I took my school report and came back home cautiously only to find mother wasnt at home. She went to my aunts and wou!d come back in the evcning. I knew that fiom a note on the table. I was still a little bit frightened as if mother would come back suddenly.

Seeing the low marks on the school report and remcmbering mothers cold face, I almost trembled with fear. lf mother know I got so low marks oa the subjects, especially English, she would tear all my cartoon books which are my fovourite. I have been treating them as my own life for a long time. But mother always thought cartoon diverted my attention from study and had a bad effect on me. Frankly speaking, I had realized it. Mother hated those books. She had warned me if I got low marks once more she would get rid of them. I Still wanted to keep those books even if I would mever touch them from then on. What should I do? I knew that any persuation was in vain. I would prevent mother from doing that.

A good idea stroke me. I gathered all the books and put them in a box. Then, I hid the box under my bed. Having done it carefully, I had a breathing spell.

“学习像爬山，爬山中必有难，难中必有苦，苦中必有甜。”这是我们小学时经常唱的一首自勉谣。可惜的是，那时我并不懂它的真正含义，不过现在总算是有所感悟，并可以借此来劝勉其他同学，这也不失为它的价值，或许，你现在不懂为何读书之乐，若干年后，当你回首往事时，你就会用你读书时学会的那句“只有失去了才会懂得珍惜”来为自己年少时虚度光阴的作为而感叹。

“学习像爬山，爬山必有难，难中必有苦，苦中必有甜。”读书生活中的点点滴滴，痛苦与欢乐，都应由每个人经过自己的慎重考虑而获得答案，就此，也不失为读书的乐趣。

[读书生活的苦与乐初三作文

短短两个月的暑假生活从我身边悄悄溜走。今天我再一次踏入了校园，但这是不同以往的，我已经不再是昨天的我，不能再打打闹闹，现在的我又长大了一岁，迈进了初三的大门。

初三是关键的一年，我们正面临升学的转折点。这是命运的岔路口，考上怎样的学校决定今后的命运。是的，中考的考验正摆在我们的眼前！

听妈妈说，一中的升学率比二中高，教学质量也比二中好，考上一中就等于一只脚踏入了大学，于是我对一中充满了向往。

初三是不同寻常的一年，有人胜，有人败，有人兴奋不已，有人悲痛欲绝。

我以前听过一个真实的故事。有一个人是教师子女，他平时刻苦努力学习，积极提问，对中考充满了信心。但是中考时，他考砸了，但凭借着教师子女的加分考上了高中。考完后的一天，他跑到学校问老师。问他自己如果不凭借加分，能不能考上高中。于是，老师骗他说：“你很棒！你就算不加那20分也可以考上高中”于是，他十分高兴。到高中读书后，他凡事都很自信。刻苦努力，终于考上了他理想的大学。

由此可见，有自信的人在逆境中也能奋起。你能说这不是重要的一年吗？

回顾我以前的学习生活，与他人对比，我发现我最大的缺点是不努力，没毅力。

人们常说：“成功是99%的努力加上1%的灵感。”努力如此重要，我却没有好好重视。如果有毅力，铁杵磨成针，但是我却从未坚持干过一件事，常常半途而废。想必大家都知道古今中外的贝多芬吧，他从小双耳失聪，大家想想一个耳朵听不见的人学习音乐，其过程有多么艰辛，但他靠努力与毅力战胜了命运。

在新的学年里，我一定要将“努力”，“毅力”落实在我的学习生活中。

大雁千里迁徙，愚公万日移山。

让我在初三，展开努力与毅力的双翅，翱翔在中考的蓝天。

城镇中的穷人，我看，倒往往是过着最独立不羁的生活。也许因为他们很伟大，所以受之无愧。大多数人以为他们是超然的，不靠城镇来支援他们;可是事实上他们是往往利用了不正当的手段来对付生活，他们是毫不超脱的，毋宁是不体面的。

视贫穷如园中之花而像圣人一样耕植它吧!不要找新的花样，无论是新的朋友或新的衣服，来麻烦你自己。找旧的，回到那里去。

万物不变，是我们在变。你的衣服可以卖掉，但要保留你的思想。

My opinions on volunteering

We are middle school students and we are busy with our lessons. So some people think we should concentrate more on our studies. If we volunteer to help others, its a waste of time. But I think volunteering is great. I not only feel good about helping others but also get to spend time doing what I love to do. And from volunteering I have learned many things that I have never learned in class. So if I have an oppoutunity, Id like to visit old peoples home to clean up for them. Id also like to help sick kids in hospital. I love kids and I plan to put my love to good use by working in hospital. In a word, Id like to help people who need help. If everyone helps out a bit, the world will be more colorful.
