A thumbnail-sized patch of oil can kill little penguins the smallest of the species measuring just 13 inches (33cm) and weighing 2.2lbs (1kg). The oil separates and mats their feathers breaking natural waterproofing and heating functions.

Ms Blom estimates she has knitted between 200 and 300 penguin jumpers over the years including ones in the colours of every Australian Rules football team in the country.

A staff member read an article in an English women’s magazine about knitting for guillemot birds and decided to adapt the designs.

‘There’s an awful lot of ladies out there who used to knit for their children and grandchildren. These ladies have spare wool and idle hands and they love to feel loved and needed and we love and need them’ said Ms Blom.

虽然生态旅游方面还没有确切的统计数据，不过近年来由政府资助推出的乡村旅游项目却已在中国广受欢迎。

上面的报道中，ecotourism就是近几年经常被提及的一种旅游形式生态旅游，其实就是ecological和tourism两个词结合而成的，类似的用法还有eco city，eco-farming等。另外，这里还提到了rural tourism 乡村旅游，算是ecotourism的一个初步形式吧。其他常见的旅游形式还有：package tour，DIY tour，group/organized tour，medical tour等。

The First Day in New Term

Today is September 3rd, the first day of the new semester. I am happy to see all of my classmates come back to school. Today is the first day for school, so we get our new textbooks. I open them generally and I find that I am interested in most of the contexts. Today we have Chinese, math, English, physics and so on. In the Chinese class, our teacher greets to us and then she suggests us talking about our holidays to others. All of us share the interesting things with classmates. 正当我陶醉之时，一道闪电划过天空，伴随着雷电，大雨倾盆而下。雨水拍打着玻璃，尘土也被冲刷得干干净净。刚刚的雾蔼，也被吹得没有了影子。咦，这不就是自然书上所说的雾霾现象吗?我翻出家里一本厚厚的《十万个为什么》，哈，终于找到了——对，这就是雾霾!它是因为空气中悬浮着大量的烟、尘等微粒遇到水气而形成的混浊现象，使视线模糊并导致能见度下降。怪不得窗玻璃上有星星点点的微粒，原来是空气中的灰尘在作怪啊!

因为现在空气污染越严重，所以雾霾天气就越多，危害也就越大。有时会使汽车不能开，飞机不能降落。要减少雾霾天气，我们必须要保护环境，多植树多种草，提高空气质量，为人类造福。

那天天气真是冷极了，但我们可顾不了那么多。这时，我们的小队长陶心盈就开始分工了：“唐宁珩，你和石雨卉，擦车子的前面，徐晨和张博纳擦车子的上面，陈飞宇和我一起擦车子的后面!”分好了工，我们都开开心心的去做自己的事情，我们一边擦还一边说说笑笑，很是高兴。

瞧!我们的队长陶心盈干的多起劲啊!只见她先用手把车子上的雪堆到一起，把它们扔到地上去，再用手指把车子缝隙里的雪擦干净。我想：我们的队长那么认真，我也应该向她学习!
