One comment I"ve never heard is that Forrest"s simplicity is almost zen-like. The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation.It played a GREat part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre.

My first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

This year summer vacation, I read the American well-known writer Hemingways novel “ old person and sea ”。 I extremely admire in the novel the senior fishermans will, he let me understand one person certainly must have relentless spirit, only then could obtain successfully.

The novel description is one year near sixty years of age senior fisherman, when alone goes to sea in one fishing, fished one big fish, actually did not pull. The senior fisherman socialized several days after the fish, only then discovered this was the big marlin which one surpassed the oneself fishing boat several fold, although knew perfectly well very difficult to win, but still did not give up. I’d never given much thought to how I would die. But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go. ” When reading such moving words, I am completely absorbed in this splendid novel --- Twilight. The person who had said such moving words was a 17-year-old girl --- Bella, who was a high school student. After reading the whole novel, what impresses me most is not the mysterious vampires family, but the kindhearted and brave girl --- Bella. Bella was a 17-year-old girl who has experienced her parents’ divorce. In order not to be an obstacle to her mother’s happiness with her stepfather, Bella firmly chose to move into a new city --- Forks to live with her father. Even though she knew that what was waiting for her was the new and strange circumstance, Bella still decided to face all of them fearlessly, which makes me know that Bella is a really thoughtful and considerate girl.

As a matter of fact, Bella was just an ordinary human girl who would grow old as time went by and die one day, but Edward was an immortal vampire who had an exceptional and unique strength of reading people’s minds. Actually, some people may wonder why Edward would fall in love with such a delicate human girl, while others may hold a doubtful attitude towards their love story. However, to my mind, I strongly believe that Bella and Edward can lead a happy life. About one thing I am absolutely positive, they can lead a happy life and they needs to confront with various of hardships and setbacks. But why am I so positive about their love story? Let me have an analysis!

Bella is a kindhearted and independent girl who never goes with tide. She always sticks to her own way of doing everything. On her first day to school, Edward came across with Bella, and at that moment Edward could not move his eyes on Bella at his first sight on her. I clearly know that it was Bella’s unique and special character that drew Edward’s attention. In Edward’s mind, Bella was a natural girl with a kind heart. After several days’ struggle, Edward could not prevent himself from caring about her and loving her though he knew perfectly well that it would be a fateful and deadly thing for a vampire to fall in love with a human girl. From this, it can be seemed that what a charismatic and glamorous girl Bella was.

When Bella answered “I’ll be with you forever, Edward.” I can realize their love has already been surpassed human in human’s innermost feelings.

When Edward said, “You don’t know how long I’ve waited for you, Bella” I know, Bella is the most suitable one for him, only with Bella can Edward gains the real happiness.

To be honest, Twilight is the best romance novel that I’ve ever read. There is no much flourish in it, but there are lots of touching and thrilling plots between Edward and Bella. I still remember every time Bella was in danger, Edward could helped her out in time, which made Bella feel so grateful and become interested in him gradually.

There was a time when Bella was on her way home from a bookstore alone, suddenly a gang of ruffians molested her, Bella felt helpless and hopeless. Fortunately, Edward appeared as a hero and rescued the beauty, Bella. At that moment, I couldn’t help praising, that Edward was such a thoughtful gentleman who cares about the person he loves at any time. No wonder Bella would love him.

Then when Edward told Bella he had a super strength that he could read every person’s mind except Bella’s one. You can not imagine that, Bella’s first reaction to it was --- “Is there something wrong with me?” Hearing that, Edward smiled and said, “I tell you I can read minds, and you think there is something wrong with you.” At that time, Edward knew Bella was a kind girl indeed, who would not be worried and scared when hearing such unusual truth, but just try to find the mistakes of herself.

All in all, romantic love always has a happy ending. When Bella went through life and death, when Edward experienced the cruel ordeal, seeing they were dancing romantically at last, I can say their love will be going on.

为了提高自身的英语教学质量和效率,我从学校图书馆借来《英语教学方法与策略》一书,利用业余时间认真地进行了研读,获得了不少教益。

这本书由鲁子问和康淑敏两位专家编写,由华东师范大学出版社出版,可以作为英语教学设计方向研究生教材,也可以作为中小学英语教师设计培训教材使用。我认为在英语学科骨干教师研修班接受培训期间读读这样一本书是再合适不过的。这本书介绍了教学方法与教学策略的相同与差异,提出了教学方法与策略的选择与整合的方法,介绍了英语教学方法的实践操作方法,包括情景教学法、交际教学法、任务教学法和自主学习教学,然后分析了英语教学过程的策略及实践操作方法,并从英语知识教学的策略及实践操作方法、英语技能教学的策略及时间操作方法两方面对英语教学方法与策略的行动研究提供了系统的指导。

编者用六章分别讲了教学方法与教学策略、英语教学方法的实践操作、英语教学过程的策略及实践操作、英语知识教学的策略及实践操作、英语技能教学的策略及实践操作和英语教学方法与策略的行动研究。

该书对相关理论进行了系统、简要的讲解,主要的内容是对英语教学实践的指导与分析。每一节都采用“准备-学习-实践”三部式结构,不仅讲解理论,而且注重教学实践。在每一节的理论讲解之后,都设计了“实践分析”专栏,以强化理论与实践的直接联系。在看每一节的时候,我都是跟着该书的编排形式在不断地调整自己的思维。在准备环节,编者会给出一个案例,让读者思考,遇到此类教学问题该如何解决,此时,我的大脑就会回忆我在教学中有没有遇到过,我又是如何解决的,然后思考怎样才能解决得更好;在学习环节,编者给我们提供了最系统的理论知识,此时我就很认真地研读每一条理论,认真理解每一个概念,为今后的教学活动积累必要的理论知识;在实践部分,我仔细地看了每个实践活动,对于一些比较有价值的活动自己在教学中也尝试着使用。

本书的优点是:1)语言浅显易懂。不像平常的教育着作,带着很多专业术语。2)内容很实用。书中不但简要地介绍教育理论,还举出大量的课堂活动例子,很适合各个层次的外语教师参考。3)描述很细致。书中谈到英语教学中很多细节的东西。4)编排符合读者习惯,发人深思。书中每一章节都会在适当的位置上安排一个文本框,给出一些名词解释或让读者讨论或思考一个问题。如:请讨论,您如何看待Practice makes perfect.它与数量原则有什么关系?训练中如何把握训练的量?

这本书让我羞愧于自己在教学理论和策略方面知识的匮乏,更让我明白英语教学的成功应体现在“培养学习者在真实的情景中有效使用英语的能力”我是一个率性而为的人,很多时候只是随心而教学,不会严格遵循某一教学模式。所以一直以来,教学成绩都没有取得重大突破,而我本人也一直为此烦恼,这本书教会我许多有理论支持的教学方法。如:语法翻译法、直接教学法、认知法、自然法、社团教学法、沉默教学法、全身反应法、暗示教学法。从书中我悟到了想成为一名优秀的教师必须充分认识到“教必有法”的原则性和“教务定法”的灵活性特点之间的统一关系。教师不应拘于一法一策,囿于一方一圆,而是要因地制宜,因材施教,将各类方法加以组合和调配,在吸收、借鉴已有教学方法的基础上,创造性地发挥,逐步形成富有教师个人特色的教学风格。在教学实践中,我根据教学环境、教学目标、教学内容、学生的需求和自身的教学风格适丰富了一下教学方法和策略,收到了一定的效果。

我最受启发的是书中的如下观点:呈现学习任务时,应当向学习者描述任务中的问题发生的物理背景、组织和社会文化背景。并且,问题的呈现必然是有趣的或吸引人的,目的是引导学习者的积极参与。让学习者体现到伸手可及的成功;教学活动的设置应考虑学习者的兴趣,需要和情感;老师可以和学习者商量课堂活动的内容并建议学习者把他们感兴趣的学习材料带回班上。让我陷入长久的沉思的是这个观点:“personalities and relationships are important for motivation”即:教师的性格及其与学习者之间的良好关系在调动学习者学习方面很重要。文中提到“即使我们不能完全改变自己去满足不同学习者的需要,但我们可以主动了解学习者感兴趣的话题,如:流行音乐,年轻人喜欢的电影,新车,科技的发展等。看到这里,对于学生为什么没有积极参与我自以为精心准备的课堂活动,我似乎找到了答案:设计活动时,我只是从教材内容和个人兴趣出发。当学生冷淡对待活动时,我只会埋怨大的学习环境不好,埋怨学生不配合,极少去思考是否学生对内容感兴趣,是否活动的难度适合学生,课堂指令是否清晰等因素。文中还指出:即使学生会使用老师准备好的语言结构,也明确活动的目的,但如果他们缺乏信心,也不会积极参与…所以,对学生及时得体的鼓励相当重要,借用李阳老师的话就是鼓励学生 “Enjoy losing face. Enjoy making mistakes ”总之,要踏上英语教学的成功之路,进行方方面面的准备工作是必要的,

对于以后的教学,我将努力改变陈旧的教学理念,尝试新的教学模式,自始至终把学生放在中心位置:把激发学生的学习热情放在首位,发挥交际教学的优势。是时候改变沉闷的课堂气氛,还学生一个愉快的学习环境了!是时候彻底解放学生,还学生一个可以自主学习的空间了!

其实,单纯阅读只是一个浅层理解词句的过程,我们可能在阅读中很感动,很受启发,但是,几个星期或几个月后,可能我们的思维又回复原状;若把我们的所思所想写下来,联系我们的教学或生活实际加以变通,可能会更长久地影响我们;而如果把我们学到的经验及时应用在教学中或生活中,我们的学生或我们自己则会终身受益,这才是阅读的目的。“热爱阅读、高效阅读、创新阅读”让我们互勉!

[英语教学方法与策略的读后感

首先因为作者领着读者做了一次动人心魄的海底远游。鹦鹉螺号以飞快的速度，让读者随着尼摩船长和他们的“客人们”饱览了海底变换无穷的奇异景观和各类生物：最远的极地、最深的海沟、最大的珍珠……大蜘蛛、章鱼、鲨鱼……让人目不暇接的同时还耳目一新。

其次它是一部出色的悬念小说。从海面上怪兽的出没，搅得人心惶惶开始到鹦鹉螺号被大西洋漩涡吞噬为止，悬念迭出，环环相扣，扣人心弦。

这本书告诉我们，海底也是一座宝库，它也等待着我们去探索。

The first impression that the boy Tom gave me was a naughty, mischievous boy, just as what Aunt Polly said. He never lacked the curiosity to explore new places, sometimes even risking his life, which I did not dare to! There were some great adventures of him with Huck or Joe. Huck was an orphan, and Joe was Tom’s classmate. Everybody in the small village knew Tom, mainly for Tom’s—you know kind of gallantry!

I should tell you the adventures. The origin of the attempt was that Tom and Huck was getting curious to the world of outside, and they made an effort to run-away. However, when they were in the graveyard, some people appeared. They were Injun Joe, Huck’s father, named Potter, and a doctor. Tom and Huck quickly hid behind the bush, and they saw them digging the coffins out, probably finding something valuable. They did not realize that what they witnessed was a murder! Tom and Huck were extremely afraid, and they ran away rapidly. On the court, Potter was being accused of the murderer; however, Tom declared that it was Injun Joe who used Potter’s knife to kill the young doctor. On hearing this, Injun Joe broke the glass and ran away! This scared everybody, and Tom’s brother, Sid, said that he always heard Tom mumbling something when he was asleep, and sometimes even shouting. Indeed, the accident was fluttering everybody in the town with fear.

Before, Tom once fell in love with a girl called Lawrence. And he showed off in front of the girl, trying to win the girl’s heart, but Lawrence ignored Tom’s appearance, and it made Tom sad. At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence (it was probably childish thoughts), she refused Tom. Tom got so depressed that he resolutely committed the second escape.

He made contact with Huck and Joe that afternoon, about where to meet, the code words of meeting, and the route, and so on and so forth. Each of them brought some food, and Huck brought some pipes (remind that Huck had no real home, and I had no ideas where he got the things). At midnight, they met at the place, and they took a raft down the river. After drifting for about several hours, they finally reached the destiny. There they lived for about several weeks, and while everybody thought they were drowned, they had a great time. They were no problems of food or water shortages. They promised to be a pirate, and would live there forever.

If you were out from your relatives for a long time, wouldn’t you miss home? It was the same for those children. After several weeks, Joe felt that he missed home very much, and Tom could not seem to stop him. On this, Tom brought Joe and Huck his secret—

On one night, when the rest of the boys fell asleep (of course they slept outside), Tom crept from the camp, and headed toward the town. He sneaked to his aunt’s room, and hid under the bed, while everybody- Mary (Tom’s sister), Sid, Aunt Polly and Joe Harper’s mother were having a meeting. There were a lot of tears, about how the boys were killed, and how they would treat the boys if they ever lived again, such things. Tom almost wanted to get out of the bed and hug Aunt Polly, but he couldn’t. At last, everybody went to sleep. Tom went out from the bed, and flew to the camp. That was the secret— that the boys will go to their own funeral!

While the boys were outside, all of the people in the town were discussing about the accidents. The town was immediately covered with a sense of doom. So the funeral was raised. Everybody wore a black suit, and they prayed something along with the priest. Just then, they saw somebody entering the gate, and what they saw was unbelievable. Three young souls came out from their coffins and showed up in front of everybody! The change of the atmosphere was imaginable. Aunt Polly, Joe Harper’s mother, Mary and Sid were astounded to find that Tom came so vivid in front of them, and so Tom and Joe became a hero in the school, even in the town.

The real adventures of Tom were finding the treasures. However, I felt that I had no energy to write more…

The author pays homage to Hans Christian Andersens compassionate tale with this faithful adaptation. Kids can relate to the ducklings dilemma; part of the growing-up process is pulling away from those around you and developing a strong sense of self. Children have also witnessed or experienced the teasing that is part and parcel of childhood.

This ageless story speaks across generations with its reaffirming message. In this age of instant gratification, Andersens tale reminds readers that some things are worth waiting for and that a pleasure deferred (whether by choice or necessity) is often the sweetest one of all.

Pinkneys descriptive passages resonate with the splendor of natures beauty. The glowing watercolors, filled with intricate details, make each blade of grass visible, and the delicately drawn, nearly transparent mosquitoes are as ethereal as they are in life. The subtle details incorporated into the scenes--a frog catching a passing fly at the pond and a tiny mouse perched by a crate in the old womans cottage--make children take another look.

One day he heard a sound of whirring wings, and up in the air he saw a flock of birds flying high. They were as bright as the snow that had fallen during the night, and their long necks were stretched southward. Oh, if only he could go with them! But what sort of companion could he be to those beautiful beings?

I am too ugly even for a dog to eat, the duckling thought. Jerry Pinkneys poignant text and rich artwork convey the timeless appeal of this tale of hardship and redemption. Anyone who has suffered the sting of ostracism can sympathize with the ugly ducklings plight and will relish the uplifting conclusion.

Forrest gump is a very obedient child, he have to remember these words, he said, stupid people have stupid people. When Jenny told him to run, he stumbled to his feet and ran away the first pair of magic shoes in his memory, also discovered his first potential: run. He has been running, the first run, and later he ran to the football team, and then ran into the university, ran got a degree. In the Vietnam war battlefield, he is still remember Jenny, ran back to his own soul, and ran back to honor and friendship.

You have to admit that, in fact, the success of a lot of things has its accidental factors, it will not because of your deliberate and closer to the finish line, but will when you inadvertently, for your efforts to one of the most appropriate praise of the reward. His loyalty, so he was alone in the Vietnam war out of danger, he still ran back to the jungle to find his comrades. He and trustworthy, he promised his comrades to buy a shrimp boat, but his comrades died, but he was incredible in the eyes of him reach his wishes, also won the huge wealth for themselves. His perseverance, so he will be a run for three years after Jenny left, across the whole of the United States, has been kept, he told you that he just wanted to run, he ran measurement of life, it doesnt need a peaceful freedom or any grandiose things for reason. He is friendly, after his lieutenant save lives, lt has been losing his legs to oneself cant die in the battlefield to drag out an ignoble existence still with deformed body and shame, and anger, because lt is such a person: he saw honor above all else, he cant stand, is forrest gump with friendly back his confidence in life, he found that, even without legs, life can still be alive.

Forrest gump is not great ideal, he also has a lot of lost, he had little friends, he was always laughed at by a wise man, he loved mother and Jenny has left him...
