During the National Day, our family went to Yunfu Mountain Hot Springs.

To the hot springs, we swim for swimsuit. First of all we came to the childrens pool, where there are a lot of fun slides there are things, I did not even do not do the warm-up exercise could not help but jumped out of the pool, "wow, really comfortable." But the water there is too shallow , Do not move. Then we went to the fish treatment pool, I put the feet into, there are many small fish over my feet, very comfortable, but feel a little itch. As we all realized that every one of us will fail during our life. Take me

for an example, I fail in my exam. In fact, failure always does appear, which

also means that failure is a daily occurrence, however, when facing the failure,

different people have different attitudes.

Some people hold the view that failure is the meaning whenever they could

not be successful. Thus, if meeting with failure, they will feel so nervous that

they have no idea what they are supposed to do. As time goes by, they become

more and more dispirited while eventually, they could do nothing well.

On the contrary, there are some people tending to believe another idea.

From their point of view, failure is outstanding due to the fact that it can

give them plenty of encouragement. Therefore, if facing failure, they will be

quite courageous and then try their best to beat it, finally, they make their

dream come true.

From my perspective, failure is neither an excellent thing nor an

appreciating thing. Sometimes, it is capable to offer us with encouragement,

however, it can also make us unconfident now and then. Thus, if encountering the

failure, never could we be scared. What we should do is to face it bravely and

never give up.

In summary, I wish when failure appears, each one of us could confront with

it bravely and beat it, if possible.

Everybody will meet all kinds of difficulties during their lives, of

course, they are willing to accept success, but the fact is that no one can win

all the time, they will meet failure now and then. Fail is an unpleasant thing

to face, people treat fail a bad thing. While for me, I think we can learn from

failure and be a better man.

Everyone is afraid of facing failure, because failure brings them the sense

of frustration. When facing failure, people choose to avoiding talking about it,

they feel that they will be looked down upon by others. Indeed, no one likes to

failure anything, they want to be successful all the time.

If people change their idea about failure, they can see the positive side.

There is an old saying that failure is the mother of success, which means that

people will learn from failure and make preparation for the success. So failure

is not that hard to face, if people take right attitude towards it, they will

gain success soon.

In a word, failure is not a bad something, it can bring success, only if

people treat it right.

我慢慢的长大了，还没来得及抓住时间，它就像火箭一样从眼前划过，只是那么一瞬间，不留下一点儿印迹。我觉得，长大就是一种烦恼。幼儿园、一年级、二年级、三年级的时光就这样从我身边很快走过，只留下最后的缓冲。

I have a lot of troubles, such as going to school, homework, and parents’

ramble. They like the stars in the sky. I am afraid of the darkness. This is my

biggest trouble. At night, I am fear of going out alone. And when my parents

sleep, I even can’t go to the toilet. Therefore, I never drink water before

sleep. And I always turn on the light when I am sleeping. I know it’s not good

but I can’t sleep in the darkness.

Usually, the Valentine’s Day has no connection with the traditional Chinese

festival, but this year, the Lantern festival falls on the same day with the

lovers’ day. Well, some young will face a dilemma，especially for those who

doesn’t get married. Should they spend the day with their families or their hot

lovers? That’s a question. I’ve got a key that can solve this problem.

Family comes first of course. You should wake up a little earlier in the

morning, and help your mother in the kitchen. On the Lantern Festival, making

rice balls and dumplings are the traditional activities. Having a reunion dinner

with the whole family is also very important, so you need to show up and stay

with your family for the whole morning. Spend some time with your family. Keep

them company and make them happy. In the afternoon, there are maybe not so busy,

you can plan for the Valentine’s Day with your girlfriend or boyfriend, you can

have some snacks in 4p.m, and tell your parents you will hang out with your

friends at night and not having supper at home tonight. They would be

understood. Then you can take your girlfriend or boyfriend to a nice restaurant

and see the latest movie after dinner. Do not forget to present the gift you

prepare for your lover. Make your lover happy, too.

I think everybody should find a balance between family love and lover’s

love. If I can only choose one, I will choose family love over the other.

Because I know my family never leaves me and my parents are aging. How many days

can I still be with them? So I really appreciate the days that I can still be

with them. I know you will do the same just like me.

少年陆天，他工作繁忙，很久没笑了。街坊邻里的老爷爷都知道，他可是一个有爱心的少年。

冬天的街上很清冷，少年走在人行道上，向家的方向走去，心情低沉沉的。陆天不时还抖抖身，想将身上的寒冷抖去。突然，几朵雪花落在了少年陆天的肩上，他知道，马上要下大雪了。

坐在门口聊天的几个老爷爷，看见了他，不由自主地叹了口气。他们讨论起来：“你瞧，陆天这孩子工作以后给自己太大压力了。”

突然，有只小狗惊慌失措地大叫了几声。少年陆天猛地抬起头，十几个小朋友用石头正在砸一只流浪狗。流浪狗以前是有家庭的，但那家人搬走了，却没有带走它。陆天沉浸在了回忆中，他记得小时候经常和它玩。它现在就如同皮包骨头，再加上这寒冷的天气，它在不停地颤抖。陆天立马阻止小朋友，小朋友顿时兴致全无，走开了。

陆天回到家，在门口又看到了它。陆天从口袋中拿出自己仅剩一点的晚餐——一块面包，分给了流浪狗，陆天退后几步，把面包块分一半放在了地上。陆天叫了一句“朵朵”，狗狗没有回答，只是吃着面包。

陆天尝试多次向前靠近，但它就多次后退。突然，陆天的视线转移到了它的脚上，它受伤了。无奈之下，陆天只能悄悄地靠近，一把抓住了它。朵朵拼命地挣扎，怎样都跑不掉。陆天把它带到宠物医院疗伤，很幸运，伤势不是很严重。回家时，夕阳把最后一缕阳光照射在了它的身上。陆天又叫了一声朵朵，流浪狗终于回应了，陆天轻轻地抚摸它，脸上露出了久违的微笑。

少年陆天收养了与他从小一起长大的朵朵，陆天也有了好伙伴。

My winter vacation

我的寒假

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o’clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

寒假期间，我的生活没有什么不同的。我每天十一点醒来，洗完碗后，与我的父母吃丰盛的午餐。之后我玩电脑游戏，玩到吃晚饭的时候。晚餐后。我继续玩游戏玩到凌晨两点，然后去睡觉了。这就是寒假我暗淡无光的一天生活。

But I haven’t bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed，because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meet some of my good friends during the vacation ,we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether .And I watched the spring festival party of the CCTV in the last seconds of the 2011 year! I think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

但我不是所有的时间都是那么的无趣。有时候我读书，有时我听音乐或在床上听收音机，因为外面很冷而且一整天都在下雪。寒假的时候我也会跟我一些好朋友见面，我们会聊各自在过去一年里的生活，一起打乒乓球。我会在2011年的最后一秒钟看中央电视台春节联欢晚会!我认为这是中国的大多数人会做的事情。

昨天下午我坐公交车时没有座位，一直站着，有个12、3岁的小女生也在我旁边站着。过了几站，有人下车，我们都找了位置坐下。小女生刚坐下就发现面前站着一个中年男人，四十多岁的样子，小女生干紧站了起来，给中年人让位，那人说了声“谢谢”便坐了下来。

如果是那小女生给我让位，我肯定会说：“没事，你坐吧”！我不会忍心看一个小女生站着，而自己堂而皇之地坐在她的位置上，因此我看到那中年人坐下时很不舒服。因此我想到了有礼貌让座虽然是好事，但要看让座的对象是谁，如果说是老、弱、病、残、孕及带小孩的人，站立不方便，让位了是美德，不让位是缺德，像身强力壮的中青年人，不让也罢！让了说明小孩有礼貌，坐了说明他们缺德！当然自家父母除外，自己的家长是非常疼爱自家孩子的，家长累了会坐下，还会感到孩子懂事了，长大肯定有出息；娇惯、心疼孩子的情况下也许也不会坐的。

我要对所有的小学生说：给站立不便的人让位是应该的，给身强力壮的人让位没必要。

我要对健壮的中青年人说：关爱孩子，不要让别人家的孩子给自己让位。

今天早上，我和妈妈早早地从床上溜下来，为的不仅仅是在堤上买到新鲜的蔬果，更是为了出来呼吸新鲜空气。

我和妈妈开始慢跑，尽情的呼吸新鲜空气，虽然我们来的很早，但是堤上早已有人在晨练了。

堤上的人真是做的事五花八门。有的在跟买菜的小贩讨价还价，有的在面对席家州大声的捶胸呐喊，有人在骑自行车。堤下已有不少勤劳的农民开始耕种，鸡开始鸣叫起来，这叫声似乎唤起了大自然的一切生机。

小草又开始生长了，花儿又绽放出美丽的笑脸；母鸡带着小鸡到席家州附近的草地觅食，鸭子成群的开始下水游泳，牛开始不停地甩这尾巴赶走讨厌的蚊子。大自然变得多么生机勃勃。

远处河东高耸的摩天轮在浓雾中若隐若现，雾像是一道白色的轻纱覆盖住了一切建筑，像是一个人间仙境。

天边那红色的朝霞开始亮了起来，起初是深红的然后逐渐变成了淡粉，最后变成了金黄，旭日慢慢向上升，一刹那天地突然亮起来了，雾渐渐淡了然后逐渐消失，周围的一切事物清晰而明亮。

这次晨练真实感悟颇多啊！

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

残柳枯荷，梅如故。我独爱梅花清冷外表下那不灭的傲视风雨的坚韧勇敢，每当冬季梅花盛开时，嗅着若有时无的幽香，总会想起"花开有时"--那被我的泪水与坚强浇灌过的音乐梦想之花终是开了--

我的手抖着，抖着，抖着。评委嫌恶的看着拿起竹笛，不知所措的我，像在"欣赏"一直想飞的丑小鸭。"下一个！"他粗暴的打断了我的演奏，示意我出去。霎那间，悲伤不甘溢满心房，眼中有泪却努力不让它流出来，我紧握竹笛一步步向外挪，似乎只有手上的疼痛能让我心里好受些。我的音乐梦想之花在渐渐凋零。

天阴沉沉的，凛冽的东风吹过。下雨了，我不想打伞，就这样低头走着。忽然闻见一丝幽香，抬头一看，是小区中的几株梅花。它们深深浅浅的红是这萧索冬季中唯一的色彩而梅那清冷的幽香也让我很快宁静下来，如一双温暖的大手，抚摸了我的悲伤不甘。我想雨点、冷风毫不留情的打压着它们，应该变成落花了吧。然而，走进细看，却发现一个花骨朵仍婷婷傲立着，一滴雨珠将它砸的有些歪斜，它才不怕抖抖水珠，仰起头迎接新一轮的挑战，为我们送来幽香，点缀冬季的城市。看到这些，我深受感动：红梅不惧风雨，我又何惧失败？那梦想的花儿仿佛也收了鼓舞，积蓄力量，静待下一次盛开。

时间如白驹过隙。又一年冬季，我站在同一个考场，面对同一位评委，心境却完全不同。这一次的我，已学会了梅花的勇敢坚强，胸有成竹，泰然自若。一曲终了，当我和观众还沉静在音乐的世界中时，评委率先给了我赞美，随即掌声如潮。这一刻我激动、欣慰，那被坚韧勇敢浇灌过的音乐之花终于开了！

走出考场，满怀的阳光亲切地拥抱我。那红梅在阳光下笼上了一层光晕，更加挺拔娇艳，似在告诉我：花开有时，你要带着坚韧勇敢的芬芳一路向前......

星期五，我去春游。在车上，同学们有的在吃自己带来的食物和饮料。有的在玩自己带来的游戏机。还有的在看自己带来的书；在去春游的一路上，同学们都有说有笑，经过1个多小时的车程，我们终于到达了目的地——小石船山谷乐园。

小石船山谷乐园在半山腰，那里绿树环绕，群山连绵起伏，让人看有一种了心醉神迷的感觉；起初，我和我的队长一起去玩碰碰车，我以熟练的手法用碰碰车把我的队长打的落花流水；玩完碰碰车之后，我和队长一起去了其他地方玩，其中，我最难忘的就是和队长一起去攀爬神仙谷了：吃完中午饭，我和队长去神仙谷玩。因为神仙姑谷建在一座小山的半山腰上的，所以我和队长一路上是攀爬上去的。等到我们游玩完送水观音等地方时，我和队长已经可得要脱水和累的和队长一路上是攀爬上去的；等到我们游玩完送水观音等地方时，我和队长已经口渴的要脱水和累的要散架。我们赶紧下山休息和补充水分。

啊！我这次春游玩的真开心啊！

今天，好吃的我和爸爸去商店买吃的时，我发现凡是女性用品全部大减价，回到家我看了日历，没想到还有两天就是母亲节了。我那想送给妈妈什么呢?我想要不要在网上听一听其他人的建议。

一回家我打开电脑，在QQ群中发了一句，“母亲节来了，你们说因该送给母亲什么?”顿时大家便七嘴八舌的谈论起来了。有人简单讲了母亲节背后的故事，有人讲了母亲节的意义，还有人讲自己送给妈妈什么东西。

“小网迷”谢鑫雨：“我没零花钱，但我手巧，我可以做一张贺卡送给妈妈。”

张镭凡说：“母亲节当然要送美丽的康乃馨了，不管怎样说康乃馨还叫忘忧草，让妈妈忘掉烦恼。

“怎能用钱买呢?这钱本身就是妈妈给你的，那用妈妈的钱买的礼物又有什么意义呢，我想就算给母亲捶捶背,妈妈都会感动的。”

看来最重要的不是送什么，而是心意。

生活中，每个人都有着自己的成长经历，但每个人的成长经历都是不同的，个自有个自的特点与故事，回忆时那一个个美好的故事都会忽然从脑海里一个个的浮现出来，使你流连忘返。

从“呀呀”学语的小孩到一个懂事的“小大人”，这十几年来的经历与那发生的美好记忆都像是一个个金色的脚印深深地印在了脑海里，印在了我的心里。

从小时候刚上幼儿园，依偎在爸妈的怀里撒着娇，晚上回家时，我与老师、同学们再见，与爸爸妈妈嬉戏，每个人的脸上都挂着甜甜的微笑，是那样的纯真、自然、天真、可爱。小时候的我，就像是一棵小小的树苗，是爸妈为我遮风挡雨，让我在这快乐、自在的小天地里茁壮成长。

光阴似箭，日月如梭，时间如同泉水般缓缓流过，我也慢慢长大，进入一个全新的小学生活。刚开始每天早起使我有些适应不来，妈妈因此为我准备了一个小闹钟，放在床边，每天像公鸡一样将我叫醒。从此，我也适应了小学生活，这使我渐渐发现了生活与校园中的美。记得那次运动会，我们都很激动，该我们拔河比赛时，我们拼尽全力地拉着，而咱班的啦啦队也为我们鼓着力，但最终，我们还是输在了对方的手里。回到班，不知为何，我们都哭了，顿时，我突然体会到了班级的力量，原来班级的力量是这么的强大，这使我体会到了集体的爱。

也许，每个人成长的经历就像是一幅山水画一般，有开心、有悲伤、也有喜悦，记录下我们成长中的点点滴滴，酸、甜、苦、辣，而那一件件美妙的往事都像是一颗颗星星，点缀在天空，繁星点点！闪耀着它那灿烂的光芒！

In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is

too heavy. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things

as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be

allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time, as some think. It gives

them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be

stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by

excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and

mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however,

that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and

to the society as a whole.

Yesterday, I asked my mother to buy me some candies. It was my favorite

white rabbit rolls. When my mother bought it for me, I ate a little and hided

the rest. I was going to bring them to school to give them to my primary school

deskmate, Xiao Fang, because today is white day. I want to give present to her

to make her happy on this special day. I will give the candies to her later.

今天是端午节，我和我的母亲一起包粽子。

昨天晚上，我的母亲已经把竹叶和糯米泡在了水里，早上，我的母亲把这些材料捞出来准备好了。开始包粽子了，我的母亲先把竹叶卷成圆锥形，下面的尖一定不能留半点空隙。一开始我很着急，可后来我认真做，终于卷得合格了。再往圆锥里放少许糯米，用筷子用力往下戳，接着选择你自己喜欢吃的红枣、花生、咸肉、豆沙……放入其中。然后再放上一些糯米，也是要把米填紧，把它包成三角形或四角形的都可以，最后用线捆绑结实才行，要不然就会煮成一锅糯米粥了。

我的母亲把粽子放到锅里煮了接近一个钟头，香喷喷的粽子就出锅了。

我们全家品尝着我们自己包的粽子，心里有说不出的高兴。

我喜欢这个有意义的端午节！

For most western countries, Christmas Day is the biggest festival, and all

the people will have the long vacation, just as Spring Festival in China. With

the development of globalization, Christmas Day is celebrated by people around

the world. When the day comes, Christmas trees can be seen in many shops and

some products have the great discounts. One of the main reasons for people to

love Christmas is that they can get the great discounts from some products,

which saves them a lot of money. For American people, Christmas Day is the great

moment for the families to get together and enjoy the family hour, while for

some people they just treat it as the shopping day.
