The International Childrens Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries,

usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.

The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of

Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was

chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San

Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon

Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also

coincided with the conference in Geneva.

June 1 has since been observed as the ICD by numerous countries, especially

by Communist countries; in the Western world the ICD is usually celebrated on

other days of the year (if at all)， and there is often little public awareness

about these celebrations. (See the section on Germany below for further

discussions.) Consequently there is sometimes a misperception that June 1 as the

ICD was a Communist invention. Nonetheless, in recent years even some groups

within the United States started observing the ICD on June 1.

Since I was very small, my parents would read me some stories before I

slept. I like to hear the stories that describe a girl’s growing up. These girls

are so brave and become heroines at last. I want to be one of them, so I tell

myself to be independent, helping my mom with her house work. She is very happy

to see it.

When I go to school, I find my classmates are talking about something, so I

veryGood。俺村师资力量薄弱，俺十岁了才刚开始学英语，但知道英语里，有很多词都可以替代verygood。比如e_cellent、fabulous、fantastic、magnificent、splendid，如果这些词对您来说太拗口，哪怕用great或者super也足以表达了。您唱歌大概是很专业，羞辱人也很专业，有个赛区进十强的比赛中，一位又漂亮又会唱歌的JJ落选的原因是唱歌时带出了呼吸声，您指出了缺点，veryverygood，但您又用嘲笑的方式模仿“大喘气”说了两句。OK，傻子都明白您的意思了，漂亮JJ站在台上，笑容凝结在她的眼中，这时，俺本以为您可以SHUTUP了，结果令人发指的事发生了，您“大喘气”的嘲笑式发言滔滔不绝，三次、四次、五次，漂亮JJ的美腿已经开始颤抖。太残酷了，偶想。

更残酷的是，您还在继续嘲笑。六次、七次、八次。冯小刚的贺岁片，没完没了。

BTW，MariahCarey、林亿莲、邓丽君和李谷一唱歌的时候都有呼吸音，当年所谓“泣声唱法”，大伙儿都呼哧呼哧的。

我来咱们学校实习已经三个多月了，您是我最敬佩的一个老师。

起初我只是觉得您很严厉，很干练。不论是说话、办事还是教学，我特别羡慕范老师有一个像您这样的指导老师，如果说工作时间长了的都会多少产生职业倦怠，那么您真的让我们这些初登讲台的实习教师汗颜。

我们几个实习老师在教了这么长时间还经常在私下抱怨，然后对咱们学校某些工作热情不怎么高的老师表示理解，因为学生本来就不争气，教了三个月就烦的不行了，更何况是教了十年二十年的老教师呢。我现在除了教初二三个班的历史还要带初一一个班的语文，实习班主任我也觉得事多的不行，我感觉特别累，尤其是接了初一的语文，真的把我打击地够呛，想想都发愁，后来别的老师告诉我这个班的语文是全县倒数第一，我更是觉得无力，每天语文课都懈怠的不行。我从期中考试结束后正式接手这个班，到现在，我只讲了一课，其余时间不是在给他们巩固复习以前的基础知识就是在上班会课进行思想品德教育，我坚信纪律不好其他都不行。很多次我都不想教了，因为太多人小学拼音掌握的都不好。我平常会抽时间上去检查一下纪律，发现有任课老师上课就出去打电话了，我就更受打击。这以前在我们中学，都可以算是教学事故的。不过每次看到您值班，我觉得您很不容易。我不知道您如何兼顾家庭和学校，经常在学校里见到您，总是觉得不管好初一这个班，真是对不起您。

很抱歉的是我也跟学生动手，罚蹲。我看他们也觉得很可怜，我也想素质教育，可是连最最基本的及格都达不到还怎么素质教育?我有时候特别矛盾，从这学期开始的时候教初二历史，及格的没几个，六十分的都少，大多是二三十分，可历史满分是一百。初一的语文120分满分，语基和作文加一起能考五十分的极少，第一名也才80出头，其中作弊的有一大半。作为语文老师真是欲哭无泪。

关于考试作弊，说实话我觉得是咱们学校的部分老师在纵容学生作弊，初二的已经形成习惯，很难改掉。在您上次例会提到要严查考试作弊，很多老师都不说话，这也能理解啊，因为我们实习生作为监考老师从开始的时候和咱们学校的老师一起眼睁睁地看着学生作弊到现在开始抓作弊现象，也知道监考老师的不易，管的太严了，学生成绩万一考得太差，班主任和任课老师肯定面子上挂不住。另外学校关于考试作弊的惩罚太轻了，以前是抓到就抓到，无所谓，甚至连班主任都不知道自己的学生在别的考场因为作弊被抓，上次您提出来以后，也只是通报了，并没有什么威慑力，考试是否严格，其实很大程度上在于老师，必须要让老师严管学生才行，如果监考老师睁一只眼闭一只眼，学生就会觉得不抄的就是傻子。我每天在教室的时候会经常怀念自己中学的时候，我们当时的年级主任是我们班的语文老师，和您一样严厉。这么多年过去，很多任课老师都已经忘记了，只有她我还记得很清楚，她是那种眼里不揉沙子的人，我记得那个时候同学犯点什么错就怕传到她那里，在我们印象里她绝对是小错当大错处理，尤其是考试作弊的，可能她比较能说，骂人的词也特别多，我现在骂学生的好多话都是跟她学的，虽然没有脏字，但是学生们都受不了。

我觉得很多事其实您心里比谁都明白，学校老师经常找我们几个实习老师帮忙上课，盯自习，值班，判卷子什么的，尤其是我们刚来的时候，的确什么都干，就差去食堂帮阿姨打饭了。我们开始觉得这是锻炼，后来也实在是忙不过来。不过您经常提出不让我们替其他老师上课，您亲自给我们几个实习老师安排谁负责判什么卷子，哪些不用我们，我们真的挺感动的。尤其是很多老师有什么事第一个想到的就是让我们实习生去替，有一次晚自习我在办公室坐着一个老师还进来问我怎么没去上自习，可是那天我就没有自习课，他疑惑路主任没安排你去?还很惊讶。其他实习老师都说也只有路主任您不什么事都安排我们实习生。在我们心里，您不仅严厉干练，而且公道正直，相信您的学生比我们更加敬重您，他们世界观人生观的养成，离不开您的教育。

可是，咱们学校像您这样的老师，恐怕没有第二个，我都觉得您挺累的。很多时候事必躬亲未必是好事，您做的越多，其他老师操心越少。我觉得您应该是多“管”，少做。而且咱们学校的很多老师，虽然图清闲，不想做班主任，但是他们具备做班主任的能力和责任心，这样的老师就应该担负一部分责任;而在班主任的队伍里，一些责任心较差，对学生要求低的老师，真的不适合做班主任。毕竟您也了解，咱们学校普通班的学生管理起来比较费劲，找一个没什么脾气的老师，怎么让学生敬畏?另外，您现在是初一年级的年级主任，一年级还有希望可以塑造好，有些纪律差、难管理的班级就应该及时拆了，等到初二，就真的管不了了。虽然说学生是一届不如一届，但是如果咱们学校的成绩和管理达不到严格、优秀，好学生的家长当然不会让孩子来咱们学校。

There was once a little boy called Guy, and he was eight years old. He was

in third grade; one day when he was at school, he found out that tomorrow was

picture day, and so he had got to take a shower. And before he even got to think

about picture day, his teacher Mrs. Creature, said that they were having a

project, and it was all about their family.

The teacher said, “This project shall be today’s homework, and I want it to

be perfect for I am going to tell your parents if you don’t do it.” Suddenly

Guy’s sister Cally stood up and said, “Mrs. Creature, is it okay that I finish

it on class?” “Sure thing Cally;” answered Mrs. Creature smiling, “But there is

only a problem, it is that you must let your brother copy this report on your

paper so that you could help him; then you will have to do another report of

your own, or you’ll both fail!”

Cally and Guy apparently got home, and Cally said, “Mrs. Creature’s hates

me…” “Yeah, it’s hilarious!” shouted Guy, “Let me just copy your paper and we’re

done, okay?” “Ugh,” replied Cally; She reached her hand into her hand, and

pulled out a piece of paper; and said, “This goes over every bone in my delicate

body, but, careful; it’s hand written,” then Guy asked, “Is this gold ink

paper?” then Cally shouted at him and said, “Anything happened to this paper and

your family history ends right here pal!” and then she walked to her room.

Guy walked to the sofa and said, “My running is fast, I have nothing to

worry about it;” then suddenly his father came with a paper shredder in his

hands and said, “Hey Guy, check out my new paper shredder and…” He had barely

finished when suddenly; Guy threw Cally’s report into the shredder by accident,

and “azuowenz!” like that sound, Cally’s report was shredded. Guy called, “No!”

then his dad was ashamed and said, “Oh, I guess it isn’t a good thing to walk

around with this thing turned on;” and then he ran off with his legs behind his

butt.

Suddenly, Guy’s body shook, and he turned into Shezow. He went to Sheila,

his, or her, super computer, and said to her; “What’s wrong Sheila, I’m kind of

busy around here and…”

“Dude, or should I say Shezow, this isn’t about your own business; because

there is an emergency out there.

After a breath Sheila said to Guy, “Mega monkey is on the attack, and

according to me he should be back in time.” Then Guy said, “Road trip! Time

traveling!” then he hopped into the sheicel and drove off to time travel… He was

excited.

She drove off right away. After that, she found some of the pass few

Shezows. At last Sheila said to Shezow, “My scan is lining up like dynamite,

follow that flapper!” shouted Sheila. Shezow followed it just as Sheila said,

and found herself in the 1920s; “Wow, it looks like the 1920s,” said Maze, Guy’s

brother. Then Shezow zoomed into a tornado.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself in 1924, the Shezow in that

time saved her world from Mega monkey that had escaped not long before, and

Sheila then said, “Quick, to the beginning!” then she allowed Shezow to drive to

the beginning where they might save the day…

Shezow at last arrived at the beginning, and she stopped in time. At first

a dinosaur was chasing her and was very, very frightened. But the Shezow in that

time saved her, she was grateful; then she found her or his or Guy’s report

there at the beginning Shezow’s lair…

The next day at school, when Guy’s report was handed out, he got an A+; and

when Cally’s report was handed out, she got an A-…

jolly fellow that helped people when they were in need.

The only problem was, whenever there was somebody in need, he would give

them something to eat so as to solve their problems. The people in his country

soon became sick of this, and so wanted him to stop. But Marlin just won’t; and

went on helping and helping and helping… nobody knew when he was going to stop,

or when they were going to let him know that they didn’t want him to bother all

day. Ugh, but Marlin wouldn’t stop; all day long he helped this and that, the

promised, he worked very hard to earn money. Although he was just a little boy,

he ought to do what he had said; for those are the rules. And when he had enough

money, he would buy the music box, and hand it to that poor boy.

Marlin did anything he could to earn money: Sweep the floor, clean his

room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had

already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he

took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid

him a great deal of money.

At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here

and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and

bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin

soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’

There was once a Piers family, and the father of the group divided his

son’s equally between them for homes.

The greedy son named Cassim, married a rich wife and of course got rich

himself. The other one, named Ali Baba, was not half of greedy as he was, and

married a poor wife and remained as poor as usual.

One day Ali Baba went to town where he knew was a wood in the end; he

brought with him three mules and an axe to load wood. Ali Baba only finished

loading half his mules with wood, when he heard a thumping sound coming from not

far away; he thought it was in the fields.

As they came nearer and nearer, Ali Baba began to feel more like they were

robbers. So he decided to leave his mules and save himself, and he climbed up a

tree nearby, and waited until the robbers went away.

Ali Baba was patient, and waited for the robbers to go away; after the

robbers tied their horses to the fence in town, they came under the tree which

Ali Baba had left his mules; he found the robbers approaching a big rock, and

found the captain of the leaders standing in the front of the big rock. And then

pronounced the words, “Open sesame!” the mouth of the cave immediately opened

wide, and the robbers went inside; the captain went in last. After a few minutes

Ali Baba found the robbers coming out with bags in their hands, since the

captain of the robbers went in last he came out first that is for sure! And then

the captain of the robbers stood at the mouth of the cave again, and pronounced

the words, “Close sesame!” and the door immediately closed shut very tightly.

And then robbers hopped on their horses, and galloped away through the

fields.

Ali Baba stared at them for a long time until he couldn’t see them.

And so Ali Baba got down from the tree, and went to the big rock. And as he

knew the words, he pronounced, “Open sesame!” the door immediately opened. Then

he went inside. To Ali Baba’s surprise, he found a golden chamber, and in it was

gold and diamonds of all kinds! Ali Baba couldn’t even believe his luck!

When I was very small, I saw an interesting movie, which was called Kongfu

Panda. The fat panda image was so lovely and I learned that there was such a

lovely animal in the world. Since then, I fell in love with this animal. I learn

a lot of relevant knowledge. Panda is dying out, so we need to protect them by

protecting the environment.
