英语水平较高的同学，记忆新单词对于他们来说不费吹灰之力。他们可以选取一些难度较高、生词量较多的报纸杂志上的文章，进行大声、快速的朗读。

比方说，可以订一份China Daily，将上面头版头条的文章或是自己感兴趣的报道反复朗读，一定要达到快速不停顿的朗读，这样才有练习的效果;生词可以积累在单词本上。

这样一来，不仅积累了大量生词，快速的朗读也使你潜移默化形成了快速的英语思维和良好的语感，你会发现中考的阅读对你来说简直是小儿科。而且，你还了解了许多新闻、时事、奇闻轶事，这才是我们学习一门语言的真正目的。

以上三种方法，同学们可以根据自身情况，选择适合自己的方法。一旦选择了一种方法，务必坚持每天不打折扣地执行。

为了坚定大家的学习信念，我想给大家讲一个关于英语学习的真实故事。我的外公今年94岁了，他上中学学习英语时曾很吃力，有一年的期末考试没有及格。他下定决心改变这种情况。于是他在暑假订了一份英文报纸，每天早晨4点钟起床，开始疯狂朗读报纸上的文章，坚持了一个暑假。开学后，他一跃成为班里英语成绩第一名。他把这段经历称为“一个暑假的胜利”。这个故事很普通，绝对比不上那些天花乱坠的励志口号。但从中可以看出，英语是可以突击的，这就需要我们利用短时间，有一定强度地打磨英语。愿大家都能取得“一个暑假的胜利”。最后，送上英语学习的八字箴言：模仿至上，背诵为王。

日子，一天又一天的过……而那个永远属于学生的日子——暑假每一年都在继续，而那正是每个学生所期盼的。

当那一年，我第一次踏入学校的大门，面对许多许多崭新的东西，我开始熟悉。可是，我接触的第一个知识，不是我们的语文，也不是精巧的数学，而是暑假，这个陌生又向往的词语。伴随着憧憬，我们一步步走过，终于有那么一天暑假来了……

那一天，我很高兴，我有幸进入了自己梦想的高中，说说笑笑，似乎那一天的欢乐一直在继续……

开学那一天，第一次面对军训，整齐的军装，在美丽的绿茵场上，奔跑，跳跃，走军步……就这样，我进入了高中的生活。

我不知道，这样的生活会是什么样的。比初中好像紧吗，比以前陌生吗，比以前变了吗……还是一切都是原来那样，我不知道。所以，只有自己面对。即使前几天，只字不提暑假，可是谁能想不到呢！几天后，仅仅几天之后，我们又一次开始盼着，等着暑假的到来……有一天，暑假又来了。

可是，一切都变了，即使身处暑假，可是你要做的还是要奋斗着，努力着，永远都不能泄气。因为你松懈的那一刻，必定意味着另一刻你就会落后。所以当再一次面对暑假，少了许多，也多了许多。少了那曾经的放松，多了现在的紧张；少了那曾经的玩笑，多了现在的讨论；少了那曾经的被动，多了现在的主动；少了那曾经的无知，多了现在的责任……

身处暑假，却已经不是以前的那样，变化就像前面那样，也许这只是一小部分吧。

暑假仍会继续，我们的奋斗也永不停息，所以，暑假在变，是因为我们在变，我们要变的更加强大。相信自己……

伴随着暑假的征程，我们登上冲往山顶的路，那是一条曲折的，蜿蜒的路，只要你努力，你在山顶体会一览众山小的豪迈时刻也终究会到来！

日月如梭，转眼间，盼望已久的暑假终于又如期而至了。怎样度过一个充实而有意义的暑假呢？高尔基说过：“书籍是人类进步的阶梯。”即将步入三年级的我打算，在这个暑假里读许多许多的课外书，来提高我的作文水平。下面是我的读书计划：

一、读书有选择。图书馆的书架上摆满了各种各样的课外书，让我们眼花缭乱。有成语故事、童话故事、历史故事……特别是名著。书是我们的朋友，是我们的精神食粮！

二、读书有计划。每天至少要看一个小时的课外书，这样就可以培养成良好的读书习惯。当然，读书时要坐端正，这样才能保护好我们心灵的窗户——眼睛。

三、读书要做到“三到”：心到、眼到、口到。我们要用心去读，用心去悟。吸取书中丰富的营养。唐代的大诗人杜甫说的好，“读书破万卷，下笔如有神。”精彩语段，妙词佳句，反复诵读，熟记在心。每天和爸爸妈妈分享读书的快乐，交流一下读后感吧！

四、看书时做好读书笔记，归类摘抄好词好句，名人名言。在书上做批录第一范文网，同时养成写日记的好习惯。另外，还得多看些工具书，比如，成语词典、新华字典、俗语大全、谚语、格言警句等。

书可以把我们带进知识王国，让我们乐此不疲。同学们让我们一起行动起来吧！

Today, I went to the zoo with my father and mother.
