The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel but what this aloof society lacks and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care.

Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth which was carved into my heart deeply.

Mr. Brownlow is one such person.

The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves Artful Dodger and Charley Bates and thought naturally it was Oliver who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.

Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Then I realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs. In most cases what you believe is what you’ll become. Believe that you are unlimited that you can do anything you commit to doing and when you do your accomplishments will know no bounds. You control your beliefs and that is how you ultimately control your life. It’s all dictated by your attitude.

In the final analysis love and care contain numerous forms there are love of forgiveness love of trust etc. but they all come from your beliefs in life. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The second scene is Xu hit his son Denis because Denis hit the son of xu’s boss, at the middle of the film xu tells his boss that he hit his own son is only to show his respect to his boss John Quinlan, that time Quinlan feels puzzled “what a Chinese logic”， yes, American can never understand such a logic full of Chinese characteristic, because they respect everyone including the children, they won’t beat a child to please the boss, and there is no such a conception of degree between employee and employer, they feel everyone is equal, which is quite different from china.

Connected to the second scene, the third difference I want to analyze is the care for the children. And Children Welfare Agency does work in America which shows the importance Americans attach to children’s right. What’s more, I remember a line ‘No one won the case, especially the child.’ In my opinion, it also manifests the universal concern from the American public to the children.

The fourth aspect is following the procedure, in the film, more than there times, the people focus on the rule, the law, the procedure. At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

说道《傲慢与偏见》这本书，我早已被它的题目所吸引，我的脑海闪过一个念头：傲慢与偏见，不错嘛!应该挺好看吧。看完后果然没有令我失望，使我明白了一些为人处世的方法与技巧：不要太相信第一次的直觉，有些人，要长久相处才能真正彼此了解。

小说主要写了伊丽莎白和达西的爱情波折，也次写了简与宾利的爱情。我觉得这部小说最主要的是折射出当时英国绅士们的狂妄自大，及对那些爱攀权势的人的强烈讽刺。像班纳特太太这种唯利是图的人，总想着将自己的女儿嫁给有钱人，她是当时腐败贵族的一个鲜明代表。伊丽莎白自尊、简朴、不追求奢侈的富贵令我佩服。

达西虽然开始时待人很傲慢无礼，但他在多次向伊丽莎白求爱失败后能反省自己，变得热心助人，令伊丽莎白另眼相看，在得知丽迪雅随身负累累赌债的威翰私奔了，伊丽莎本以为达西会瞧不起自己，想不到达西不仅替威翰还清赌债，还给了他一笔巨款，让他与丽迪雅完婚，最终对伊丽莎白的求婚成功了。达西知错能改、热心助人的性格是十分值得我们学习的。

事实上，在我们生活中，也存在许多傲慢与偏见的例子：富人对穷人的歧视与穷人对富人的偏见、知识人才对文盲的鄙视与文盲的愤愤不平、人与人之间的妒忌成恨。其实，我们每个人都是平等的，有钱的应努力去为这社会贡献，而不是高高在上目中无人，没钱的也不必自卑，应该去追求知识致富，不卑不亢、落落大方，这样的社会，利你利我利大家，何乐而不为呢?

课堂是学生获得语言知识，提高语言技能和培养语言交际能力的主要场所，因而使得教师的语言成为课堂教学的工具，又是学生学习的内容。而我们作为英语老师，感知身上压力更大。因为英语对我们来说比较是非母语，怎样才能在课堂中更准确，更流利，更自信地表达自己的想法呢?这一直是我们需要改进提高的部分——教师课堂用语。这本书的出现，真的是能使我们在短期能迅速提高，有据可依的范本。

看了这本书中针对各种情况下的课堂用语，简明扼要而且用多种句子表达相同或相近的一个指令，真的非常值得我们借鉴学习，越细细地去阅读这本书，越开始对自己的课堂用语进行反思。

在课堂用语的表达中，常常存在一些问题。比如，在课堂中往往表达比较随意，用语不够规范。再则，表达时词汇单调，显得乏味，不能给学生很好的丰富语言的范例。久而久之，对于学生能力的提升没有正面的帮助。正因为知道教师课堂语言的重要性，如何在这方面得以改进提高，是非常重要的!

那往往哪些因素在影响着我们教师的语言呢?首先由于教师采用的教学方法不同，每位老师的教育背景和教育理念不同，采用的教学方式也各异，因而呈现出的教学用语也不一样。其次，教师的性格，教师的情感也起到一定影响。再则，学生英语程度的高低，也会影响教师课堂用语所花时间的长短。

怎样可以帮助自己提高这方面的能力呢?首先，还是要规范自己的英语表达，先做到正确无误，不能有中式英语。尽量避免受母语的影响，在表达时，句式，语法要多吸收纯正的英语表达，使自己在课堂中能流利地表达自己的想法。

其次，要深入浅出，根据学生的年龄和知识特点，选择适合他们层次水平的语言，但要略高于学生的水平，这样有利于提高学生的能力。逐渐乃至全部使用英语去讲解新学的词汇，句子等等，让学生使用英语的能力得到提升。挖掘教材中隐性的一些话题，让学生拓展思维，去进行互动交流。

再则，教师语言要生动风趣，幽默灵活。这样的课堂，教师往往能利用自己的教育机智，让课堂变得更加活跃，消除学生的紧张情绪，创造更好的语言交流氛围。

然后，教学语言也可和板书，肢体语言相配合。让课堂中的表达更丰富，让学生更显而易见地明了自己的表达，更容易地互相交流。

接着，尽量用“积极语言”代替“消极语言”，给学生更多的鼓励与肯定，培养学生的学习积极性。每一个人都有自卑的心理，尤其是学生在回答后，如果给他太直接的否定的答案，可能会使他产生消极的学习情绪，换种表达，可能对学生来说，有意想不到的效果。

作为英语老师，我们的语言真的非常重要，相信我们多些学习，更关注下自己的课堂用语，对学生的学习起到积极的正面作用，相信他们也会更爱学英语。

小说在人物塑造方面采取的是单性描述，并不是多重矛盾性格的复杂描述，“一就永远是一”.吉英小姐单纯善良，一个贤良淑德形象，永远不会认为想到某人某事的阴暗面;伊丽莎白聪明活泼又独立，一个智慧女人形象，永远有自我的想法和原则;曼丽虽说描述不多，但其学术才女的形象跃然纸上，一切都是从书上得来的东西来解释生活;吉蒂和莉迪雅小姐是未成年，自有一种幼稚的疯狂女生特质。这五个女儿的形象如此，而其他人也是描述得极为成功的，虽然免不了有种单调的感觉，甚至于就整个故事情节来说，也比较直接，没有九曲回肠的曲折美，但这也或许就是奥斯汀本小说的特色吧。

达西对于伊丽莎白的傲慢，导致了伊丽莎白对达西的偏见。错的本不是他们。伊丽莎白本来并不是一个会随便看轻别人的人，也不是一个会随便相信别人片面之词的人，但因为达西的傲慢态度，才让伊丽莎白相信了威克汉姆的话，对达西产生了偏见。同样，达西因为后来伊丽莎白对他的拒绝中，他认清了因为自己态度的问题，导致伊莉莎白没有接受他的爱意，他改正了。他对他舅母的温文尔雅的态度，不凡的谈吐，彬彬有礼彻底打动了伊丽莎白，最后两人终于是有情人终成眷属。这让我有深刻的体会：要充分地了解一个人，不能单凭第一印象，也不能在评价一个人时，加过多的主观色彩，只有时间才能帮助我们了解。

这让我想到了生活中的孩子们，有时我们会觉得他们顽皮、无理取闹，并且以成人的眼光，给他做出判定，认定他是不乖的孩子或是烦人的孩子。但是其实从另一个角度来说，当我们抛开这些先入为主的印象，好好地去跟他们交流后，会发现其实他们的想法很简单。有时只是想通过这种方式来引起我们的注意。因此，当我们接受了这种设定，并给孩子正确地引导时，他们也会更愿意亲近我们，自然会想出各种方法来讨好我们，这样也就交流得更融洽了。就好像我们自身，当我们没有完全信任对方时，我们也不会放开展现出真实的自己。

傲慢与偏见，是我们很常见的弱点和毛病。每一个人其实都很容易被自己的主观印象所驱使，因而容易对别的人下不正确的注解，进而造成了彼此之间的误会。一个人所给予的第一印象固然可以影响到很多事，但并非一定不会改变，要有更加深入的了解，才能有更客观一点的论点，就好像故事中女主角对达西的看法，就是因为了解才有所改变。生活需要了解和沟通，只有在彼此了解的基础上才能给一个人下定论。

Published in 1847, Wuthering Heights was not well received by the reading public, many of whom condemned it as sordid, vulgar, and unnatural--and author Emily Bronte went to her grave in 1848 believing that her only novel was a failure. It was not until 1850, when Wuthering Heights received a second printing with an introduction by Emilys sister Charlotte, that it attracted a wide readership. And from that point the reputation of the book has never looked back. Today it is widely recognized as one of the GREat novels of English literature.

Even so, Wuthering Heights continues to divide readers. It is not a pretty love story; rather, it is swirling tale of largely unlikeable people caught up in obsessive love that turns to dark madness. It is cruel, violent, dark and brooding, and many people find it extremely unpleasant. And yet--it possesses a grandeur of language and design, a sense of tremendous pity and GREat loss that sets it apart from virtually every other novel written.

The novel is told in the form of an extended FLASHback. After a visit to his strange landlord, a newcomer to the area desires to know the history of the family--which he receives from Nelly Deans, a servant who introduces us to the Earnshaw family who once resided in the house known as Wuthering Heights. It was once a cheerful place, but Old Earnshaw adopted a "Gipsy" child who he named Heathcliff. And Catherine, daughter of the house, found in him the perfect companion: wild, rude, and as proud and cruel as she. But although Catherine loves him, even recognizes him as her soulmate, she cannot lower herself to marry so far below her social station. She instead marries another, and in so doing sets in motion an obsession that will destroy them all.

Wuthering Heights is a bit difficult to "get into;" the opening chapters are so dark in their portrait of the end result of this obsessive love that they are somewhat off-putting. But they feed into the flow of the work in a remarkable way, setting the stage for one of the most remarkable structures in all of literature, a story that circles upon itself in a series of repetitions as it plays out across two generations. Catherine and Heathcliff are equally remarkable, both vicious and cruel, and yet never able to shed their impossible love no matter how brutally one may wound the other.

As the novel coils further into alcoholism, seduction, and one of the most elaborately imagined plans of revenge it gathers into a ghostly tone: Heathcliff, driven to madness by a woman who is not there but who seems reflected in every part of his world--dragging her corpse from the grave, hearing her calling to him from the moors, escalating his brutality not for the sake of brutality but so that her memory will never fade, so that she may never leave his mind until death itself. Yes, this is madness, insanity, and there is no peace this side of the grave or even beyond.

It is a stunning novel, frightening, inexorable, unsettling, filled with unbridled passion that makes one cringe. Even if you do not like it, you should read it at least once--and those who do like it will return to it again and again.
