Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology

(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During

the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5%

Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to

narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and

Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It

is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled

a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and

experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research

(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

“哇，是呀，是呀，这里好漂亮啊，比山上好多了。在山上啊，别说什么美景了，全部是石头，害我要生存还得把根拼命往下扎。现在不同了，主人每天给我浇水，我只要轻轻一吸，就得到水源了。”其中一棵小树兴奋的说着。

“我比较喜欢大自然母亲，虽然她对我们要求很严厉，可是却可以使我们学会坚强。在这里，我觉得一点都不好，让我变得懒惰了许多。我决定从明天开始“绝食”，我要让主人把我种回山里去。我要在大自然的怀抱下成长。”另一棵小树坚决的说。

“咳咳，是谁啊？怎么这么吵啊？”梨树爷爷发话了：“哦，原来是你们啊，欢迎加入我们啊。”梨树爷爷笑了笑。

“欢迎，欢迎。”柳树阿姨也出声了。

院子一下子变得热闹起来。

“刚才听你说你要回到山上去？”柳树对着那棵坚决的小树问。

“是的。”小树回答。

“哈哈，你想着“绝食”？这也太笨了，你绝食，等你干枯是时候，主人不是把你栽回山上去，而是把你直接扔进火炉，这样，你不就成了废柴了吗？”

“你过来阿姨这儿，阿姨这有一口池塘，你照一照吧，看看我们自己，我们只是一棵树，绝食的后果只有死，并不能改变什么。你嫌这儿的条件太好，可是你有没有想过，你可以放弃这些优越的条件，往更深的地底下寻找水源，在寻找的过程中，我相信你能感受得到，大自然，无处不在。”

另一棵小树不高兴了，“他根本是自找苦吃嘛！优越的条件有什么不好，我就很享受啊。”

“孩子，有一天，你会明白的。”梨树爷爷说。

就这样，两棵小树一起成长着，一棵小树享受着主人的浇灌，另一棵小树，像柳树阿姨说的那样，往更深的地底寻找水源，突然有一天，它发现，它的根越扎越深了。

有一天，狂风暴雨的夜晚，一棵小树被风吹到了，一棵小树傲然挺立风中。

看看我们自己，我们不能改变生活的条件，却可以制造生活的条件。优越的生活下，也可以长出参天大树。
