My mother has no idea that her ninetieth birthday is coming up. She has no notion of the time of day, the day of the week. the season of the year, the year of the century. A fun-filled， pain-free lifestyle equaling happiness actually reduces their

chances of ever obtaining real happiness. As a result，many people avoid the very

I have a bitter experience. When I was a child， I lived a poor life，and I

money：buying that new car or those fancy clothes to increase our happiness now

seems pointless. And it liberates us from envy：we now understand that all those

who always have so much fun actually may not be happy at all.
