Hello everybody! My name is Chen Xuanlin. It is my pleasure to be here to

share my opinions of growing pains.

Grow up, like a boat in my life, driving the wave surface. Sometimes, be in

calm, sometimes be in rough. But the boat I was growing up, not everything is

going. For me, sour,sweet,bitter,ho t,everything .

Now, as I grow up, are becoming adults, so in the eyes of parents, I was no

When I was a little boy, my life is so relaxed.But now, in front of the

waves are bigger, and more twists and turns the sea,I become a middle school

subjects,have more test.When I was a boy, I am wrong no matter what happened, no

one to blame me.But now,if I do something wrong,my parents will shout. The

relaxe time will far away from me.I will be more busy.

Study pressure always troubling me. Grown up, more work gradually like

hills. After school, I do not dare to play, to see their favorite book, Im

afraid I cant complete the work, I can only try very hard to make the pen in my

book on wave, for example, I have to run on the way home. The course also

gradually heavy. Every home in the evening review, I looked at a lot of books, I

really do not know to study what subject, is Chinese? Or math? Or geography?

Or……

What should I do? To look life in the future.

In summer, the weather is hot. We should drink more water, because we sweat

a lot in hot days. But I prefer to eat fruits. Watermelon, apple and grape are

my most favorites. They are all rich in water. There is a saying that an apple a

day keeps the doctor away. Fruits are good to our body. There are many kinds of

vitamins in fruits. Besides, some people do not like drinking water, so they can

eat fruits instead. I am one of them.

On June 1st day， all children are very happy. On that day， we don‘t go to

school. Most of the children will go to the park. In the park， some children are

flying kites， some are playing football， and some are playing a game. In the

sky， there are a lot of kites. But there is only once a year we will have this

happy festival. I think Children‘s Day is the most important holiday for the

children. Because everybody has fun on that day!

Someone says he likes spring,for there are many flowers. Someone says he

likes summer,he can go swimming.There are lots of people who like autumn,because

there are a great many fruits to eat. But l like winter. l can go skating with

my family.lf it snows,l can make a snowman. Though winter is the coldest

season,the air is very clean,so l like it best.

“Okay king’s peasant,” said the captain of the robbers, “We shall drink the

oil in which you requested us to do;” and so Ali Baba gave them each a scoop of

oil to drink, and then went back himself.

The next day he went to where the robbers lived, since oil can make people

dizzy, they probably should wake up very, very late. And so he took with him a

can of white paint, and painted their house door with it; then without a word to

say, he carved, “Put the robbers in jail, they stole some money and pretended

that they were nice!”

After a short time he found the robbers waking up, and then dressing up.

They found out all the people in town were staring at their door, they thought,

“Look Erick! They must think our door is pretty indeed. ”And then all the

robbers went out and waved here and there without even noticing that on their

door was the sign. And so they had to be arrested. After a few minutes when they

opened their eyes, they were in jail. And they had a guard to guard the lock,

and so they couldn’t get the keys and come out.

The robbers were not happy, but they said, “Chill up,” to every other

robber because that they had a sick plan.

My name is Jim and I have a strong body because I often play sports. I love

sports, and exercise makes me a healthy body. My favorite sport is playing

basketball, and I worship Jordan very much because he plays basketball well.

Every day when I finish my homework, I will watch sports programs on TV. Every

weekend, I will go to play basketball with my friends. Sports make me feel

relaxed and have a good mood.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in

Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University.

After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in

Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a

two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the

acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH

as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study

in Britain for two years.
