Several years ago,from joyo,I bought the book "the kite runner" which ranked first on best sellers volume.First reading the book,I was totally moved and even cried for the sad story.This year,I knew it has been adapted into a movie.After seeing the movie,I read again this book and gained some new views.

The novel begins a story about two boys.Amir is born in a rich family.Hassan is his servant as well as close friend.They both lose mother from birth and grow up like brothers.Hassan is very loyal to Amiar,but Amiar sells him.Many years later,Amir has settled down in America for years and established a family,but Hassan died for protecting Amirs luxury house in Afghanistan and leave an orphan.Accidentally,Amir gets to know a big secret and decides to atone for his crime that hound around him from childhood.

Reading it again,most of my original views has changed.

At the first place,I have a feeling of being cheated by the writer.The novel first attracted me before because it set its plot in a special environment---Afghanistan which even I often got news about from TV and newspaper,I knew the country utterly ignorant except wars and terrorism.So I wanted to understand more about the calamitous country.However,I am disappointed by the novel which just use a special background environment to tell a so-called travel of human nature .The theme of the novel should be atonement if it was taken off flowery coat.Bad gay like Amir and and good gay like Hassan,adding some the present best sellers polular elements like bastard,forming the main contents. In fact,the kite runner impressed me deeply and it just depends on sensational words.Besides,what makes me most dislike is that the writer,an Afghan-American,contorted some political elements for American advantages.The history background only make the affair of Russia invading and Taliban dictators go into particulars,but not mention Americas ignominious role in this politics.Why Taliban dictators are so unruly?Why Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979?Why Afghan people still live in poor condition nowadays?America,a main actor is disposed of in this novel.

At the second place,the characters all serve to a tacky theme-atonement and birth secrects.When the birth secrects are exposed,the atonement travel begins.When the atonement finishes,the story finishes.

I even feel I am wrapped around the American medias little finger.Many celebrities and book concerns writed good comments,which helped it ranke first on sales volume for several times and made readers think it must get widely praised and then bought it without doubt finally.

Though I think the disadvantages are more than advatages,compared with the back atonement part,I like the front part that describes the pure friendship and innocent childhood between two boys.The description about the culture of kite in Afghanistan is excellent.

As a first book of the writer,it is resonable that the novel has some deficiencies.I hope his next and next works can more and more perfect.

一天圣诞节，夜空里挂满了一闪一闪的星星，地面上人多人满。其中有一个小女孩，她又矮、又饿、又可怜、身上穿着一件破裙子、头山带着一个破围巾。她就是卖火柴的小女孩儿了。她的妈妈去世了，她的爸爸生病了。她外什么要卖火柴呢?因为呀，为了养活生病的爸爸，只有她能出去打工。

但是很多人都从她身边走过，小女孩轻轻地坐在墙角。小女孩儿点燃一根火柴，光线照亮了旁边的墙，这时，小女孩儿面前突然变出一个火炉，她刚伸出手要去暖暖她的小冷手的时候，一阵寒冷的大风吹过来，火柴灭了，火炉也不见了。

小女孩儿又点亮一根火柴，眼前又出现一桌美味可口的食物，还有一盘香喷喷的烤鸡，这时，烤鸡站了起来，向小女孩儿跑去。小女孩儿刚刚伸出冻僵的小手。又有一阵风吹来了，火柴又灭了，烤鸡也不见了。

小女孩儿又点亮一根火柴，这一次，小女孩面前出现了一颗又美丽、有庞大、上边还挂着好多礼物的圣诞树。小女孩刚刚伸出小手的时候，火柴又灭了，圣诞树也不见了。

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

【感动，在父爱的港湾】

《傅雷家书》讲述的是一代翻译巨匠傅雷与妻子写给海外儿子的书信。这是一代翻译巨匠的切身体会，也是一个中国父亲的肺腑之言，更是一段盛传不衰的佳话。

Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.

Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He was born in a poor family but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him too.

This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist the hero is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.

The author created a group of bad men.

Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.

Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.

Monks Oliver’s brother did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

From Oliver Twist I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.

Everybody has read a famous masterpiece - "treasure island", Treasure Island English reading. The book revolves around an adventure story, in which a young man was born in a poor home to make a living in a hotel. The boy is the hero of the book, Jim. Hawkins. He stumbled upon a map of a desert island where old pirates hid gold and silver. So, he and other friends to discuss, with a group of seaman embarked on a trip to find. But soon, they were a group of seaman mutiny, the two sides keen on the battlefield, they launched a thrilling fight with the enemy. Finally, because all the efforts of the crew, charged to victory, Jim soon, they carried the wealth jubilantly with the home.

Although I did not go there in person adventure, but in my mind, always emerge a picture, Jim his honest face always appeared in his side, he is so noble, kind, brave, he is always able to subdue the pirates, victory, he is so brave! 我很喜欢这本书。 我也相信，这些凝聚着华夏智慧文明的神话故事，一定能够世代相传、永续光辉的!

小时侯爸爸送给我一套中华成语故事书，那时候我还看不懂，所以我就一直没看。自从我上了一年级之后，逐渐认识了更多汉字，我就愿意看这本书了。我喜欢看这本书的原因是我知到了不少历史人物和令人难忘的故事，还有就是我觉的成语很神奇：四个字就可以代表那么长的故事，讲述令人很容易理解的道理。最后一个原因是书上不认识的字可以查字典，这样我就可以认识更多生字了，而且让我更加熟悉了怎样查字典。

看了半年后我觉得收获很大，知道了不少成语故事，比如：一人得道，鸡犬升天：比喻一个人得势，他的关系人也由此得到好处；一暴十寒：意为晒一天，冻十天，植物难以生长，后指做事没恒心；一毛不拔：一根毫毛都不肯拔掉，形容非常吝啬。

今后只要有时间，我就坚持读这本书，认识更多的成语故事及生字。爸爸还教导让我把成语故事联系到现实生活中去，加深对成语的理解，从中受益，让我把成语故事的道理更多运用到现实生活中，更好的指导我如何学习。

“神威能奋武，儒雅更知文。天日心如镜，春秋义薄云。”的确，关羽自始至终都不失一个英雄的本色。

关云长单刀赴会，水淹七军，刮骨疗伤，……都将关羽的忠义之举，智勇之能，一展无遗，其虎牢关的英勇，白门楼上的恩义，令赤兔马都为之殉命，何况人乎?

成也萧何，败也萧何，麦城之战失利，关羽面临着心与血的生死抉择，以他的才能，一旦受降，富贵权力会一涌而至，“玉可碎不可损其白，竹可破不可毁其节”他背负着忠君的沧桑与巍峨，透着不尽的壮烈与苍凉，留给世人一个从容赴死的背影，赤诚，隽永……

其实在当时，见风使舵已成气候，哪国强大就降哪国的亦不少见，像马超，姜维，张松……或许在当时会威名远扬，但当历史沉淀到今日，他们也就暗淡无光了。一臣侍二主可以长安乐，但关羽宁死不降，蜀国的耻辱就是关羽的耻辱，这时，体面的义无反顾是唯一的。因为，中国人不仅活在生命的百年里，还注重活在千年的历史中。

余秋雨说过：“没有悲剧就没有悲壮，没有悲壮就没有崇高”关羽的悲剧，又蕴含着多少沧桑的感伤和无尽的苍凉!都说胜者为王，我却一直在心里称他为“失败了的英雄”，不管定语为何，他依然盈满炎黄脉搏的英雄本色。

今天我读了《梅花魂》一课。刚读了两个自然段，我就被“外公”的眷恋祖国之情深深的感动了。这不畏严寒的腊梅不正是象征着我们的祖国吗? 有个地方令我感触很深。

有一天，妈妈忽然对我说：“萤儿，我们要回唐山去!” “干嘛要回去呢?” “那才是我们的祖国呀?” 祖国，就是那地图上像一只金鸡的地方吗?就是那拥有长江黄河，万里长城的国土吗?我欢呼起来，小小的心里充满了欢乐。 可是，我马上想起外祖父，我亲爱的外祖父，问妈妈：“外公走吗?” “外公年纪太大了……” 我跑进祖父的书房，老人正躺在藤沙发上。我说：“外公你也回祖国去吧!” 想不到外公竟像小孩子一样“呜呜呜”的哭起来了……

是啊，热爱祖国，眷恋祖国却因年纪大而不能回去，这是多么残忍的割舍啊!祖国是我们的"大家庭"，我们中华儿女是这个"大家庭"的当家人和维护者，而这位"外祖父"却回不到这个家，但是这位"外祖父"热爱祖国大好河山的精神难道不是可歌可泣的吗 ?

我又继续往下读。 旁的花大抵春暖才开花。她 却不一样，愈是寒冷愈是风欺雪压花开的愈精神愈秀气。她是最有精神有骨气的呢! 这几句话不正是说明了梅花特有的品格，愈是寒冷花卡的愈秀气。

其他的花都是春暖才开花，遇到风吹雨雪和寒冷的天气，就早已衰败，凋谢。虽然菊花也是在寒冷的天气开，但是在腊月里，它也会凋谢。只有象征着我们祖国的腊梅花，才是经霜傲雪，不惧严寒啊!真是"梅花香自苦寒来"。 在这里我要祝我们的神州风调雨顺，人们的生活幸福安康。 想到这里我又把课文读了几遍。

我读了《三国演义》，被东汉末年三国斗争的恢弘气势给打动了。

这本书写了从东汉末年到西晋初年蜀魏吴三国的斗争，刘关张桃园结义，“草船借箭”“火烧赤壁”“三顾茅庐”等一个个精彩的故事。我喜欢张飞的万夫莫开，诸葛亮的奇谋计策，周瑜的智勇双全……我最喜欢的是诸葛亮，他通天文知地理，想出打败敌人的妙计，出其不意，比如“空城计”“七擒孟获”等等。

导致三国战争发生的是腐败的汉灵帝刘宏，可见无论多正直的人民，没有一个好的头领是不行的。

今天晚上，我读了《爷爷一定有办法》这本绘本后，感觉这个绘本讲的是约瑟在小时候，他的爷爷为他亲手缝了一条毛毯，随着小约瑟慢慢的长大，毛毯变小了、由新变旧时，约瑟都会想到他的爷爷，因为他的爷爷有办法，他爷爷一直将毛毯逐步变为约瑟的上衣、背心、裤子、领带、纽扣。感觉约瑟好幸福，他有一个爱他的爷爷。也从另一个方面说明约瑟和他的爷爷是一个勤俭节约的人，我要像他学习，要节约，不要浪费，要做到物尽其用。我也要向约瑟的爷爷一样有办法，这样我遇到问题就会自己解决了。

贾府的挥霍，便注定要走向衰亡，这个结局，并不难猜。王熙凤的机关算尽，却换来悲凉结局。而真正聪明的，是探春。她是有才干的，又是清醒的：“我们这样的人家，人都看我们不知千金万金，何等快乐，殊不知这里说不出的烦难。”她开源节流，却阻碍不了贾府期数将近的必然。

As female college students, how to stick to our own belief and aviod being assimilated by the complex society, Thackeray’s novel Vanity Fair could give us a good instruction. Through the Rebacca’s attitude towards money, social status and marriage, I realize what is most important thing for a female.

Thackeray described the life of ruling classes of England in the early decades of the 19th century, and attacked the social relationship of bourgeois world by satirizing the individuals in the different strata of the upper society. As an orphan, Rebacca’s birth can easily win our tears. It is an undenible fact that she is quite an ambitious and clever girl. As far as I am concerned, she could easily live a decent life with her own hand. However, because of the society and the innate deficits in her characteristics, she becomes very sophisticate and even tried to suduce her best friend’s brother so that she could win her place in the upper society and other’s admiration. However, for the people in the upper class, Rebacca’s humble birth cuold never be erased even though she married a rich man. In other’s eye, she was just a coquette who was quite good at suducing rich men. Why not use your own hand to create a bright future and win others’ true respect instead of relying on the man’s shoulder.

Rebacca liveed in a society which is ruled by money, everyone was crazy about money, Rebacca was no exception. She held the dream of living a life of a grand lady, wearing luxurious clothes and shining dimonds. In order to realize her dream, she used all kinds of immoral means to win the love of rich men. Finally, she got married with Rawdon Crawley, a good man who will inherit a large sum of money from her ant. However, the old lady refused because Crawley married Rebacca---a woman of low social status. Rebacca and her husband live a quite luxurious life in Pairs even though they could not make the both ends meet. Although you live a decent life and gain other’s admiration,you may never be ture happy because you never know what is love and responsibilty. Rebacca’s marriage is a good example. She took a quite easy attitude towords marriage. Her marriage was just a method which helped her get in to the upper class and live a rich life. Ther is no wonder that she was so cruel to her husband and flirted with another rich man when her husband was in the prison. Here I want to mention another female----Amelia, a girl of simple mind. In Rebacca’s mind she was a fool. At first, she held the same view as Rebacca. Her husband’s death in the war made her become a sorrowful widow. Till one day Rebacca told her that her husband once asked Rebaccato run with him. Amelia was angry and married a man who has taken care of her for several years uncomplainly. Amelia is not a cold hearted women, although her dream of being a grand lady had vanished,but she experienced a life of being truly loved. While for Rebacca, she will forever lived in the Vanity Fair and never has the chance to experience this kind of love. In my eye , Amelia is wiser than her.

Rebacca is a tragic female during that period. Money is not every in our life. The improvement of our social status needs our own efforts instead of relying on others. Mrriage is a holly thing in our girls’ life, which requires our responsibility and loyalty. Or we will forever live in a hollow world and the dream of vanity will finally destory us.
