I was wondering what was in such a nice package until I carefully opened it and found that you sent me an attractive present for my birthday. Thank you very much for your kindness, and I like the present, which will give me pleasure for a long time to come.

Again it is thoughtful of you to send me the present on my birthday. Yesterday evening my colleagues held a birthday party for me, including John Liu---I think you can remember---a nice tall boy, who invited you and I to his birthday last October. We enjoyed ourselves, and all of us mentioned your stay with us. We hope that you will come to China soon, if possible.

暑假我们去了期待已久的敦煌，敦煌是建立在沙漠中的城市，那里有的莫高窟，有趣的“鸣沙山”。

“爬鸣沙山啦!爬鸣沙山啦”随着一声声快乐的喊声，我们来到鸣沙山脚下，放眼望去，金灿灿的沙漠之山在万丈光芒的照耀下显得更加耀眼和端庄。迫不及待的我们似风一般飞奔过去。天天弟弟一马当先，只听到“啊”的一声惨叫，才跑了两三步的天天弟“嘶”地滑了下来。看来爬鸣沙山可不简单啊!为了防止这类事故再次发生，这次我们小心多了。我手脚并用，小心翼翼地往上爬，爬三步滑一步，踉踉跄跄，爬得无比艰辛，累得气喘吁吁，抬头一看，眼看山顶就在不远处，可总也爬不完。转头看看天天弟弟，他正用脚尖一瘸一拐地努力攀爬，就像一只努力爬行的小蜗牛，用尽全力才爬了一点点距离。此刻，虽然太阳西落，但是我们依旧被晒得又累又渴，快要走不动了，准备放弃时，不知谁在喊：“快到滑沙的地方啦!”我们俩顿时像打了鸡血似得飞奔在沙漠上。站在滑沙的地方往下看，好高啊!一向胆小如鼠的我这时已双脚发麻，天天弟弟笑着说：“哈，老姐，没想到你这么胆小!”我有些不服气，拿起滑沙板就滑，这感觉真是一言难尽啊，十分好玩，像是在飞!周围的一切都在一旁掠过，一点也看不清，卷起无数沙尘，那些沙子像听了谁的命令似得都吹进我的眼睛，吹到了我的脸上头发上和嘴巴里，让我十分难受。结束后的我已变成正宗的“小黄人”了!真是一言难尽!

这就是我难忘的暑假之旅，期待下次再次回到敦煌再爬一次鸣沙山。

前几天，我听爸爸说，长河中学301班有一位名叫何坤的同学得了可怕的白血病，需要30多万元医疗费。30万，对于何坤那一贫如洗的家庭来说，简直是个天文数字，太遥远了！我的同情心油然而生。

“一方有难，八方支援”。于是，全镇各个中小学都开展了一次“爱心捐款”活动。我们学校也不例外。

在一个阳光明媚的上午，我们班开展了一次捐款活动。同学们都络绎不绝地捐着钱。别看同学们平时都舍不得花钱，但到了捐款时，都慷慨解囊。5元的、10元的、20元的都有。我看到了这一幕，十分感动，也捐出了储钱罐里所有的积蓄。

没想到同学们的内心都如此炙热，如此可爱。最后，我们班共捐了227。5元。虽然不多，但却饱含着同学们对何坤同学深切的关怀。我们都希望何坤同学早日康复，早日回到温暖的课堂。

“只要人人都献出一点爱，世界将变成美好的人间……”这首歌像小溪般缓缓流淌在我的耳际。是呀，如果每个人都献出一点爱，那这个世界将变得多么美好啊！

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first

four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on

duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill

pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses

are cleaned; couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at

the gate.

On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gatherd together

and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock

strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers

and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year,

almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. When

people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends

and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. Children

indulge themselves in games.

一六五九年九月三十日，一个人在一次航行中遇到了可怕的风浪，翻了船，除他之外无一人生还。他流落到了孤岛上。凭着他惊人的毅力与勇气，二十八年后，他依靠自己的智慧逃出了孤岛，这个人就是倒霉而有幸运的鲁滨逊;克罗索。

在荒无人烟的孤岛生活了28年啊!多么惊人的一个数字!可见鲁滨逊是何等的勇敢。初到孤岛的他是绝望的，他说：“我整天悲痛着我这凄凉的环境、没有食物、没有房屋、没有衣服、没有武器、没有出路、没有被救的希望，眼前只有死，不是被野兽所吞，就是被野人所嚼……”但是，慢慢地，他独特的个性体现了出来，对生活充满希望，不再整天沉浸在自己设计的悲观中，开始一心一意的安排自己的生活：他建了小房子;做了桌子、小匣子;捕了小羊、小狗;种了小麦、稻子……就这样，他用自己的双手，创造了自己的小王国。

鲁滨逊是坚毅的人。他曾经这样说到：“我的脾气是要决心做一件事，不成功绝不放手的”，“我要尽全力而为，只要我还能划水，我就不肯被淹死;只要我还能站立，我就不肯倒下……”他没有助手，工具不全，缺乏经验，所以做任何事情都要花很大的劳力，费好长的时间。连做一块木板都要四十二天。他做的许多事情都是白费力气，没有成功，但他从来不灰心失望，总是总结了失败的经验又重新开始。辛勤的劳动换来了令人欣慰的回报，他最后变得有船用、有面包吃、有陶器用、有种植园、有牧场、有两处较“豪华”的住所……这些没有一件不是费了很多力气、克服了许多困难才得来的。

读完之后，我不禁反省自己：如果我流落到孤岛上，能活几天?一天?两天?我又能干些什么?会劈柴?会打猎做饭?我连洗自己的衣服还笨手笨脚的呢!再说了，没有一个人讲话，多孤单呀!我准会憋死的!可见鲁滨逊是多么乐观向上!我觉得人应该学习他这种不怕困难、乐观向上的精神，无论何时何地都坚强的活下去，哪怕只有一线希望也要争取，决不能放弃!我们要像鲁滨逊那样有志气、有毅力、爱劳动，凭自己的双手创造财富，取得最后的胜利 .。

I was in primary school through the fifth primary school, happy time for less homework, the teacher always tells stories. The first grade when I do not love learning, but after the third grade I began to love learning, because the teacher says learning fun for us, and we often have sports activities.

I will forever remember my elementary school schoolmate, elementary schoolteacher, also will forever remember my unforgettable elementary school life.

我的小学是在五小度过的,小学的快乐时光因为作业少,老师经常讲故事.一年级的时候我不太爱学习,但三年级以后我开始喜欢学习,因为老师给我们说学习的乐趣,还有经常的体育活动.

我会永远记住我的小学同学,小学老师,也将永远记住我难忘的小学生活.
