“be afraid of +名词或动名词”的用法也很常用。表示“害怕”。如：

在这一句型结构中until (till) 引导的是时间状语(从句)，因此从句中不能用将来时，只能用一般现在时代替。如果主句的谓语动词或until (till)前面的动词是一个瞬间动词，那么该动词必须用否定形式。一般地来说until和till的意思与用法都基本相同，唯一的区别在于可以置于句首，而不能。如：

有一次英语晚自习，打了铃之后班里仍是像炸了锅一样热闹，吵架的、打架的、嬉笑的、K歌的，应有尽有，无所不有。我正奇怪英语老师为什么还没来，此人就出现在教室门口了。班里顿时鸦雀无声。一同来的，还有班主任。班主任留下了“站一晚上”的“圣旨”后扬长而去。我们在下面悔得肠子都青了，同时也深感不服。这就是自讨苦吃吧，我想。

正想着，忽然发现英语老师也站在讲台上。过了一会儿，她说：“其实今天的事我也有责任。我来晚了。可是大家真的很乱，从四个班走过来，最乱的就是咱们班了……我也陪你们站，大家谁都别坐了，好吗?”她严肃的表情上找不到任何的虚伪，我们都为之感动，就差鼓掌了。结果那个晚上，她真的一边站着一边看书，根本没坐下过。我们谁也没好意思偷懒，就凭她那晚的那番话和行为，我们愿意站十个晚上来奉还。

教过我的英语老师甚至是所有老师中，她的确是教得最好且最能拉近与学生之间距离的一个。翻开我们的英语作业本，你会发现，每个人的本上每天都会有一个大大的英文：加油!

光阴似箭，日月如梭，转眼间又到了一年一度的国庆节。

国庆节是怎么来的呢?一九四九年十月一日，在世界历是极不寻常的一天。这一天，伟大的中华人民共和国诞生了，它标志着中华人民从此站起来了。人们为了欢庆这一天，把每年的十月一日定为国庆节。

国庆节这天，我们全家还有妈妈的同事一家去黑龙滩游玩。

在旅途中，我看见了许多建筑物上五星红旗迎风招展。乘坐了两小时的汽车，来到了黑龙滩的大坝前。大坝长271米，高53米，从底部至顶部渐渐变窄。这气势磅礴的大坝是用一块块条石构筑而成，它是仁寿人民智慧与勤劳的结晶。在大坝旁高耸着一块花岗石砌成的纪念碑，上面有郭沫若亲笔题字黑龙滩水库，这些字金光闪闪，苍劲有力。碑的旁边雕刻着一条栩栩如生的龙。

随后我们去坐游船，船启航了，阵阵的微风不时地吹来，十分凉爽。在船上可以看见一大群的鱼儿跟着船游动，它好像在与船赛跑。在阳光的照射下，湖面的水波光粼粼。不一会儿，船停在了蟠龙岛的码头。我们兴高采烈地走上了蟠龙岛,崎岖的山路是用一块块石板铺成的，山路两旁是茂密的森林，我原本以为会看到成群结队的猴子，但出乎我的意料，只看到了两只猴子。远远望去，两只猴子好像正在嬉戏打闹。

后来，我们又去乘坐快艇，快艇的速度是游船的四五倍，快艇左右颠簸，人似乎接近了水面，大风扑面而来，非常惊险刺激。快艇后面激起了白色的浪花，快艇两侧的水往外_。过了二十分钟，坐完了快艇，我们又回到了岸边。

这个国庆节，我真开心!我会永远记住这个国庆节。

People always say in one life, they can’t be sailing plainly, it means

people will meet all kinds of difficulties and they are easy to feel frustrated,

the one who gets over frustration, the one who becomes successful. When we meet

difficulties, we must learn to face it in the optimistic way, so we can see the

hope and have the faith to move on. The difficult moment is just the small

interlude of our lives. As the saying that failure is the mother of success, so

Low-carbon Life

Low-carbon life is good for everyone. To help with the environment，I always walk or ride a bike to school instead of taking a car. Besides，I will try to use things that can be recycled and I never forget to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom. I think it‘s my duty to live a low-carbon life. And even the simplest activities can make a real difference to the environment. So I suggest we should reuse books as long as possible. And we’d better not spend much money on expensive clothes. If everyone does something for the environment，I believe the earth will be a better place.

国庆节到了，但是老师不允许我们出去玩，我只好待在家里。首先把假期作业做完，然后复习一下功课，看看电视，没事的时候帮妈妈做做事。这就是我的假期。

The national day holiday has come. Our teacher does not permit us to go out and play, so I have to stay at home. I had my homework done and went on with a revision first, then watched TV and helped my mum with the housework from time to time. that is my holiday.

这个国庆过得真有趣啊！我、妈妈和外婆来到了我梦寐以求的海滨城市------青岛。

我们首先来到了一望无际的大海边，顿时觉得心旷神怡。举目远眺，大海好象和天空连在了一起，连接处是一条弯弯的弧线，浩瀚无边的大海是碧绿碧绿的，眼前那金色的太阳照在海面上，闪闪发光，几条小船漂泊在海面上，就好象躺在大海妈妈的摇蓝里。和大海相对衬的是一片金灿灿的沙滩。我赤着脚丫走在柔软的沙滩上，凉爽的海风吹在身上真舒服，让人久久不忍离开……我在沙滩上翻滚着、玩着、笑着、喊着、跑着，在我身后的沙滩上留下了一 串串歪歪斜斜的小脚印，我兴奋极了。

我们祖孙三人还比赛捉螃蟹，一开始我我两手空空，只见外婆和妈妈捉了一只又一只，我羡慕极了，忍不住向妈妈“讨教”，妈妈说：“你仔细看，有一个个小沙球从石头底下滚出来，并且还有小水泡不断往外冒，观察仔细，动作迅速，保证你也有收获”。果然，按照妈妈的指点，效果极佳…… 海水涨潮的时候，就象是咆哮的雄狮，海面上波涛滚滚，一排一排的浪花冲向岸边，海浪一个紧跟一个，好象要把海水推上岸来，海水撞击着岸边的岩石，发出山崩地裂的声音。真是惊涛骇浪……

退潮的时候，温暖的海水缓缓地回到大海深处，平静的海面犹如一面硕大的银镜，还给我们留下了一大片金黄色柔软的象海绵的沙滩，那个地方，青岛人称它为：“黄金海岸”。

啊！这个国庆真有趣、真痛快，黄金海岸多么热闹、多么美丽、多么迷人，我喜欢青岛，更喜欢大海。
