乌龟儿有一个硬邦邦的壳儿，这可是它的“保护伞”哟!它的壳儿是翠绿色的，上面排满了六边形的团，下面也是由六边形的团组成的，只不过是乳白色的;乌龟儿的头一旦有东西碰到了，酒会快速和两队足一起收回壳儿里，显得它特别小心谨慎。这只乌龟儿很特被，头上有个菱形的小红点，特像个“小剑客”。乌龟儿的眼睛水灵灵的、大大的，下面长着一张“樱桃小嘴”;再说说乌龟儿的四肢。它虽然爬得很慢，但动作却很迅速，四肢很灵活;乌龟儿有一根小瞧的尾巴，细得像根毛线。这根小尾巴平时伸出来时一摆一摆的可爱极了!

第一天把乌龟儿买回来是它在小鱼缸里一动也不动的，我还以为它死了呢!过了一段时间，在我和外婆的精心照料下，乌龟儿终于肯把头伸出来了，但有脚步声，它又把头和四肢都收回了它那硬邦邦的“保护伞”里。又过了一段时间;乌龟儿终于和我像好朋友一样，非常开心。

乌龟儿喜欢住在有水的地方(水不能太深)、喜欢吃颗粒较小的龟食、喜欢在平地上玩耍……

When I was picking up my stuff after school， I saw a dog staring at me at the school gate .I was kind of scary. I thought the dog would bite me when I was going out. But it was not. The dog started to follow me. I was very afraid. I started to run away， but the dog did it， either. Suddenly， the dog ran pass away me. I realized the man in front of me was the owner of the dog. I was relieved.

From then on， as long as a dog stares at me， I will look back to have a look whether there is another person near or not.

Since I was very small, I watched a lot of sports with my father. My father

is a huge fan of basketball match. When he has time, he will sit in the sofa and

watch NBA. So I enjoy the time to watch the match with him. I also become a

sport fan, but my passion on sports is much stronger. I am interested in

watching all kinds of sports, besides basketball, tennis, volleyball and other

一天，我和妈妈去菜场买菜，刚走到菜场门口，就听见了“卖青蛙喽，卖青蛙喽……”的叫卖声，我寻声走去，只见一位老爷爷正在大声吆喝着。他身旁摆放着一个大大的竹篓，里面装着一只只活蹦乱跳的青蛙。这时，有一位叔叔走过来买青蛙，于是，老爷爷就从竹篓中迅速捉出一只又肥又大的青蛙，青蛙在他手中拼命挣扎着，还发出“呱呱”的惨叫，好像在说：“请你放了我吧，求求你了!”可是老爷爷只当没听见，反而捏得更紧了，只见他拿起一把锋利的剪刀向青蛙的头剪去，只听“咔嚓”一声，于是惨不忍睹的画面出现在我的眼前：青蛙的头掉了下来。看着这血淋淋的场面，我真是感到痛心啊!

青蛙可是捉害虫的能手啊!它常常蹲在小河边、稻田里、草丛中……，青蛙捉害虫时一双灵活透亮的大眼睛凝视着前方，严密地注意着周围的动静。飞虫在空中穿梭地飞来飞去，青蛙装作没看见似的，等害虫飞得低一点时，它就猛地一蹬后腿，纵身一跃，张开大嘴把带有粘液的舌头往外一伸，飞虫就粘在了它的舌头上，百发百中，呑掉害虫后，青蛙就一本正经地等着，好像什么事都没有发生过。

青蛙不但是捉害虫的能手，还是庄稼的“保护神”呢!它专门捕食蚊虫、苍蝇、蛾子等害虫。青蛙一天大约能吃50只害虫，一年就能吃好多万只害虫呢。青蛙的幼虫——蝌蚪，一天能吃100只孑孓，可见，它的本领也不小哦!如果人们把青蛙全部捕杀了，人们就只能用农药来杀灭害虫，我们吃了被农药喷洒过的粮食、蔬菜后，就会得病，难怪人们说：“蛙满塘，谷满仓”啊!

保护青蛙，就能保护庄稼，让我们一起来保护“捕虫能手”——青蛙吧!

生命的长度，也许是由几百年，也许是由短短的几天，也有可能连出生都没有，就已经一命呜呼了，生命又是谁能够决定的呢？是谁能决定不让意外、生病… …等危害生命的事情发生呢？种种原因，谁能不面临死亡？现在只能珍惜生命，以及避免发生不好的事。

狗就是人的朋友，怎么对待好朋友，就该怎么对待它们，而不是当作驱赶坏人的好工具，或是一只很可爱的会动娃娃。狗虽然不会讲人话，但它会中心不二的在你身边，想到弃养它们的人，是不是很可恶？你在养之前，确定等待他长大之后，还是会继续养，不看外表？你确定有能力吗？还是只是为了看门而已？养它们之前，请三思!养了之后，它也许和它的家人分开了，就只有你唯一一个家人，所以必须也把它当家人，如果你变成狗， 就一定明白，这多么无助，多希望有人爱。

当你弃养狗，接下来的事情，我相信每个人都无法接受，它又失去家人了!它将被送至收养中心，没人喜欢的话，就要安乐死，如果你失去家人，没多久又莫名被关起来坐牢，几天之后，没人想接你回家，你就要面临死亡，发生这种事情，你又不能决定，死的很奇怪吧!对，这是弃养狗的人，做的事情，换做是你，你会无法形 容这种感觉，别人说不公平，其实我们都很幸福，爸妈不会不要我们，它们才觉得不公平吧？为什么是别人选自己，而不是自己选别人，为什么说不养就可能死？狗对人们就是不平等。

我们不该做这些弃养的事情，是谁都不愿意被抛弃，要养宠物，就要好好爱它，不只狗，任何动物都一样，爱它就不要丢弃它，人人有责，大家一起保护生命，才是护生的真正意思!

“Growing Pains” seems full of knowledge and experience. So it does because

all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our lives.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

studying and in family. Theres always so much homework given by teachers and so

many arguments between the parents and me. The time is fair, but it seems it

gives pains three quarters and only one quarter to gains.

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

happy and enjoyable. We played with snow in the winter that seldom snows, we

with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet

delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next

morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy

new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year

tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish

peace and happiness for everyone.

世界上已有很多的动物已经灭绝于我们人类之手，旅鸽就是其中之一：终年无忧无虑的生活在北美大陆上，每到迁徙的季节，它们成千上万遮天蔽日。当欧洲人刚踏上北美大陆时，这里有50多亿只旅鸽。可是欧洲人来到这里之后，由于旅鸽肉味鲜美，开始遭到他们大规模的围猎。从此，旅鸽也就一步步走向了灭绝。当时鸽肉在市场上轻易买到，密执安州一个季节里就捕获了750万只旅鸽。曾经，一个俱乐部一周就杀了5万只旅鸽，有人一天便杀了500只。他们把这些罪恶一一记录下来——那是他们比赛的成绩。甚至有人想出这样的方法——把一只旅鸽的眼睛缝上，绑在树枝上，张开罗网。它的同伴们闻讯赶来，于是一一落网。有时候，一次就能捉到上千只。这个方法一定传播得很广 。就这样，在不到100年的时间里，旅鸽从几十亿猛减到濒临灭绝。

旅鸽： 1900年野生灭绝；1914年在美国华盛顿国家博物馆的展厅里，有一只旅鸽站在一根树枝上，长长的嘴，尖尖的尾巴，展翅欲飞。但它永远告别了蓝天自云。它再也不能动，不能叫，不能吃东西了。这是世界上最后一只旅鸽，而且是一只标本。那双木然的眼睛，怅望着这个世纪的人们，是怎样的捕杀它的同类，是怎么剥它的皮抽它的筋剜它的肉的。

如果我们人类再不制止，生态就会不平衡，世界的资源就循环，我们人类也会灭绝。

虽然有些动物会伤害我们人类，但那是我们人类破坏了它们的生存环境和食物才导致的。只要我们保护环境、保护动物，让动物和我们一起生活在这个美丽的家园----地球，那我们的生活不就更美好。

今天夜晚，我和爸爸在电脑上查了对我们有益的小动物，我们在网上找到了许多对我们有益的小动物，比如：蜻蜓、燕子、青蛙、蚯蚓、蜜蜂、蛇、猫头鹰、啄木鸟等。下面就说说它们对人类有哪些益处吧！

蜻蜓生活在水边，扑捉蚊子等小飞虫，免得叮咬人畜，传播疾病；燕子是候鸟，专门扑食空中飞虫，如；蝗虫、蚂蚱等害虫；对农作物生长有益的青蛙生活在稻田里，每天能吃70多条害虫，是农民伯伯的好帮手；啄木鸟是森林的好医生，它们可以从树掏出蛀虫来，每天吃上千条害虫，好厉害啊！猫头鹰专吃传播疾病和破坏庄稼的老鼠……。

这些小动物可都对人类有益的，为人类作出了贡献哦，它们都是我们的好朋友，我们一定要好好地保护它们。首先，我们要爱护环境，让这些小动物有安身之处；其次，我们小朋友还可以成立保护小动物的队伍，宣传小动物对人类的益处，告诉别人不要扑食这些小动物……当然，可行的措施还不止这些，希望所有的人都行动起来，为保护好小动物献计献策。

喂，小子，世界一级保护动物也敢吃，反啦！审问员说什么，猪是世界一级保护动物？啥，地球人都知道的事你不知道？猪不是普通的牲畜吗，啥时变成世界一级保护动物啦！我的回答让审问员苦笑不得。我说明来历后，他才把原因告诉了我：你不知道啊，有些人为了牟利，什么动物都抓唉说完他仰天长叹

虽然是个梦，但也给我们人类提了一个醒：如果人类再不停止滥捕滥杀，这一天一定会到来的。

Oceans becoming more acidicThe worlds oceans are slowly getting more acidic, say scientists.The researchers from California say the change is taking place in response to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.The lowering of the waters pH value is not great at the moment but could pose a serious threat to current marine life if it continues, they warn.Ken Caldeira and Michael Wickett, from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, report their concerns in the journal Nature.Increasing use of fossil fuels means more carbon dioxide is going into the air, and most of it will eventually be absorbed by seawater.

Once in the water, it reacts to form carbonic acid.Scientists believe that the oceans have already become slightly more acidic over the last century.But these researchers have tried to predict what will happen in the future by combining what we know about the history of the oceans with computer models of climate change."This level of acidity will get much more extreme in the future if we continue releasing CO2 into the atmosphere," said Dr Caldeira."And we predicted amounts of future acidity that exceed anything we saw over the last several hundred million years, apart from perhaps after rare catastrophic events such as asteroid impacts."If carbon dioxide release continues unabated, ocean pH could be reduced by as much as 0.77 units, the authors warn.It is not absolutely clear what that means for marine life, however.

Most organisms live near the surface, where the greatest pH change would be expected to occur, but deep-ocean lifeforms may be more sensitive to pH changes.Coral reefs and other organisms whose skeletons or shells contain calcium carbonate may be particularly affected, the team speculate. They could find it much more difficult to build these structures in water with a lower pH.In recent years some people have suggested deliberately storing carbon dioxide from power stations in the deep ocean as a way of curbing global warming.But Dr Caldeira said that such a strategy should now be re-considered."Previously, most experts had looked at ocean absorption of carbon dioxide as a good thing - because in releasing CO2 into the atmosphere we warm the planet; and when CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, it reduces the amount of greenhouse warming.
