5月28日，星期六的早上，是个阳光明媚的好天气，由杭州市文明办，杭州市体育局。中国平安人寿浙江分

公司共同举办的“健康生活。平安相伴”大型公益健跑活动在美丽的钱江新城——江干区体育馆隆重举行。

精彩的开幕仪式开始了：首先，主持人一一介绍了参加本次活动的到场嘉宾：杭州市市政府副秘书长张连水，杭州市市体育局局长赵荣福及中国平安人寿浙江分公司总经理崔龚英等领导人及众多的低碳环保人士都参加了本次活动。

据介绍此次活动有将近3000人左右参加。之后，杭州市政府副秘书长张连水、杭州市体育局局长赵荣福、杭州市文明办副主任史玉芳和中国平安人寿浙江分公司总经理崔龚英等领导做了精彩的讲话，并喊出了此次活动的口号：低碳生活，健康生活，用实际行动，让杭州更加美丽，为杭州美丽动起来。

在此次活动中，我们小记者采访了杭州市市体育局局长赵荣福，“请问杭州市在倡导文明出行低碳环保方面有哪些举措呢?请问你有哪些自已的低碳生活方式和健康宣言呢?”等等问题。

赵局长做了精彩的回答：小学生要从小树立意识，从自已的一点一滴，节约资源，劝导大家多走路，少开车，快乐过好每一天，我为人人，人人为我，以自已的实际行动来鼓励别人低碳出行，绿色出行。

我们小记者们还采访了平安保险的售后服务的经理及活动的参与者：“低碳生活，绿色出行从自已做起。”这是我们的宣言。

White pollution persists

WEVE been hearing and talking about it for a fairly long time： curbing what has become known as “white" pollution. But still we are using the white polystyrene （PS） foam food containers and other disposable plastic products， which largely make up this form of littering.

Miandianwang， a well-known local fast-food chain， is still handing out takeout food in these PS foam containers， even though they should been phased out before December 31， 2000， under a Central Government decree. One of the waiters said in its outlet on Hongli Road on Monday that they are going to switch to environmentally friendly containers “some time in the future".

However， the Miandianwang outlet in Sams Club， which is affiliated with Wal-Mart， is offering take-out food in light brown containers which are biodegradable. Liang， a clerk with Sams Club， told Shenzhen Daily yesterday that the club required the Miandianwang outlet to do so in its contract.

According to Liang， all the departments in the club switched to biodegradable containers during the Spring Festival holiday.

Zhao Hua， with the energy division of the Shenzhen Municipal Economic Development Bureau， one of the five municipal government departments involved in the curbing of white pollution in the city， said on Monday that large companies and retailers like Wal-Mart and Vanguard have responded to the decree by switching to biodegradable containers. But she admitted that is just the tip of the iceberg in the seemingly endless war on white pollution in the city.

Zhaos bureau has met with four other relevant departments on several occasions. What they produced is not a feasible solution but an echo or rewording of the Central Government decree， according to Luo Wei from Shenzhen Municipal Legal Affairs Bureau， who is responsible for reviewing this “echo". The ”echo" has now been passed on to the municipal government which is expected to announce it formally in the near future. But Luo said shes not sure if this rewording can play a significant role in eliminating white pollution in the city. “We dont lack laws， regulations or decrees. The real concern is the effective enforcement of these laws or regulations，" said Luo.

Zhao Hua admitted that cities like Shanghai and other coastal cities which are sensitive about their image as tourist destinations are doing a better job in this regard. “Shanghai is said to have produced a very detailed handbook on how to carry out the curbing work and Hainan has even banned disposable foam slippers in hotels，" Zhao said.

as much rich land becomes desert;Rivers become dirty ;

The air is becoming worse

and worse ;The temperature is becoming hotter and hotter.So we must do something

to change the situation.Wed better walk or ride bikes to work or go to school

instead of driving a car,We mustnt use plastic bags.Our government must take

some measures to prevent factories producing smoking etc.

With the development of our society, energy in the world becomes more and more limited, so it is quite important for us to save energy and to protect our environment. As a student, there are a lot of methods we can do to save energy at home. For example, first, we can turn off the light as well as other appliances when we are not using them. Second, recycle the waste water, paper and other waste so that we can reuse them. Whats more, it is suggested to use public transportation more instead of private cars.

Above all, everyone can make a great contribution to our environment. I hope I can learn more to develop new and clear energy, like energy from the wind and solar.

I thought to myself, such an environment, the river fish, shrimp and other animal can survive? The water quality, and if we drink will be sick, and even death. Like this for the environmental pollution caused by industrial production are not uncommon, should arouse the attention of the authorities.

But maybe someone said: "I have no sewage exhaust fumes, the place where I live is very good also, protect the environment has nothing to do with me." In fact, we in the life, often damage the environment, we use every day a lot of plastic bags, paper towels, items such as batteries, waste a lot of water and electricity resources, that virtually all the damage the environment. We constantly, these factors led to the ozone layer of the temperature rising around the world, if one day, the polar ice to melt, the sea will rise over the world, some coastal cities will be submerged. Guangdong province and local nature also has the potential to be submerged. A year of drought and floods, desertification, landslip, etc and we dont have a good protection of the environment, so we should set up a kind of environmental protection consciousness.

So how do we protect the environment? I have the following suggestion: the first point to the value of energy, no waste water and electricity resources; The second point to take good care of green, not the decapitation of flowers and plants, not trample on the grass, not disorderly cut down trees; The third point, dont make too much waste, such as plastic bags should use less as far as possible; Fourth, to know the waste utilization, its no use newspapers, magazines, such as bottles should be sent to the recycling collection; Fifth should pay attention to environmental health, can not spitting, cannot throw garbage everywhere, peel sundry goods should be put in the bin. Above these are all we can do and should do.

提起环保，似乎离我们很远，但它却时刻在我们身边。环境污染这个问题确实不容忽视。在我们日常的生活当中时常可以看到破坏环境的现象。

记得有一次，我乘公共汽车的时候，无意中看到一间小工厂源源不断地向附近的小河排出一些红色的污水，顿时间，河水被染成红色。我心想：这样的环境，河里的小鱼、小虾等动物还能生存吗?这样的水质，如果我们喝了也会生病，甚至会死亡。像这样的因工业生产所导致的环境污染并非少见，应引起有关部门的重视。

但也许有人说：“我没有排出污水废气，我居住的地方也很好，保护环境根本与我无关。”其实我们在生活中，就常有破坏环境，我们每天都用大量的塑料袋，纸巾、电池等的物品，浪费大量的水电资源，这无形中都在破坏环境。我们的这些恶习致使臭氧层不断地受破坏，全世界的气温不断升高，假如有一天，两极冰川融化，全世界的海面将会升高，有一部分的沿海城市可能会被淹没。广东省也是沿海地方自然也有被淹没的可能。每年的水旱灾旱，土地沙漠化，山泥倾泻等与我们没有好好保护环境都有关，因此我们应该树立起一种保护环境的意识。

那么我们应该怎样保护环境呢?我有以下几点小建议：第一点要爱惜能源，不浪费水电资源;第二点要爱护绿化，不乱摘花草，不践踏草地，不乱砍树木;第三点不要制造太多废物，像塑料袋等应尽可能少用;第四点要懂得废物利用，没用的报纸、杂志、瓶子等应送到收购站进行废物回收;第五点要注意环境卫生，不可以随地吐痰，不能随地扔垃圾，果皮杂物应放进垃圾箱。以上的这些都是我们能够做到，并且应该做到的方法。
