As the drawing presents, there is a man walking across the street absorbedly focusing on his cell phone without noticing the surroundings. This sort of phenomenon is not uncommon and rare in some metropolis, especially among the youngsters.

What the picture illustrates is the prevailing situation that has long existed in todays China. That is the mobile phone obsession. With the advent of information age, people are becoming

increasingly fascinated on the electronic products, especially the cell phones. Not surprisingly, you could easily notice that most of us are obsessed in sending messages, playing online games with their mobile phones. It cannot be denied that this phenomenon may negatively impact the relationship among people, and therefore they will become estranged and isolated.

Personally, in view of the overuse of mobile phones, I hold that we individuals should raise the necessary awareness that good relationships are reinforced by sincere and face-to-face

今年暑假，我们去了北京天安门，天安门城楼真是游人如织，连进门都要排队。

connect the interior of Beijings old city. They are usually straight and run

Once ubiquitous in Beijing, siheyuans and hutongs are now rapidly

disappearing, as entire city blocks of hutongs are leveled and replaced with

high-rise buildings. Residents of the hutongs are entitled to apartments in the

new buildings of at least the same size as their former residences. Many

complain, however, that the traditional sense of community and street life of

the hutongs cannot be replaced. Some particularly historic or picturesque

hutongs are being preserved and restored by the government, especially for the

2008 Olympics. One such example can be seen at Nanchizi.

Mandarin cuisine is the local style of cooking in Beijing. Peking Roast

Duck is perhaps the most well-known dish. The Manhan Quanxi ("Manchu-Han Chinese

full banquet") is a traditional banquet originally intended for the

ethnic-Manchu emperors of the Qing Dynasty; it remains very prestigious and

expensive.

Teahouses are also common in Beijing. Chinese tea comes in many varieties

and some rather expensive types of Chinese tea are said to cure an ailing body

extraordinarily well.

The Jingtailan is a cloisonné metalworking technique and tradition

originating from Beijing, and one of the most revered traditional crafts in

China. Beijing lacquerware is well known for the patterns and images carved into

its surface.

The Fuling Jiabing is a traditional Beijing snack food, a pancake (bing)

resembling a flat disk with filling, made from fu ling (Poria cocos (Schw.)

Wolf, or "tuckahoe"), an ingredient common in traditional Chinese medicine.

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival for all Chinese people. On

that evening there is a very traditional ceremony----Spring Festival Gala, which

is the favorite for many people. It brings so much happiness to Chinese all

reason differently. Some people deem that it should be cancelled, while there

Several days ago, my family went to Mountain Halla in South Korea. We took flying there. There are a lot of trees around the mountain, and clouds around half of the mountain. When we walked into the mountain, we could hear nothing except for birds. We could see strange stones and water from the spring. The day was sunny, we could climb the moutain quickly. We got the top of the mountain within two hours. Nobody felt tired but very happy. There was beautiful. In the afternoon, when we dicided to go back, we found it was difficult, we must be careful. The Impact of the Internet on the Way People Communicate

Due to the wide use of computers and the development of Internet, more and more people like to chat on the Internet. We tend to pay more attention to electronic communication than to face-to-face contact.

As electronic communication is not limited by space, we can chat with others where there is Internet with our tools such as computers, mobile phones and pads. However, when we chat with others online, we cannot express our feelings fully. Just as the picture shows, the parents cannot touch or hug their child. We know that body language plays an important role in our

communication, but the electronic communication cannot do this. For example, when we are sad, we need more love and warmth, a real hug from our parents or friends can mean much more to us than just words through electronic communication.

Therefore, though electronic communication brings convenience to our life, I still don?t think the electronic communication can replace face-to-face contact.

People are very friendly here. I was greeted by amiable people who were nice enough to tell me about the history of China and by modest students who later practiced speaking English with me. China has left me a wonderful impression and I look forward to come back here for the Olympics.

“五一”节，我和爸爸妈妈游览扬州。一到了扬州我就被江南秀色迷住了。一进了瘦西湖大门，呵!风景太美了，远处的山是青青的，近处的水是绿绿的，湖的两岸杨柳弯弯，柳絮飘飘，小燕子在柳絮中穿来穿去，像捉迷藏一样，可把我看傻了。

The five one day, I and father and mother to visit Yangzhou. In Yangzhou I was spellbound by Jiangnan Xiuse. In the Slender West Lake gate! The scenery is so beautiful, distant mountains are green, near the water is green, willow catkins on both sides of the lake, the little swallow in the willow catkin fluttering, wear to wear, like hide and seek, can make me look silly.

当我走过五亭桥，来到了二十四桥景区，站在其中一座桥上，不由想起一首唐诗：“青山隐隐水迢迢，秋尽江南草未凋。二十四桥明月夜，玉人何处教吹箫。”

Beijing ,a metropolis in northern China, is the capital of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). It is also known in English as Peking Beijing is also one of the four municipalities of the PRC, which are equivalent to provinces in Chinas administrative structure and is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. Beijing Municipality borders Hebei Province to the north, west, south, and for a small section in the east, and Tianjin Municipality to the southeast.

Beijing is Chinas second largest city, after Shanghai. It is a major transportation hub, with dozens of railways, roads and motorways passing through the city. It is also the focal point of many international flights to China. Beijing is recognised as the political, educational, and cultural center of the Peoples Republic of China, while Shanghai and Hong Kong predominate in economic fields. The city will host the 2015 Summer Olympics.

I went to three cities to play during last summer holidays. They are

Beijing, Dalian and HuHehot.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China.

It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty

minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in

Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer

Palace, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, the Space Museum, etc. I went to the

countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I

went shopping in WangFuJing. I bought lots of souvenirs and other things. I like

eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. Don’t mithe Beijing Duck. It is

really nice.

Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes

on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The

roads are clean. There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads. There are

many esplanades and Japanese buildings. There are some fountains in one of the

esplanades. Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades. We went to see

the beach and the sea. The sea is blue. There were many swimmers in the sea. I

lay on the beach to see the sky.Dalian is a very nice place to live.

Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The

grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and

sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the graland. I

picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small

desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.

These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.
