From the sixteenth of January to the seventh of February is our Winter Holiday. I think everybody did a lot of things in the Winter Holiday. But I didn’t. Let you to listen to my story of Winter Holiday.

I spend a lot of time on the homework.. Every day in my Winter Holiday, I always got up late. then I listened to the tape, it was nine o’clock. then I ate breakfast and then I did my homework during the daytime! I’m not very slow but the homework was too heavy!

I’m unlucky on the playing too. I played firecracker but I hurt my finger with the fire. I ‘m careless to kindle the firecracker, so I’m very unlucky.

I still unlucky on my friend’s party. In the morning, I wanted to get up early but I woke up at 10:50. After ten minutes, the party would start! So I only eat a piece of bread then I go to my friend’s home! And I stay at his home for a long time when I came home. My mother and father were very angry and they scolded me!

I’m worried and feel unlucky on my weigh. Last term, I was 48 kilogram but now I am 51 kilogram! I must to do banting!

But most important, I have gone to Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, I want to go there very much because I want to see the horse, the monkey……in the sea. Now I’ve done it . It is a bright dot in my Winter Holiday.

“过年了！过年了！……”伴随着这欢天喜地的声音，春节在大家的翘首期盼中降临了，鼠年的结尾，迎来了它的新朋友牛年，让我们共同欢送那2008年，共同迎接这2009年吧！

渐渐地到了晚上8点，09年的春节联欢晚会将要开始了。我们就便各自回家，坐在电视机旁津津有味地看着那精彩的节目。最精彩的要属刘谦的魔术了。他尽然可以把硬币从手中变到封闭的水杯中；更精彩的是，居然可以把戒指从手中变到完整的鸡蛋中，太不可思议了。随着欢声笑语，嘻嘻闹闹，不知不觉的晚会已接近尾声，

十二点的钟声敲响了。所有的大街小巷，都放起了鞭炮来。“嗵啪”又是两声“天地响”现在可热闹了。响亮的，清脆的声音，还有那闪闪烟花激起了我们小孩子的兴趣。于是我们又拿着我们心爱的烟花玩了起来。“噼噼啪啪”多么悦耳的鞭炮声啊！估计过了一个小时左右，鞭炮声渐渐减弱了。

我们也都陆续地回家了，我一看手机，已经1点半了，然而却没有一点睡意。我站在窗前向外望去，啊！大街小巷灯火通明，要照平时来看早已是夜深人静了，这是一个多么不平凡的夜晚啊，一年才有一次，我永远不会忘记。

I went to three cities to play during last summer holidays. They are

Beijing, Dalian and HuHehot.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China.

It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty

minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in

Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer

Palace, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, the Space Museum, etc. I went to the

countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I

went shopping in WangFuJing. I bought lots of souvenirs and other things. I like

eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. Don’t mithe Beijing Duck. It is

really nice.

Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes

on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The

roads are clean. There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads. There are

many esplanades and Japanese buildings. There are some fountains in one of the

esplanades. Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades. We went to see

the beach and the sea. The sea is blue. There were many swimmers in the sea. I

lay on the beach to see the sky.Dalian is a very nice place to live.

Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The

grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and

sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the graland. I

picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small

desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.

These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.

Chinese people usually have two word or three word names: the family name, a middle name and the last name.中国人的名字通常由两个字或三个字组成：姓，中间名和最后名。

Family names always come tirst.For example, my full name is Bai Junwei.Bai is my family name. Junwei is my given name.But some Chinese people dont have the middle name. Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reservoirs out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. My uncle has been in America for quite a few years. He used to live in Pudong. He wanted to come back to his homeland very much. Last summer he came to Shanghai and I took him to visit Pudong. Huang yixuan is my best friend. She is lovely. She is as tall as me. She

has a black long hair. Her round face is always red, just like an apple. She

likes smile. She like study, but doesnt like sports. She enjoys fishing.

Sometimes she will ask me to go with her and her dad to fishing. Her favorite

color is blue. So do I. she is good at playing piano. She is a perfect girl in

Tom is my best friend. Who is he? He is a dog. He is a special dog. My

our monitor set a good example for us. Though he was ill, he worked harder. When

Mike is bad at English. Yesterday, he had an English test. He failed again.

He dared not tell his mother the low marks. On his way home, it rained heavily.
