It is my great honor to interview Flor and introduce her to you all. She is a charming and expressive girl with brightly voluminous eyes, which always sparkle with wisdom. Besides, she has a pretty name, Flor Alba Rocha Vorgas. Flor is the short form of flower in her native language, and Alba means sunrise while Rocha Vorgas is a combination of her father’s and mother’s family name. Meanwhile, Flor speaks Spanish as her native language and she is capable of speaking French and English as well. Coming from Bogota, the capital of Colombia, she regards Monserrate, located on the peak of a small mountain, as her favorite part about her home city. According to what she describes, the mountain where Monserrate is situated lies on the east of Bogota, and it takes you approximately an hour to climb from the foot to the top while just around fifteen minutes to get there by cableway. Moreover, there is no denying the fact that you are bond to fulfill your eyesight with the amazing overlook of the whole city as long as you stand there.

When it comes to her own experience, she takes pride in graduating from one of the best law schools in Colombia. I am sure that Flor has been an assiduous and sagacious student in her school, because she is so outstanding that starts to work as a lawyer just three months after graduation, doing some research for the government on the Internet. Currently, she is studying English in New York, renting house from a Colombian family in East Elmhurst with her roommate. As a result of being an only child in her traditional family, Flor has been cherished as the most valuable treasure in the solar system all the time, which somewhat limits her independence. 我生长在一个幸福的家庭里，我很自豪。我拥有一对勤劳、纯朴的父母，爷爷、奶奶都健在。爷爷是一名退役多年的海军，我一直很佩服他那健壮的身体。在两年前的某一天，爷爷身体出现了一些毛病，本以为是老人家都有的“老人病”。但随着时间的推移，情况好像有点不对，便到大医院做全身检查，结果出来，把我们这家人都吓呆了——晚期癌症。当时的我，真的不知道怎么做，只好无奈的接受。得知这种病后，爷爷只好听医生的安排。

第一次住进大医院，接受第一期的化疗。我到医院探望他，看到他那虚弱的身子，真让人心疼，我忍着不哭，我要笑着面对。化疗的日子慢慢过去了，还有一个月就快要过年，爷爷主动提出回家休养，我们也只好听他的话，其实他是不可以的。

过年的那两个星期，爷爷过的很开心，毕竟看到一家人团团圆圆的，这是老人家最希望看到的。到了元宵的那一天，他的身体撑不住了，要马上住院，我们又揪心起来。

时间慢慢的过去了，爷爷的病情反复不断，我们对他的关怀也不断增加。只要我一放学，我会立刻去探望他，因为爸爸说过：“爷爷可能过不了兔年的春节，你们两兄妹要多关心爷爷”。在接受治疗的期间，奶奶是最辛苦的，医院、家里两边跑，毕竟奶奶身体也不是很好，一年下来，奶奶整整瘦了一大圈，真让人心痛。

在一个寒冷的夜里，爷爷突然气喘，睡在旁边的奶奶竟然察觉不到。最终，爷爷安详的离开了我们。在早上我接到哥哥的电话，当时的我真的懵了，我接受不了这个事实，包括现在。在他去世的前一天，我真的很后悔当时为什么没有去探望他，连最后一句话也没说，真的后悔。

时光流逝，他已离开我们有一个多月了，我们的心情也平伏了很多。只是奶奶还是不能回到现在，我们在过春节这段时间，怕她会闷，整天给她安排节目，带她到外面散散心。我真的希望奶奶的脸上是挂着那副慈祥的笑容，相信时间能做到。

现在的我，知道痛失一位亲人是多么的心疼，这也使我更加地去孝顺身边的长辈。因为我知道有一种伤叫悲伤，是睫毛也承受不住眼球的重，轻轻碰到就会滴落。我不想再出现这种情况，现在的我真的明白珍惜的意义了。作文

Father shows much care to us children and my mother as well. Whenever there is any delicious food on the table, he just leaves it to us while he takes the simple one himself. If my brother and I fall ill, he will not hesitate a moment to get some medicine for us or take us to see the doctor. My mother suffers a bad disease. Father looks after her very carefully. He never lets mother do any heavy work both at home and in the field. Mother appreciates him m much that she often praises him as a model husband before others.

We all think that father is not in the least an ordinary man. He plays an extraordinary role in my family. We cant have anything without him. Now Im pursuing further studies at college far away from father. I miss him very much. And I often see him in my dreams. His great image is deeply carved in my mind.

Father is a person full of optimism. He never complains about our poor life. He is never frustrated by trouble. He often tells us that everything will be all right if we have enough confidence in life. Due to his optimism, we are all confident to face our life and work.

Being a farmer, father works very hard in the fields all the year round. He works from dawn till dusk every day and even till midnight when it is the harvest season. He seldom enjoys leisure with other farmers even if the farm work is not much. He chooses to live a busy life with reluctance to stop for a while.

Father devotes all himself to our family. As we are poor, he always tries his best to support our family and afford the tuitions for my brother and me. For the whole family, for brother and me, he never stops working laboriously in the fields throughout the year. Now he has got a wrinkled face and white hair because of excessive hard work, looking much older and weaker than any other person of his age. In spite of all this, father never complains to us. It is his full devotion that were living a better life now. It is his full devotion that both my brother and I are able to study at college.

There is always a brilliant image living in my heart. That is my dear father. Seen through the eyes of many other people, father seems to be a very ordinary person. But he is quite extraordinary in my eyes, I have never lost my wonder at his good-personalities such as diligence, devotion, care, optimism ever since my childhood.
