不少人跃跃欲试，加入到了低碳环保的队伍之中。

于是乎，他们行动了起来。看到电器未关，伸手就把它关了。大街上的汽车少了，自行车，电瓶车多了起来，除了一些开远路的，其它都是自行、电瓶车。

而且还有人为了赚钱，同时也为了减少汽车尾气的排放量，制造出了共享单车。共享单车是一种为了便民、环保、提高生活质量而造出的电子付费的自行车。有了共享单车，那些没有电瓶，有汽车，而又不想开的人就可以用手机一刷，骑走自行车，快捷又方便。

近一段时间里，人们懂得了垃圾要分类，可回收的分一类，不可回收的分一类，会感染的也分一类……

垃圾分类有个好处，就是好处理，因为如果不分类的话就会不容易处理，不容易处理的东西一般不是用火烧，就是扔入大海。

如果用火烧就会把废物烧得浓烟滚滚，黑烟升入天空，积少成多，就会造成室温效应。室温效应会使全球气温升高，冬天没有雪，冰川解冻，融化，最后，全世界热的要死，人类因此灭绝。

如果把废物扔入大海的话，大海会被污染，海洋里的动植物也被污染。积少成多，最后全世界的海洋都被污染了，世界上再无一滴干净的水，人类也因此灭绝。

所以说，我们一定要保护地球，爱护地球，让低碳环保不再是嘴上说说，而是实际的行动起来!

Trees are important resources. They provide us with wood, which is not only an important building material, but also indispensable in making paper, furniture, matches and many other useful things. Without tress, we would perhaps still be living in caves, and our life would be very miserable.

Trees also do good to our environment. They not only make our world greener and more beautiful but also produce oxygen which makes the air we breathe fresher and better for our health. What’s more, trees help maintain ecological balance, which is very important to our survival.

Fortunately, trees, unlike other resources, can be “reproduced”. While coal and oil can be burnt up and exhausted, trees will never be used up because we can always plant new ones. And when we plant trees, we know that we are helping make our world richer, pleasanter, and more beautiful to live in. So let’s plant more trees.

The Low-Carbon Economic

Nowadays,with more and more serious problem such as the global increasing temperture,the melting ice and the rising sea-levering,people are recognizing the important of developing the low-carbon economic now.

There are many ways we can do to reach the loe-carbon economic.Fristly,discovering others fuels which is more clean and more green to instead of the using of carbon.Secondly, we should have the save-energy conscious and do something which we can make,for instance,using the bus ranther than car when you go out,re-use the thing that can be recycle used,reducing the use of plastic bags.Last but not least,we should plant more trees or other greenplants,in which way we can not only improve the environment,but also can make our home more beauty.

In my opnion, the most important thing to reach the low-carbon economic is everyone must try their best do what they can do for it.Once everyone have the sence of low-carbon economic and have the action by themselves ,it will be earlier to reach it.
