This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

How time flies!The first half semester is over。Looking back,I have achieved much over the term.I have learned how to play football.I have made many good new friends in school.But my biggest gain is that I have improved my English a lot.I can get an A in the English exam now.Whats more,I can speak with others in English fluently.That makes me very happy.

“正月十五闹元宵”，每年春节过后的农历正月十五是我国的元宵节，又叫“灯节”和“上元节”，是中国自古以来就在民间流传的另一个已有2000多年历史的传统佳节。

元宵节起源于西汉王朝。相传汉惠帝死后飞扬跋扈的吕后篡权，任用了大量吕氏亲信，宦官当权。吕后死后，公元前179年，汉文帝在老忠臣协助下登基，博采众议，在正月十五这天，一举扫除了诸吕残余势力。因古代“夜”与“宵”同义。正月又叫“元月”，为了纪念正月十五这一天，汉文帝就将此日定为“元宵节”。从此，经隋至唐，到唐玄宗李隆基时，为显示大唐兴盛，国泰民安，逐沿用旧俗，每到“元宵节”这天，张灯结彩，欢庆狂欢，“一曲笙歌春如海，千门灯火夜似昼”，使这一节日更加兴盛。

节日期间，灯月交辉，游人如织，正如唐代诗人张说所描绘的：“花萼楼前雨露新，长安城里太平人。龙衔火树千灯焰，鸡踏莲花万岁春”。李商隐的诗曰：“月色灯光满帝城，香车宝辇溢通衢”，描绘了当时观灯时车水马龙的宏大场面。流传到宋代，在元宵之夜悬灯欢乐的规模更加盛况空前，花灯的装饰造型也更精美，灯节带给人们更多欢乐，更多光明。诗人苏东坡有诗云：“灯光家之有，笙歌处之楼”;大词人辛弃疾也曾有著名词作：“东风夜放花千树，更吹落，星如雨。宝马雕车香满路。风箫声动，玉壶光转，一夜鱼龙舞。”这些诗词描绘了当时元宵佳节满城花灯齐放，通宵达旦，歌舞笙乐的壮观场面。到了清代，据《京都风俗志》记载：清代太平年间每年元宵节都是：“通街委巷，灯光星布珠悬，皎如白昼”，“王孙贵客、士女儿童，倾城出游，谓之逛灯”，由此可见元宵节观灯的热闹场面。

到近代，这一习俗代代流传，至今仍经久不衰。老百姓家家户户都在门前和屋内悬挂彩灯、大红灯笼，全家团圆，围坐一起，观花赏灯吃元宵，象征着“团圆美满，丰收和睦”，同时这一天还标志着是春节欢乐的最后一幕，热热闹闹过完了“元宵节”，才算是真正过完了春节。

宋代诗人欧阳修诗曰：“去年元宵时，花市灯如昼。月上柳梢头，人约黄昏后。”说明在这灯好月明人团圆的喜庆佳节里，亲朋好友相约团聚，早已是民间庆春节的重要习俗。如果在团聚时捧去一把鲜花，携带上一个花篮，让美丽娇艳的鲜花送来一个吉祥幸福的欢乐好运，会给朋友相聚增添无比欢乐的心情，这时应该选用寓意团团美美、如意祥瑞的花材，如火红的火鹤花、满枝悬挂形似红爆竹的炮仗花、鲜艳的孔雀草、象征明媚春天光明的银芽柳、闪烁洁白繁星的满天星等，都会展现出一片祥和安乐的氛围，为亲朋好友送去一年吉祥幸福的祝愿。

因为人的记忆力有选择啊，有的人天生对语言天生敏感，所以记得就快，有的人对历史敏感，记忆历史就比别人快。所以人的记忆力不能一概而论，这是我多年学习的经验，和个人理解。

第一，你不要把英语单词当成中文的象形文字来记，中文的记忆有形象关系，但是单词时无意义的字母排序，背得时候一定要理解英语的发音规律，先要记没个单词的发音，有的发音如tioneror什么的你一定发现了几个字母组合法特定的音，按发音记！

有时候宁肯先记发音！

因为有时候，你甚至能根据发音，你自己就能写出来，何必要背。其实英语的字母单词，不是很规律的，不想拼音的，但还是有一定的规律。

其实背英语单词，不能死记是真的，但是一定要持之以恒，首先要有心理准备，要有自信。

你背英语单词的时候可以边默读便用笔在一张纸上写，就是随便写一些，主要是加深印象。

我的习惯是第一次背时先写5遍/单词，隔天写3遍/单词。过一段时间再重复。这样记虽然慢，但是很扎实。

而且还要注意，背单词应该背词典，就是你背一个词的形式，比如名词，最好翻阅词典，把其他的形式也给背过。这样看起来，似乎比较费脑子，实际上我认为，这样无形中很快，因为你背单词就是要用在阅读上，这样背的话既实用又能无形中体会出英语的变形规律，以后就会背的很快乐。

英语背单词，实际取决于你已经背的单词量。

不是英语专业的人，但是愿意分享我的经验，希望你能背得越来越轻松。

After going to the middle school, I have less time to play outside the school, because I always have a lot of homework to do. Though my leisure time is shorter, I still keep on after-class reading. Many years ago, my Chinese teacher introduced many classic books to us, I bought them and read them all, I fell in love with reading these books, I would be immerged in the stories. Reading these books helps me a lot, I have improved my writing skill. When I saw the topics, my mind will come out a lot of ideas, I have things to enrich my paper. Whats more, I also broaden my vision.

Last week, our school was holding the sport meeting, I felt so excited, because I took part in the 800 meter race. When I heard the shot voice, I started to run, at first, I kept the uniform space, I planned to run quickly in the last 200 meter. But I felt so tired, I wanted to give up, then my desire to win made me stick to the end. I am so proud of myself.

上周，我们学校举行了校运会，我感到很激动，因为我参加了800米竞跑。当我听到开跑声音的时候，我开始跑，刚开始，我保持匀速，我计划在最后200米快速跑。但是我感到很累，想要放弃，然后我的求胜欲望使我坚持到了最后。我为自己感到自豪。

My mother is a good woman. She is very good for me. Everyday she gives me a good breakfast. Then we go to my school, when I go to my class, she goes to work.
