这本书的内容十分丰富，它用一个个令人回味无穷的故事向人们阐述了很多道理。我觉得它像一位无声的老师，在潜移默化中，告诉我们在课堂上学不到的知识，教育我们该怎样做人做事;我又觉得它像一场温暖的春雨，轻柔地冲刷掉我心灵上的污渍，使我成为一个品格纯洁的人。总而言之，读了《小故事，大道理》这本书，我真是受益非浅。

其中一个小故事讲的是美国前总统罗斯福家失盗，被偷去了许多东西，当朋友安慰他时，他却说：“谢谢你的关心，我很好，感谢上帝：因为第一贼偷去的是我的东西，而没有伤害我的生命;第二，贼只偷去我的部分东西，而不是全部;第三，最值得庆幸的是，做贼的是他，而不是我”。对任何人来说，失窃是件不幸的事，而罗斯福却找出三条感恩的理由。看了这个小故事，我感到非常汗颜。

在这之前，我常常为自己过重的学习负担而烦恼，羡慕爸爸妈妈小时侯作业少，学习轻松，没有没完没了的考试，不用弹琴唱歌。甚至当爸爸妈妈告诉我，他们小时侯放学后要出去割草，洗衣，农忙时要下田帮大人干活时，我都满不在乎地说，我不愿意现在这么辛苦地学习，宁愿和你们小时侯一样干活。可当我看完这个故事，换一种思路再来看待两代人的学习和生活时，我却为自己是生长在这个时代而感到幸福。

我的老家，是在河南一个偏僻的紧靠一座大山的小河湾旁，全村大大小小四户人家，每家有一个大院子，都种满了各种蔬菜，除了旁边一家养满了鸡的大伯。

每家每户都在山脚下有一大片田，四户人家轮流用一头水牛。那个暑假，妈妈和姥姥去灵山玩几天，便只留下一本《哈利·波特与魔法石》陪伴我。我那时多么渴望一本沈石溪的小说啊，农村家里顶多一台电视机，姥爷下田干活，回来要喂猪，喂鸡鸭鹅。我只能坐在田埂上看着我的哈利了。
