An Unforgettable Experience

There are various activities in the college, such as hiking, gathering, competitions and so on. And what impresses me most is my experience of being a volunteer teacher.

I was a freshman when the School of Foreign Languages organized a voluntary activity which aimed at providing children in poor areas with a better education. As a matter of fact, I did not show any interest in this activity, for I thought that I just wasted my time and energy without getting any pay. But finally I followed the trend and went to the interview for a try. To my surprise, I was eolled as a member of the teaching group. I became quite excited and made up my mind to prepare for the class as well as I could. I read their textbook again and again to make sure that I was familiar with the language points. I really benefit a lot from the unforgettable experience. I realize that money and some material things should not be considered as the most important thing in our life. It is the self-realization that really makes our life meaningful. Although I did not get any material things from this activity, I was very happy for what I did for the children. So I hold that we should not just consider the salary in job-hunting, we should also think about whether the job can bring you spiritual enjoyment or not.

今天我过生日，农历二月二十六，我的生日明明是农历二月二十七，因为那天是星期一，好朋友们没空来给我过生日，所以就提前一天过了，嘻嘻!

一会李玉和爸爸妈妈一起回来了，爸爸从饭店买来了两道菜，还买了一个大大的蛋糕和油炸食品。

我们也玩的有点饿了，马上一窝蜂跑楼上去了，爸爸妈妈正准备饭菜呢，一会儿就做出好几道菜了。终于吃蛋糕了，十几个同学像饿狼似的去抢蛋糕，还没插上蜡烛，就已经快被抢光了，大家都拿着蛋糕去客厅狼吞虎咽的吃了起来，我差点连蛋糕也没有了。我们吃完蛋糕，爸爸妈妈端上来了几道菜，一会儿就被抢的所剩无几了，一会又上来了一盘菜，我们马上集中在这盘菜上，因为这是儿童的巨星：“烧茄子”，我们马上去抢，一个接着一个，根本没有停下来的意思，就像一群饿狼。

一会儿，我们吃饱了，休息了一会儿，就下去玩了，有人滑滑板，还有人滑旱冰，有的还在下面锻炼身体，还有的在下面凑热闹。我们的小区都快成了游乐园，只要外人来了，第一看到的是一群小朋友。

我们玩的正高兴，上面就吃西瓜了，我不想上去，但我口渴了，我就让一个同学带一杯水下来。正在这时，我家邻居于英豪的妈妈回来了，可阿姨没有带钥匙，回不了家了，她就按了我们家的门铃，然后决定把钥匙从6楼扔下来，我们的同学都看尽了这一幕，个我带水的那个同学特别幽默，看见从6楼往下扔钥匙，就想把一杯满满的水从6楼扔下来，他的“死党”告诉他这样会把水弄撒的，如果不是他的“死党”告诉他的话，他就会浪费水喽。

我们一会都上去了，我们还拍了个大合照，不过少了几个人，因为有人要学课外班什么的，所以提前走了，而且，连礼物也有自己的照片，它们就一共有好几张照片呢，它们是：蜡烛10根(我就10岁)，有大的、小的，五花八门;一只翘着尾巴的小海豚;蓝色的水晶许愿瓶;一个树洞形状的小笔筒。

今天早上，我先在家里完成了一点作业，然后就提着礼物兴高采烈地去参加井梓伊的生日了。

As a student ,I don’t have any great event to talk about ,but here I want to share my experience of preparing for the high school entrance examination.

During the first three years of junior school ,we were very happy and free .But we often heard that Grade 4 would be a hell. After the final exam of Grade 3 in June, everything blew onto our faces : teachers’ changing , harder and harder texts , terrible pressure and of course the graduate exam .Where your position was on the listboard became the most important thing in our life .We had to study hard day and night ,always from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. the next day.

But I must say that it’s really an unforgettable memory in my life. Under the pressure we lived our life to the fullest, and enjoyed the true interesting things that we may have never cared before. Grade 4 in junior school was a turning point in my life. My attitude to learning, my world outlook and my philosophy of life all changed. I turned to be positive and strong. I also gained many people’s true & pure friendship, both teachers ’ and classmates’. In some way, I like that kind of life, as it taught me many things I’d never learned before.

Teachers also helped me a lot. I still can’t forget that my history teacher talked to me until 10:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2003, for my application. My head teacher also encouraged me, so did my Chinese teacher. I should say, all my teachers worked very hard and always neglected their sleep and meals. Even if some of them were about 50 and often fell ill, they never left us one day .

The last and greatest challenge was of course the final exam, also my high school entrance exam. I felt very well and comfortable except my chemistry physics exams. The result proved that I couldn’t have done worse in them. But in total, my mark is O.K. So then I became a student in the best high school of Hubei Province.

We, teachers and students, got together in East Lake Hotel on June 4th, 2003. At the moment of saying goodbye, I felt that my time of junior had gone ,and my senior time was coming .

Today, I looked at my graduate photos again ,and ,I smiled .

He once hesitated ,struggled, feared and doubted, like an ordinary man would do. But he just "stays at the door of fate", as the name of his newly-written book says, and waits till the door opens instead of leaving during the half way. It was Sunday. Our teacher Mr Zhu led us to a park nearby.Usually we go to the park to spend our holiday. But today we went there to take part in voluntary labour.

We got there at nine oclock. Mr Zhu divided us into three groups and then we began working.

the students in Group One planted trees and watered flowers. the studentsin Group Two were busy collecting litter left by the tourist. they also cleaned the benches in the park. I was in Group Three. We went to the childrens playground and cleaned all the equipment there. We worked very hard.

Since I went to college, I have made many friends and we shared the same interest. My friends and I liked traveling so much. We decided to travel abroad. The destination was Thailand. We spent ten days there and had a nice trip. It was such an unforgettable trip, and I learned a lot.

I was going to bring these keepsakes for my friends. The last day, we had a good picnic on the seaside with the natives. They acted all kinds of programmes and made us feel happy.

我的生日就在冬天，不知是否是一种巧合，我的生日就如冬天般寒冷。我来自一个离婚家庭，从来，我的生日都是爷爷奶奶陪我过！虽然少不了美味的蛋糕，也有我最爱的薯片，但是，在这样一个值得庆祝的节日里，却找不到爸爸妈妈的身影，那么，就算是再美味的蛋糕，再好吃的零食，也显得美中不足吧！多年来，那每一次冷清的生日我都一一淡忘了！唯独我十岁那一年的生日，却是我终生难忘的......

那一天，虽然是冬天，可我觉得那一天的太阳却是异常的温暖！因为，爸爸妈妈商量好了，今天一定要陪他们的女儿过个生日！那一天中午，我把自己最心爱的“百宝箱”放在客厅的桌子上，里面有我最爱的芭比娃娃，有最耀眼的水晶球，还有我唯一一张和爸爸妈妈一起照的相片......屋顶上的悬挂着五彩缤纷的气球。简直可以跟华丽的宫殿媲美！我头上还戴了一顶刻有白雪公主的皇冠，像宫殿里的公主。还有许许多多的零食,有薯片.糖果.饼干......

看着这些零食，我口水都快流出来了！于是，我“偷”了一个棒棒糖来到阳台外，水灵灵的天空蓝得发亮，太阳冉冉生起，大地金碧辉煌。暖洋洋的阳光洒向大地，小草摆动着自己那柔软的身体，好像在为我祝福生日快乐。花儿也绽开了她那动人的笑容，一阵微风吹来，花儿都散发出了迷人的香味，我感到今天的心情特别的愉悦！

“咚咚咚，咚咚咚”一阵敲门声传来，我马上飞奔过去开门，呵！是爸爸妈妈他们买蛋糕回来了！屋里一阵哄闹！大家就坐了，妈妈小心翼翼地打开了蛋糕盒，是一个精美的巧克力蛋糕！上面还刻着我的名字！爸爸起头唱生日歌，大家也唱了起来，“祝你生日快乐！祝你生日快乐......”那一刻，我流泪了，那不再是伤心的泪！那是幸福的泪！“君君，从小到大，爸爸妈妈总是顾着各自的工作，都没有陪你过一次生日！希望你不要怪爸爸妈妈！”爸爸妈妈异口同声地说。“没关系的！女儿知道你们是因为工作忙才没时间陪我过生日的！其实，有了今天这个生日，我就已经满足了！这将是我一生中最难忘的生日！”爸爸妈妈听了，眼圈也红润了......

就这样，我度过了人生中最难忘的一次生日！妈妈为我拍了张ｄｖ，打那以后，每当我过生日的时候，我就会把那张ｄｖ放来看一遍，因为，它是我人生中最美好的回忆！

We had a good time and it was the best birthday party ever．

Today is my birthday and Im so excited about it.In the morning I put a note on the table for my mum and it said,"Today is my birthday,dont forget it!"At school,I got many gifts and cards for my classmates and had a lot of fun.But I was still expecting the birthday party after school.

When it was time to leave school I couldnt wait to go home.When I open the door,there wasnt anybody in the house.There was only a note that said,"Coming home late tonight,mum and dad."I try to call them but there was no answer.I was so shocked,do they forget my birthday?How could this be!I was so sad that I couldnt eat anything.I just did my homework and waited for them.

And then,things changed completely.It was about time for dinner,my mother called and told me to go to the restanrant near our house.When I got there I couldnt believed my eyes.Everybody was there:my parents,my relatives,my friends and even my classmates.There was so many gifts and a big cake.What a surprising birthday party!

今天早上我一起床，就看见客厅的墙上沾满了气球。我问妈妈：“今天干什么呀?”妈妈说：“今天是你8岁的生日呀!不是说好要开Party庆祝的吗?”我高兴得跳了起来。吃完早饭过了一会儿，我的好朋友们就陆续来到了我家，来参加我的生日party。我们大家一起玩了一上午，到了中午吃饭的时间，我们一起吃了大蛋糕、比萨、水果沙拉、意大利面……这些菜都是我的妈妈和干妈一起做的，非常好吃的，非常美味可口!

难忘的生日聚会 吃完饭，我们又玩了一下午，一直到晚饭前，朋友们才依依不舍的离开了我家。今天我可真开心啊!晚上睡觉的时候我还在想着白天的点点滴滴，在床上翻来覆去，激动得怎么也睡不着。

前几天***邀请我一起去富国海底世界过圣诞节。要第一次自己独立生活一晚，我很兴奋。

放学后，爸爸妈妈开车送我们去了那里。一进门，我们就看到了圣诞老人，他带着我们去了休息厅，在那儿待了一会儿，吃晚饭的时间到了。我第一眼看到的是披萨，非常非常大，有海鲜披萨和水果披萨，大家都很高兴。我们把披萨蘸上番茄酱，有人狼吞虎咽，有人细嚼慢咽，大家都吃得津津有味。

晚饭后，我们回到了休息厅，每人给家人做了一张贺卡，然后去展厅和海底隧道。

在展厅，我们看到了许多新奇的生物，比如，大约六厘米长的鲨鱼，它们很温顺，还有漂亮的水母，它们身体里大约有99%的水。在海底隧道，所有人都非常震惊，那里有很多很多鲨鱼，比如，幼年的护士鲨都比我大，它们成年以后，是我身体的三倍那么大，而且，护士鲨的皮肤能够用来做药材。我们还观看了十分钟的美人鱼表演，美人鱼的上半身是人，下半身是鱼尾，她能自由地在水里游动，还敢触摸鲨鱼。我也不知道是为什么，大家都很安静，可能是被美人鱼的表演迷住了吧！我也很安静，是因为我在认真地看表演。

参观完毕，我们回到休息厅。老师给我们讲解如何使用睡袋，然后，带我们去海底隧道睡觉。用了一些时间，才找到了合适的地方，可是，我很长时间都睡不着，因为***一直在过道里跑来跑去。过了一会儿，他安静下来。我们用手电筒照着海底隧道上方的玻璃观察鱼儿。我还是好长时间都无法入睡，因为我一点儿都没有睡意。过了好久，我才睡着。

李晓明心事重重地独自坐在角落，听着同学们的生日都有爸爸妈妈的陪伴，他失落地把头转向窗外，自言自语道：“我也快过生日了，可是我的爸爸妈妈在外地工作……”说着，他留下了难过的泪水。这话刚好被班里的“顺风耳”王亮听到，他把话传给了班长，班长说：“李晓明愁眉苦脸的样子真让人心疼，我组织大家分工合作，一起为李晓明过一个难忘的生日！”

终于到了李晓明生日的这一天，一放学，同学们都匆匆忙忙地准备着，他们有的径直跑到蛋糕店，做了一个精美的蛋糕，有的来到李晓明家用彩带和气球装扮房屋，还有的为李晓明准备礼物和贺卡。

没过多久，李晓明拖着沉重的步伐，闷闷不乐地推开房门，突然，房间内彩灯亮起，大家齐呼：“晓明生日快乐！”李晓明怔了怔，随即，泪水溢满眼眶，激动地说：“谢谢大家给我过生日，你们是我的同学，更是我的亲人！”

这次难忘的生日让李晓明知道了同学之间的友爱就像一场及时雨，能滋润每个人的心灵。

下课铃响了，我欢快地冲出校门，不料外面正下着蒙蒙细雨。不过这个天气根本没破坏我的心情，因为今天是我的生日！

我兴高采烈地奔回家，满脑子想的都是妈妈做的美味诱人的饭菜。我打开门，没有像我往年生日一样，爸爸妈妈正笑盈盈地给我准备饭菜。我无精打采地放下书包去拿桌上的零食，无意间看见一张小纸条，上面写着：“宝贝女儿，今天爸爸妈妈都要出差，你自己买个蛋糕过生日吧。”瞬间我的心情跌落了谷底，我想爸爸妈妈工作真忙，连我的生日都不回家。正当我这么想着，一阵清脆的敲门声响起，我打开门一看，是妈妈！只见她的头发已被雨淋湿，手里抱着一只蛋糕冲我慈爱地笑着：“宝贝，生日快乐！”我喜出望外地大叫：“妈妈，你怎么来了？”妈妈进屋放下蛋糕，并用充满歉意的眼神看着我：“我们不放心你，但爸爸妈妈都要出差，你在家要乖乖听话，生日只能你自己过了。”妈妈说完，轻轻地吻了我一下就赶去了机场，我望着妈妈渐渐模糊的身影久久不愿进屋……

这次的生日是难忘的，虽然只有我一个人，但我相信爸爸妈妈在出差时一定会记得我的生日，他们对我的的爱也一直都在。

暑假里的一天,我去老师家学习。

我来时同学们已经差不多到齐了，这时只见张丽媛同学提着一盒蛋糕笑容满面的走了进来。而且蛋糕还是安德鲁森的，同学们个个流着口水问：“今天是谁过生日呀？”“你们猜猜看。” 张丽媛说。“是不是老师？”“是不是……”“张丽媛别卖关子了吧！说出来让大家听听吧！”张丽媛笑着说：“今天是我的生日，大家一起来吃蛋糕吧。”这时大家议论了起来：“它是奶油的还是水果的，是巧克力的还是冰淇淋的？”这时老师神秘的说：“你们先别想着吃，我先讲一个故事。每年你们过生日都过的开开心心，快快乐乐，可是你们有没有想过，几年前的今天，你们的妈妈是怎么把你们生下来的？台湾的小朋友过生日都要跪在妈妈面前不停的说‘妈妈感谢您给了我生命，把我带到了这个美丽的世界。’他们还要把自己切下的最大的蛋糕亲手送给妈妈。”

听着听着，有些同学的眼睛里有了闪烁的泪花，我也陷入了沉思：明年我的生日应该是这么过的，给妈妈吃蛋糕，帮妈妈做事情，给妈妈揉腿……

开始切蛋糕了,“不对！应该先点蜡烛在许愿！”一个同学说到。我们拉上了窗帘，点上了蜡烛，唱了生日歌，我们切了蛋糕吃了起来，我突然感觉这个蛋糕比以前吃的甜美多了。因为我明白了一个深奥的道理：我们出生的那一天是母难日，而生日的几年前就是母难日，我们应该要给妈妈一份美好的主父，不能只知道自己玩。

An Unforgettable Day

August 5 was a special day. It was my eighteenth birthday, on the way to become an adult. I didn’t go out with my relatives as usual, I went to Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Building to experience how an editor of Zhejiang Online Website worked. In the morning, we visited many offices, chatted with Wang Zhidong, the former CEO of Sina, and we tried to edit a report and send it to the Internet. We also had a debate about whether kids’being on-line was good. I stood on the positive side. That was, we should get on-line, to learn, to relax, to shop, to play, to make friends, and to name just a few. We took some pictures to accept as a souvenir. We had lunch there and watched movies afterwards. Spiderman II was truly realistic. We were fascinated by the cool actions, scared by the ugly beast,and encouraged by the brave hero. Then we saw part of Detective Conan, a Japanese cartoon film. In the afternoon, we took a bus to a building where the governors worked to interview a grandpa, who used to work for the young generation.

He is kind, and healthy, though he is over eighty. He loves working, especially working for the youth. He feels more energetic as he talks with kids. At last, he asked us to sing a song for him. We sent a boy on behalf of us all to sing a happy song. He didn’t disappoint us, making everyone present laugh for a while. When the interview ended, we headed back to the newspaper office.The leader handed each of us a diploma and the photos we took that morning. Good time passed quickly. We said good-bye to each other, and then we parted. Yeah, we’ve become friends though we haven’t known each other very long.

In a word, that was a meaningful enjoyable day. I really had great fun.
