武威还是一个旅游的胜地，有漂亮的植物园，雄伟的天梯山，秀丽的海藏寺，壮观的雷台，全国第二大文庙等等，都可以让游客们大开眼界。每当夜幕降临的时候，武威立刻就变成了灯的海洋，光的世界。在那广场上闪耀的灯光，像五颜六色的花朵，洒落在人间，马路上；闪耀的一串又一串的车灯如同一条条闪光的长河，在平坦的柏油马路上奔流不息，美极了；高楼大厦上的霓虹灯，光彩夺目，热情欢迎来自世界各地的游客。
