当我还是小孩子时，我在图画书和故事书感兴趣。我很惊讶他们。我刚进入了中学，我开始读小说，戏剧，散文等。我发现我可以从他们身上得到很多。渐渐的我开始对文学感兴趣的最后一学期我在浙江省中学生作文竞赛中获得一等奖。

reading the emperors new clothes, i had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool. the little match girl couldnt keep me from crying for her misery. robinson crusoe took me into a strange world full of danger. and i was also deeply impressed by helen kellers patience and perseverance… besides these, books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. in a word, good books can make me know what i didnt before. so i think of a good book as my best friend.

阅读皇帝的新衣服，我不得不把一阵笑声在他的傻瓜。卖火柴的小女孩不能让我哭她的痛苦。鲁滨孙把我带进了一个充满危险的陌生世界。我也深深打动了海伦凯勒的耐心和毅力……除此之外，本书还告诉我其它的东西——如何成为一个男人，如何分辨对与错。总之，好的书籍可以让我知道什么我不在。所以我认为一个好的书是我最好的朋友。

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reservoirs out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise, man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings

历史上的人改变了他的物理环境,以改善自己的生活方式。借助技术工具改变了地球的许多自然特征。他将林地和草原改造成为农田,使江河变成湖泊和水库,用于灌溉或用于水力发电。男人也修改了地球表面由高山沼泽和切断山区修建公路和铁路。

然而,人的物理环境的变化并不总是有有益的结果。今天,空气和水的污染是越来越危害地球的健康。每天成千上万吨的机动车辆的排气管排出的气体排放出来。工厂释放的烟雾污染了空气工业化地区和周边地区的农村。水的污染也同样有害。海洋的整个生态平衡正在改变,工业废物已经使许多河流毫无生气。

现在,环境保护比以往任何时候都更为紧迫。正如我们所知,环境的巨大破坏已带来负面影响,甚至对人类造成巨大威胁的存在。对这些问题漠不关心将意味着自杀。因此,应采取有效措施并通过法律来保护环境。不然的话,人类势必遭受缺乏所造成的严重后果关心生存环境

二十一世纪，人们的生活水平提高了许多，但环境问题也增加了不少。

现在有私家车的人那么多，如果个个上班下班都开车，会有多大的废气排放啊!如果每人每天都乘公共汽车，就会减少很多的废气排放，会使城市的空气更加清新!

如果我们想要保护环境，尽管大事我们做不了，但小事是可以做的。比如说：

不要随地扔垃圾;不要随地吐痰······别看这些事情微不足道，但如果每个人都去做的话，将会减少更多的垃圾污染。

说到环保，现在人们都是用电，但是这些电基本上都来自于火力发电。这种技术，会产生许多的废气。未来代替它的是一种新型的发电装置，利用太阳能来发电。

人们应该多利用自然资源，如：水力、太阳能、风力。如果那一天有科学家发明了能从雷电上获取电能，那真是很了不起呢。

如今，世界的环境越来越恶劣，许多人为了做生意，砍伐大面积的树木，导致土地沙漠化，如果再那么下去，原来美丽的地球是不是就变成“秃头”了!

好在是人们已经认识到了错误，已经开始改正，许多人自愿去种植树木;也有人在重复使用袋子，不造成白色污染。

现在有一个世界无车日，在每年的9月22日，那天，人们只能骑自行车或步行去上班，最好不要开车，在一些路段甚至会禁止行车，其目的是为了减少尾气排放。

世界无烟日是每年的5月31日。抽烟对人体不好，香烟里有一种叫尼古丁的毒素，会使人上瘾，而且自己抽烟还会让别人吸二手烟，害人害己。香烟的烟对空气不好，植物很难吸收它。

总而言之，人们如果再继续污染环境，那么地球将会千疮百孔了。
