celebration of Fathers Day was Mrs Sonora Smart Dodd, born in Creston,

Washington. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, as a single

parent raised his six children in Spokane, Washington. She was inspired by Anna

Jarviss efforts to establish Mothers Day. Although she initially suggested

June 5, the anniversary of her fathers death, she did not provide the

organizers with enough time to make arrangements, and the celebration was

deferred to the third Sunday of June. The first Fathers Day was celebrated on

June 19, 1910, in Spokane.

Unofficial support from such figures as William Jennings Bryan was

immediate and widespread. President Woodrow Wilson was personally feted by his

family in 1916. President Calvin Coolidge recommended it as a national holiday

in 1924. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson made Fathers Day a holiday to be

celebrated on the third Sunday of June. The holiday was not officially

recognized until 1972, during the presidency of Richard Nixon.

今天是我们军训的最后一天，也是我们会操表演的日子，学校领导都要来检验我们的军训成果。

Last summer, intolerable heat, so mom and Dad brought our family went to see the ice sculpture museum.

As soon as we walked into the ice sculpture museum, we felt the chill of the inside, and I knew it was only minus six degrees Celsius. Were just like going into a big fridge. 第一天的军训日记怎么说呢累成了今天军训的主色调，像今天的训练科目之一，站军姿，看起来挺简单的事儿。可是做起来就能要人命。一动不动地在滚烫的水泥地一站就是几十分钟，这样教官还说他们那是一站就是两个小时，没法跟他们比，训练结束后。大家吃饭也成了问题，不是大家不饿。而是吃不进去，饭是少吃，可是饮水量是大大地提高了，可能是训练太累流汗太多的原因。晚上八点多，辅导员开完班会，大家就迅速赶回寝室，洗完澡。准备上床睡觉。晚上十一点，大家的呼声中我们结束了第一天的军训。

虽然今天的训练很累，看我还是有所收获的。作为一名大学生，我们不用像屠洪纲歌中唱到的一样。站似似一棵松。坐似一座钟，倒是一张弓。我希望这次军训我能有更大的收获和体验。

很久很久以前,人们在某座山的山顶上用块巨石雕刻了一樽佛像,佛像成型后,四面八方的人赶来膜拜。后来,为了膜拜的方便,人们又用这座山上的石头敲打成一片片的阶梯，铺成了上山的路……日复一日，年复一年，突然有一天，石阶不满地对佛像开口了：“我们同样是这个山体的山石，为什么我们是用来被人们践踏的，而你却是被人们膜拜的?”佛像瞥了一眼石阶，淡淡地说：“你们每一片都只经四刀的雕刻就成型了，而我却是经受了千锤百炼后才成型的，人们该膜拜的当然是我，而不是你们了……”

fell down as soon as I got in. Today I didnt know why my two feet were out of
