Dragon Boat race Traditions

At the center of this festival are the dragon boat races. Competing teams drive their colorful dragon boats forward to the rhythm of beating drums. These exciting races were inspired by the villagers valiant attempts to rescue Chu Yuan from the Mi Luo river. This tradition has remained unbroken for centuries.

Tzung Tzu

A very popular dish during the Dragon Boat festival is tzung tzu. This tasty dish consists of rice dumplings with meat, peanut, egg yolk, or other fillings wrapped in bamboo leaves. Families will hang various herbs, called Ay Tsao, on their door for protection. The drinking of realgar wine is thought to remove poisons from the body. Hsiang Bao are also worn. These sachets contain various fragrant medicinal herbs thought to protect the wearer from illness.

In the past few decades, our Earth has changed a lot, but to the bad

direction. Among these changes, the air pollutions resulting from a huge number

of automobiles and coal-burning is almost the severest. The severe air pollution

alarms humans of the heavy load we have exerted on Earth by our insatiable

production and usage of automobiles. However, with the deepening of

urbanization, more cars are needed, which will make the air pollution worse.

Therefore, the following actions should be taken. First, we should apply the

My Spare Time

高中三年，我不求过得像夏天荷花那般轰轰烈烈，只求像那片枫林一样，从容而淡定，其中夹杂着些微痴迷，便了无遗憾。

又是秋风簌簌，再次吹落枯叶，再次整片树林红透。时光依旧匆匆，终会带走接踵而来的三年。然而，我不想谈离别，因为所有离别，终将在高中再见。

怀着对初中的留恋，对未来的憧憬，我走进了大冈中学，开始一段全新的求学之旅。

高中生活就像一幅刚展开的画卷，充满着无穷的奥秘，等待着我们去探索。路漫漫其修远兮，我们只能一步步脚踏实地走下去。高中是我们进入大学的阶梯，也是步入社会的门槛。但前行的道路可能荆棘丛生，我们要以风的精神去穿越荆棘。高中生活比我想象中的更不容易：新环境、新老师、新同学，一切都是那么的陌生;全新的教学模式，全新的作息时间，一切都是那么的充满挑战。开学以来，我总还会将初中的思维定势不自觉地搬到高中学习中来，但一点效果没有。高中更注重我们的主观能动性，需要我们以努力为画笔，为我们高中生活画卷填上五彩斑斓的美丽。

高中生活像一首待完成的长诗，蕴含着无尽的想象，激励着我们去奋斗。诗，充满了画意，它带我们闯入中外文化的__大海。我会把握现在的每分每秒，为我的人生大厦添砖加瓦。经历了初中三年，让我深知这是个美好的开始，不管高中三年残酷也好，平淡也好，欢喜忧愁也罢，但我来过，我会尽我所能去奋斗。我的班主任，严肃不失俏皮;我的任课老师，负责不失热情;我的同学，上进不失温暖!同这样的师友为伴，我相信我的高中生活一定是充实又美好的。
