I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome, but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in our class at that time. 我狼吞虎咽地嚼着可口的饭菜，有好几个月没吃到这种柴火烧的菜和木桶蒸的饭。看着桌上色香味俱全的饭菜，恨不得一口全都吃了。“最近听说你学习挺不错的，说来听听”，“嗯，是可以，毕业考年段第六，市里排第四十名，不过真正要看的是初中了”“孩子，要认真学习，考个班上前三名回来，外婆会很高兴的”“好了，好了，我知道，你起码讲十次了”。说实话，对这类话语，我是听惯了，听多了，我很讨厌听人唠叨，在我看来，这或许是一种折磨，是一种空耗时间的行为。

今天就是英语外研比赛的日子了，我被安排在下午2.30那场，老妈的单位离考场比较近，上午我便跟她去单位值班。

我在老妈的办公室里，一直都在背稿，时间过得很快，稿纸在我的手中不停地抖动，说好的不紧张呢?

简单吃了点饭，老妈看我这副状态，她提议说，咱们提前溜达着去吧，就当散散步。

午后的街道有些冷清，看到不错的景致，老妈竟不忘给我拍张照片啥的，她可真有兴致。不觉中就来到了“宝睿国际未来小学”门口，我们是下午考生中来得最早的。

等了好久一些家长才陪着孩子到来，有接待老师把我们安排在家长等候区，并给选手们讲了些注意事项，接着老师又读了考场名单，我被安排在第三考场。

这是初赛，演讲的内容是自我介绍加才艺表演。我看到有的选手准备得真棒!不光自己化了淡妆，还梳了很复杂很漂亮的辫子，有的还穿了美丽的裙子。有不少同学手里拿了画板，上面是他们精心绘制的图画，他们边指着自己的画边小声念着英语，看来他们的才艺表演一定是用英语介绍自己的画了。而我的才艺显得多么的微不足道，我只打算读一首英文小诗。

上午考完的同学在群里发来信息，他们说很简单，评委主要看你的口语能力，觉得背不好的，也可以直接读，我终于有了一些安心。

马上就轮到我了，听到老师念我名字，稿子在我手中抖的更厉害了。原来考场里只有三位评委老师，但其中有一位外国人。我的心开始咚咚跳个不停，手心也开始冒汗。我刚说一句“Hello everyone.”，三位评委老师便微笑着向我点头示意。他们这一微笑，我反而不自在的很，我僵硬的站在他们面前，机械地象在用英文诵经一般，我甚至听到自己的声音就象一只大苍蝇在我周围嗡嗡着飞，它飞飞停停，停停飞飞，可恶极了。我发现三位评委老师都在低着头，记录着什么，也不知他们听清了这“嗡嗡”声没有。自我介绍环节很快就完了，我看没人看我，便拿出稿子，直接读那首“四季”的小诗。依然没人看我，平时读得一点问题都没有，此时竟卡了好几下，自己都觉得糟糕透顶。

三分钟终于结束了，我向三位评委鞠了躬说了“thank you”之后，心情才平静下来。

因为我是最后一场，所以，我来到家长区没多久，就有老师进来，当场宣布进入复赛的同学名单了。老师神采飞扬，声音洪亮，她说：“非常高兴地通知大家，祝贺以下进入复赛的同学，读到名字的同学也请家长一起上台!”

接着老师便念“张三，李四”，没有我的名字!

我沮丧极了，连为大家鼓掌的力气都没有了。

也许从我站到台上的那一刻就被评委老师“秒杀”掉了。老妈反倒安慰我说：“你在这里登过台，已经很棒了。但一定记住，台上一分钟，台下十年功啊。”

是的，通过参加这次比赛，我也找到了自己努力的方向。

路过一家烘焙店，我说：“老妈，给我买点吃的吧，我要化悲痛为力量!”

I have had a dream since my boyhood. I want very much to be a doctor.

I want to be a doctor because doctors can cure patients and thus make people healthy and happy. Doctors can offer their help to the poor people so that more people can get medical help.

If I were a doctor, the more patients I cured, the happier I will feel. That is the very reason I want to become a doctor.

I like Yao Ming very much who is the idol I like most.

I like playing basketball and in my opinion, he is the best basketball

player in China. When he started to play basketball in NBA, I was so excited

What’s more, his personalities attract me as well. He is kind-hearted and

When we are children, there are lots of people ask about our dreams, and

our answers most are doctors, policemen, teachers etc. But when we grow up, we

have to face the reality, not everyone would realize childhood dreams, and some

of these dreams even are unrealistic which will never be able to achieve.

Therefore, we need correctly treat the relationship between dream and

reality.

First of all, dream is the spiritual power to encourage people progress.

Napoleon once said: “He is a bad soldier who doesnt dream of becoming a

general”. In the process of growing up, we must want to give up our purpose when

encounter difficulties, and at the moment, dreams would be the power for us to

insist on.

Second, reality is a reflection of the real environment. Many people think

dream is heaven, and reality is hell, but in my opinion, reality is a

double-edged sword which makes us keep a sense of crisis. When young people

addicted to the unpractical dreams, reality would awaken them which would avoid

them make wrong judgment.

In my opinion, both dream and reality are important, young people cant

ignore one of them. The most critical thing in life is using positive attitude

我的第一个初中寒假

只要一听到“寒假”二字，我就很兴奋，特别是这学期之后的寒假，要知道，它可是我中学时代的第一个寒假呀!从现在起，我就认真的筹划一番，既要得到充分的休息，也要利用它来好好地充实自己。 首先，我要在温暖的被窝里酣睡。俗话说，人不睡，就乏困。上学时，每天早出晚归，天不亮就起床，天天乏困。课堂上我老打瞌睡，老师、同学都说我快成瞌睡虫了。没办法，等熬过了这几天，我就足足睡它个三天三夜不睁眼。睡足之后，就开始我的第二项计划：学英语。 学英语，可是我这个寒假的“重头戏”。

前两天，我在报纸上看到这样一则消息，说有一位70多岁的老大爷，在中国胜利申办奥运会之后，就一直苦学外语，现在已能说一口流利的英语了。我看了特感动，我也准备学一口流利的英语，争取早点成为一个小小“英语通”。为此，在寒假里，我要认真地学语法，掌握1000个以上的单词，坚持阅读简单的英文作品。同时，也要多听英语磁带，练习日常会话，提高口语表达能力，为2008年进京当个义务小导游打下基础。除了苦学英语，我还要利用寒假大饱眼福，阅读一些文学名著，如《格林童话》《童年》《西游记》《哈利●波特》等。在这个寒假，我也会遨游在文学的海洋中。当然，寒假中还有我们中国人民的传统节日——春节。今年的春节。我要同爸爸妈妈一起回老家陪爷爷奶奶过年。我要用这学期节省下来的零花前给爷爷买一瓶好酒，给奶奶买一双温暖的棉鞋，向他们表达我的一点点孝心。在这个寒假，我打算做的事还有许多许多，我要充分地利用它，合理地支配它，使我的寒假生活过得充实而有意义。

Most people in China like playing sports, because it’s a good way to keep

healthy.

In big cities, people play many kinds of sports. The old people always get

up early to play Talchi or go for a walk. The middle-aged people often dance

together in squares in the evening, which has become a tradition. While the

young like going swimming in summer and go skating in winter.
