4月21日星期六，三里屯街道团工委积极配合团区委在“世界地球日”来临之际，开展“保护生态环境，创造绿色家园”环保系列活动。街道团工委积极协调落实活动场地，当天上、下午分别两场宣传活动，地点定在三里屯世茂百货广场。世茂百货对此次活动给予了大力支持，积极提供桌椅、电源、秩序维护等服务。

当天上午，由朝阳阳光伙伴――甲骨文公司志愿者开展环保宣传活动。街道团工委书记积极帮助他们一起布置宣传点环境和用品，并发动周边居民积极参与活动。志愿者们身着统一服装，向过往居民宣讲环保知识，开展环保知识答题活动，对答对的群众给予奖励，发放环保购物袋。过往的居民和群众参与活动热情高，仅一个多小时，1000个折叠式环保购物袋就发放完毕，出乎志愿者们的意料。

当天下午，是由首都师范大学的大学生志愿者们开展“2012?从xin开始”为主题的环保活动。为保障场地的交接与正常使用，街道团工委书记又积极协调联系世茂百货的领导，从中午12点多开始布置宣传场地，指导大学生志愿们布置展板、横幅、门旗、物品的摆放地点。活动开始，大学生志愿们身着与活动主题一致的t恤，积极向过往居民群众对照宣传板宣讲环保知识，主动地邀请居民书写环保感言、贴到环保树展板上，并签名承诺践行绿色环保行动;大学生志愿们还开展“世界地理杂志”等环保书刊的义卖活动，并向居民群众发放环保购物袋，活动吸引了大量过往群众驻足参与。
