Christmas Day is on December 25th. It was originated in the western

country, but today, this festival has been celebrated by the world. For the

manufacturers, they are very happy to make this day as a shopping day. I enjoy

the great atmosphere.

I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

she brought us the desserts she made early in the morning. We enjoyed the

home-made cakes. Whats more, she invited us to came to her house and spent the

day with her. Then for the first time, I ate big turkey, which was so delicious.

they resist and escape it. Actually, there always is trouble and problems once

we chose a path to go, because almost everything worth doing is not so easy.

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too. so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

在台湾南部夏季非常热,温度会上升到32“c或更多。因为热,这是一个尝试体验上学或做任何其他的地方没有空调。也因为这个我呆在家里大部分时间在暑假期间,只是偶尔去海边自己陷入冰冷的水来保持我的身体不粘。实际上我喜欢游泳,认为没有什么比游泳更清爽。在刚刚结束的暑假,我和我的同学多次去游泳,我们都玩得很开心。这个暑假,然而,并非完全都在寻求乐趣。作为一个二年级的大四学生,我不得不准备自己的高考只是一年的时间。换句话说,我也必须找到时间学习。所以我分裂的时间工作和娱乐之间暑假期间和派生受益于这样的安排。

盼星星盼月亮，终于把期盼已久的拔河比赛盼来了。

早上队员们一个个精神抖擞地走进赛场，一进场就听见啦啦队的吹呼声震耳欲聋。我作为队员之一，心扑通扑通地跳着，仿佛心里有只兔子马上就要蹦出来了。

比赛开始了，同学们使出吃奶的劲儿，像一头斗牛似的拼命往后拉。主力队员小悦使出浑身气力，身子不由得向后倾，小绮憋红了脸，像个红苹果。一位女生脸上青筋暴起，那就是我。同学们手被绳子勒红了，但也一声不吭，依然用力地向后拉着“一二拉、一二拉!”红绳一点点地向我们移动，“第一轮1：0”，同学们兴奋地欢呼起来，互相击掌，互相鼓励，为下一轮做着准备。

“嘟~”第三轮的哨子吹响了，因为第二轮我们似乎心太急，让对手占了上风。这一轮可是决胜局，同学们卯足了劲，身体后倾，脚顶着脚互相借力。就在我们快赢的一刹那，对手突然发力，我们身体一点点前倾。此刻，我想起了老师赛前的指导，同学们也意识到了危急时刻，不敢有一点怠慢。老师在一旁向我们的身后方向挥舞着双手，并沙哑的喊着“一二加油、一二加油”刚才已经没有力气的双手和双脚似乎注入了一股神奇的力量，从上而下，贯穿全身……每个队员都憋足了一口气，用力的拉扯着，红绳一点点偏移，我们的脚下一点点后退，对手一点点前移，我们在啦啦队此起彼伏的呐喊声中取得了胜利。

通过这次拔河比赛，我们懂得了团结、懂得了互助，懂得了不能自傲、不能轻敌，做任何事都要付出百分之二百的努力才能有好的结果。

生命，属于我们，但他，也只有一次。所以，我们要珍惜生命，就要学会生存，学会自我保护。

那一次，我差一点点被死神夺去生命。

因为奶奶和爷爷跟爸爸去做事，妈妈留在老家。这天晚上，妈妈带饭给我吃。我放学过后，一个人独自回到了家。一进家门，就闻到了一种奇怪的味道—是煤气味！我想起了老师原来教过我：如果家中闻到煤气味，很有可能是煤气水泄露，此时盈利及关闭煤气灶的阀门。我立马跑到厨房，打开了厨房的门，一股煤气的味道迎面扑来，我立马用手捂住鼻子，飞快的把煤气灶阀门给关住。可是煤气的味道一点也没减少，我感到死神正在一步步逼近。

就在这时，我猛地想起应怪把窗户打开，于是，我快步走到窗子旁，把窗子打开，把头探出去，贪婪的呼吸着清新的空气。等我呼吸了就足够的空气，又跑到几个房间里，相继把窗子打开。终于，在6点边上，煤气味终于散去了。这时，我才坐下来，安心地写起作业来。

7点边上，爸爸妈妈来了。我迫不及待的把整件事告诉了他们。他们都吓了一大跳，但同时又为我的行为感到震惊。爸爸到厨房里检查，想不到，原来还有一大罐的煤气竟然一点也没有了。爸爸连夸我的自我保护意识强。

在人生的路途中，学会生存无疑是让自己的生活有了保障。当你遇到危险时，生存的知识可以让你摆脱困境。生存的知识就像你的左膀右臂，在危险的时候，帮你度过难关。
