危险就在我们每个人的身边，有时离我们是那么近。我“有幸”经历了这么一次。那次，我放学回家，看到了这样一幕：一个孩子正在马路中央玩耍，丝毫没有注意到即将到来的危险，一辆大卡车朝她驶来。旁人高喊一声，那个孩子回头一看，是卡车，顿时惊恐万分，脸色发白，腿一软，人直直地倒在地上，大卡车紧急刹车，可是，已经迟了，那个孩子已被压在车下。人群顿时发出一阵惊呼，有的用双手捂住脸，不敢往下看，有的被突如其来的场面吓傻了，呆呆地立在原地。“又一个孩子永远地离开了这个世界”，真是悲哀。可是，当人们回过神来后，却发现小孩奇迹般地站了起来，没有受到一点伤害。

多险呀，真是死里逃生。幸亏了那女孩倒在了车前的正中间，幸亏了那车的底盘高，如果再偏一点，如果车身再低一点，那后果不堪设想。

安全，是我们永远离不开的一个话题，注意安全，是我们每个人都懂的道理。但是安全事故还是每天都在发生，而且不断地增多，天天都在上演那令人心碎的悲剧。安全第一呀，有了安全，我们如花般的生命才能绽放。有了安全，我们才能开开心心地度过青春年华，生命对每个人来说只有一次，失去了，就永远回不来了。每当我们上下楼梯，轻一点儿，静一点儿。每当我们横穿马路，先左右看一下，再轻快地走过，每当我们放学时，要尽快回家，不要在路边玩耍。

生命是伟大的，但又是脆弱的。我们要珍惜生命，安全第一!

I used to be a problem student. I was always late for school, listened to music and ate snacks in class. What’s worse, I hardly ever finished my homework on time.Luckily, with the help of my teachers and classmates, things changed a lot. Now I behave well and study hard. I can almost finish my homework well with the help of my classmates. What’s more, I get on well with others and always help others. I have learned a lot over these three years, but I know I could hardly succeed without the people who helped and supported me—my teachers, my parents and my classmates.

I won’t forget the days I have spent in my junior high school. I’m looking forward to new experiences in senior high school. Although the life in high school is hard ，I have confidence to do better in the future.

In the past twenty years, China has faced three American presidents, but till coming to Yale today, I never realized that China really just faced one university. Although, through these three presidents, I understand that the quality of Yale graduates is not so even.

在过去的二十年中，中国一直在跟美国的三任总统，但是今天到了耶鲁，我从来没有意识到，中国真的面临一个大学。虽然，透过这三位总统，我的理解是，耶鲁大学的毕业生的质量甚至是不。

Let me begin my main subject and let me give it a title, called “My Story and the Chinese Dream Behind It”. I want to talk about five particular years. The first is 1968. That year I was born. But it was also a chaotic year for the world. In France, there was this huge street disturbance, and in America, too. Then President Kennedy was assassinated. However, I really did not cause all of these! But that year what we remember more was the assassination of Mr. Martin Luther King. 过去的家乡，没有几条像样的马路又窄又脏。晴天尘土飞扬过路的人只好捂着脸走。下雨天就更别说了，一不小心就会摔跤。骑自行车的人更糟糕，不是人骑自行车，而是人扛自行车。到处都是低矮的小瓦房，小栩屋......横七竖八，极不规则。垃圾满地都是，发出阵阵的臭味。
