The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year.

The first day of the Lunar New Year is "the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth."Many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. They are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.

The third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.

The fifth day is called Po Woo. On that day people stay home to welcome the God of Wealth. No one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.

On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.

The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.

The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

前此日子一连下子几场雨，院里长在砖墙下的苔便吸饱了水，一团团一片片浓郁的黛色便在红砖上染开，甚是喜人。

反观，院中先前风头正盛的几株海棠，已是近半散落在潮润的地上，风光不复。这几场骤雨向来不会怜惜这些花儿，只顾着穿林拂叶，不露半毫温情，也只有那终年盘栖在墙下的苔还在为连日的滋润而自喜，它大概是最不像那些花的了。兀自在见不得光的地方静默着，残红乱舞与它无关，新绿纵横不入它眼，一时间，竟显出了些隐士的智慧气息来。

我想，苔大概是具有一种超脱的睿智，不言不语，自有一方天地。

遥闻那宋时文主走进了园里，最先前见的却不是满园春色，而是紧闭的柴门与阶上的苔，于是便有了“应怜展齿印苍苔”的情感来，那一团团翠色而饱满的苔在春风温柔照拂后与诗人相见，激起了一片对春色的怜爱来。又如那一方陋室前青葱的草色与蔓上阶的苍苔，在许久无人探访后生长到覆满了院落，它是寂寞的吗?我想应非如此，那样甘于平凡的苔生长着，那陋室中的人便坚守着那样孤寂却满是傲气的灵魂。于是苔就这样伴着诗人度过了无数个难眼的苦雨长夜。

When I was in college, I studied very hard. As a major of English, I often practiced my oral English. Every time, I could think in English. what relation is the best between teachers and students.A teacher can treat a

student in two ways .One is strict, and the other is friendly. Most teachers

prefer the first way.To start with, we certainly have to admit that strictness

is very effective, especially to the naughty pupils.

As pupils we aren’t able to control ourselves well or fix our attention on

one thing for a long time. We do most things because they are interesting or we

feel like doing. We are always looking out of the window in class. Sometimes, we

get to play games and forget our homework. On this occasion, strictness is a

must. It not only forces us to do the right thing, but also helps us develop a

good learning habit, which is of great importance during our whole life .In

other words, it is the first step to success.Still, everything has two sides.

Its weak points are very obvious. You see, there’re top students in a class,

where average students make up the majority. Then teachers’ orders or

suggestions are for the majority, not for top students. However, top students

always have their own study plans and prefer special homework, so orders usually

won’t take great effect on them.

Maybe you have thought out that teachers can give orders only to the

majority and set some freedom to top students. However, it’s impossible .For a

whole class, teachers couldn’t give order to part of the class, for the majority

would question why they needn’t do such work, but we need? It would be probable

that they think teachers treat them not equally, and will not obey teachers’

orders any more. This is a difficulty for teachers.It also has another

disadvantage——the communication problem .Since teachers are strict, we never

tell teachers our personal affairs or secrets. Mostly we just tell them to our

friends, but as students too, they couldn’t help to solve our problem, such as

puppy love, communication problems or study problems .Not being solved

completely, they always disturb us, influencing our daily life and study. I’m

sure that you think that making friends with teachers can solve the problem, and

you are eager to do so as well. But if we do so, new problems will come out .You

see, an adult couldnt control himself well at times, let alone us students.

However if teachers are our friends, I doubt whether their orders will take

effect any more .You see, have we ever treated our friends’ orders as orders? We

think they’re only jokes. This is another difficulty for teachers.Additionally,

our parents have the same problem. Yes, we need to be friends, but not complete

friends. We need to keep a certain distance, making us communicate well and

willing to take your orders. I remember a story.One day, a lady had her rest

8College life

When I was young at high school,I couldnt stop dreaming about my college life again and again.Suffering too much pressure form college entrance test,I always admired college students for their relaxed life in college.

In my personal opinion,living in university is  an enjoyment.Every day we can open our eyes naturally,and put on clothes in our own style without warring about teachers rigid control.Communicating with great master is no longer beyond our reach.Each course we take can be a feast for our mind and soul.After class,we will lead a rich and colorful life filled with various leisure activities such as .Library in  university is another factor I pursue.I think its an access to enhancing our comprehensive abilities to read even just scan all  sorts of

Nowadays, many families have a dog or a cat as a pet. Some people think

that pets are good and helpful companies. Some of them even go so far as saying

that animals are as good as humans, and their rights should be respected .Senior

citizens are especially fond of keeping pet because they are always feeling

由此看来，我们的衣食住行一刻都离不开科技的贡献，相信我们身边的每个人也在时时刻刻的对科技的发展以自己的方式探索着，贡献着……

科学技术的日新月异，使得科学不只为尖端技术服务，也越来越多地渗透到我们的日常生活之中，这就需要正处于青少年时代的我们热爱科学，学习科学。参加科技比赛、阅读科技书籍，使我明白了许多道理。精密的机器人，不用燃料的汽车，

高科技信息的传送等等，一个个生动有趣的现象，越来越激起了我探索科学的愿望。我们每个人都要学习科学，传播文明，在享受新生活的同时，更要创造新生活。如今，科技产品的更新换代不断加快，网络电视、光纤上网、心脏起搏器，已经不算新鲜了。从1901年发明的真空吸尘器，到第一颗人造卫星、载人飞船，科技在不同领域里显示出了强大的力量。电子产业、通讯技术的日益普及，纳米技术、超导材料的广泛应用，不久的一天，也许就在你的餐桌上，会出现像太空番茄、人造牛肉等生物工程食品。学习科学技术，不仅仅是为了成为科学家，也是为了能适应生活，更为了能成为新世纪的主人，担起新世纪，为国家建设，为人类文明做出贡献。

新中国成立以来，我国的科技发展突飞猛进，人工合成胰岛素、断手再植、杂交水稻、爆炸原子弹和氢弹、发射人造卫星和飞船等等，这些令世人瞩目的科技成就，大大缩短了我国和先进国家的科学技术的差距，为我国的现代化建设注入了活力。邓小平爷爷说“科学技术是第一生产力”，的确如此，科学为我们祖国的腾飞插上了翅膀。毛泽东主席曾对青年说，世界是你们的，也是我们的，但归根结底是你们的。这句话，饱含了长辈们对我们的殷切期望。如果说长辈们用辛勤的劳动建设了20世纪的祖国，那么，我们就应该以知识、以科学担起新世纪的重担。

让我们创新超越梦想，用科技改变生活！

新学期开始了，同学们都返回学校重新见面。他们正在谈论自己的暑假生活。我更高兴，迫不及待地想告诉他们我是怎么过的。终于轮到我，了，我告诉他们我暑假期间在一家餐馆当服务员。他们起初并不相信。“是真的。”我说，“刚开始时可惨了，但几天我就做得很好了。暑假我挣了600元钱呢。”他们都目瞪口呆地看着我。

我的住宅是高科技电子别墅。门口可没有在以前算是很高级的指纹识别仪器，而是声音识别系统。只要我进门前说一句话，它就会快速识别，并自动把门打开。假如你硬想把门拉开，那也无济于事，相反它会自动报警。住宅里，所有的电器都改用光能了，在住宅里特别脏了的时候，那些改用光能的电器就会吸收一点空气中的灰尘，把垃圾化成能量。我回家前会向往家里打个电话，在家里的机器人就会按我的指示去做。我回到家时，不是水烧好了就是饭烧好了，总之一切都安排的井井有条，回到家时我就轻松极了。

走到大街上，汽车还是像以前那样多，但是这些汽车不是靠汽油来启动的，而是利用太阳能。如果一连几天都没有太阳，这些汽车就会像那些改用光能的电器一样吸收大街上的垃圾和灰尘，把它们化成动力。不仅没有污染，而且又把马路打扫得干干净净，这真是一举两得啊！遇到堵车的情况，那也不用着急，因为这些汽车都是会飞的，还装有定位系统。一旦你疲劳了，可不要再坚持开，因为可能会引发交通事故。你只要先把车停住，然后设定目的地，汽车会自动驾驶，你就可以好好休息了。

未来生活的好处还有很多，我看得兴奋极了，一看原来是一场梦！

俗话说：爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧符。

一年只有一次，最热闹的也就是那个晚上，我盼望着那个晚上的到来，迎之后那个迷人的夜晚。

直到那个晚上的到来，给我带来了许多的快乐和乐趣。为了今年的“年夜大餐”，母亲和奶奶在除夕的前两天就开始“动工”了。因为母亲眼中的年夜饭是团圆饭，预示着新一年的开始，一切都要十全十美，不能有半点马虎。每到这时候，我便会言语谨慎，生怕不经意间说出什么不中听的或是不吉利的话，招来母亲的责骂。对我家而言，这一年一度的年夜饭已经不只是一顿简单的晚餐，更是全家都要参与的仪式。所以在物质生活极大丰富的这天，我们仍然保留了在家中吃年夜饭的习惯。

我家的年夜饭讲究分工合作，各司其责。母亲是总设计师，负责人员调度。父亲帮母亲打小工，负责买配菜，买调料，拿油盐酱醋、锅碗瓢盆；奶奶是总设计师的得力助手；爷爷则是烹饪几个他的拿手菜；我嘛，就负责“偷吃”，在有菜做好了后，我总以尝尝菜的咸淡，来偷吃做好的菜。

晚上七点整，我们的午夜大餐正式开始，一盘盘色香味俱全、香喷喷的饭菜端上桌来，我看得眼花缭乱。开饭喽！我狼吞虎咽的把这美味佳肴往嘴里塞。妈妈把果汁和红酒拿出来，倒在高脚杯里。我端起酒杯祝愿爸爸和妈妈———身体健康，笑口常开，工作顺利；祝愿爷爷奶奶——福如东海，寿比南山。

我家不仅仅年夜大餐丰盛，家庭也那么幸，我既为有一个会做美食的的妈妈感到骄傲，也为有一个美满的家庭。

初中三年的生活转眼就到了末尾。不敢回头眺望，怕因没有努力而留下遗憾，怕昔日的记忆冲垮了心中的坚强。手握生活的笔杆，承着对生活负责的态度，真不知应该给这段难以忘记的时光画上什么符号。是逗号，表示不完整?是省略号，表示自己难以对现实评判而选择逃避?还是问号，表示迷惑而无所得?如此这般，生命又有何意义?

我对未来有着美好的憧憬，我不愿生命如此平庸，我不愿浑浑噩噩的度过初中生活。作为一个学生，主要任务就是学习，好学习，学好习。理想是方向，是为之奋斗的目标，而我在初中阶段的目标就是考上庆一中，因为有了目标，所以我不像没头苍蝇一样乱飞乱撞，有了良好的开端，就成功了一半，理想不是一成不变的，他随着生活的变化而变化，一个伟大的理想是由诸多小的理想构建的，在人生的每一阶段有各自的理想，一步步去实现，那离最终的伟大理想就进了一步，这样积小成多才能实现理想，也不至于因理想与现实的沟壑而望之胆怯了。

有了方向，还要有动力。

我的动力，来自于家人的期望，老师的教导，朋友的支持等等。上学时拿着的零花钱，每一张的背后都是父母，家人的付出，回家后每一顿热腾腾的饭菜都是用爱做成的;上课时老师的谆谆教导，下课后老师的批评，都是老师的一片苦心，一日为师终生为父，老师对学生没有感情，又何苦去把时间浪费于此;拼搏路上朋友一个眼神，一句鼓励的话，便足以带来太多太多。这一切，难道不是我们前进时的动力源泉吗?还有那些看似是拦路虎的嘲笑，伤痛等负面情绪，换个角度，不也是前进的理由，一种动力吗?

接受现实，回望初中。只因我的拼搏填补了遗憾，我至少努力过，所以我给这段时光画上圆满的句号。只因我的拼搏得到了回报，所以我给这段时光画上感叹号!
