I sometimes went to the library to read books and surfed the internet.During the Spring Festival, i visited my grandparents, friends and relatives. We really had a great time together. I prepared for the new lessons and read English,too. I really enjoyed my winter holiday.

今年的十月一日，是祖国母亲的生日。我们因此在忙碌的学习中得到了放松。利用这段短暂而又漫长的七天，我和妈妈去城隍庙游玩。

一走进古色古香的大门，我就已经被那里的风景吸引住了。看那么多人聚集在一起看什么呢?我走近一瞧，原来是一批民间艺术家正在大显身手露出自家的绝活。木雕师傅手操小刀在木块上这里一划那里一刻，一个栩栩如生的人头像就做好了。米上刻字更让人惊叹，刻字的师傅拿着小刻刀在米上移来移去，不一会儿就成了一件特别的工艺品。画像也是一门独特的技术，画师可以把人的神态与脸部画得准确，有时还可以抽象一些。

九曲桥也是一大景点，来到城隍庙就不能不来九曲桥。环绕着九曲桥的是池塘水中的金鱼游来游去，有人们把食物撒向池塘一群群的金鱼便立刻围了上去。

城隍庙的小吃也很有名，九曲桥的周围小巷里散发着阵阵香味，立刻便勾起了人们的食欲。城隍庙的小商品数不胜数，让人目不暇接。品种多样式多，让人不知道该挑哪一样好。

在一些传统节日里，城隍庙还会举行灯会，五光十色的灯闪烁光芒，也意味着中国将会更加繁荣。

Last night, my parents told me that they would go to have dinner with

friends, so they wouldn’t stay at home and let me to buy something to eat by
