Last Saturday--April 28th, my classmates and I went to the park near my

school. Can you guess what we did there?Not for amusement but to take part in a

volunteer labour.

We reached the park at nine oclock. The whole class was divided into three

groups. I was in Group Three.

Each group had different tasks. Group One planted trees and watered

flowers. Group Two was told to pick up litter left by the tourists and cleaned

all the benches. The group that I was in wiped all the equipment in the

It is a symbol of our ancient working peoples wisdom. So, we need to protect the Great Wall. As long as the tourists throw less trash, the Great Wall will be more beautiful. 长城是我国的“世界遗产”之一，它像一条长龙盘旋在中国北方辽阔的土地上。凝结了中国古代劳动人民的血汗和智慧，是中国古代文明的象征。可是，现在的它，正在强颜欢笑，正在遭受了人们的摧残与破坏，已失去了它往日的辉煌与雄伟。

站在长城上，扶着墙上的条石，耳边似乎响起了古代战争时的号角声，眼前似乎展现打战时气魄雄伟的场面。长城经历了无数次战争的洗礼和岁月的沧桑，至今还巍然屹立在我们面前。它以雄伟与壮观的景象吸引着无数前来参观的游客。它是我们古代劳动人民智慧的象征。所以，我们要保护长城。只要游客少扔一些垃圾，长城就会多一份美丽。因此，我要向大家呼吁:请大家保护我们古老的长城吧!让我们携起手来，从我们做起，从现在做起，做一个文明的游客。

I am planning to spend my summer holiday on sports this year.Playing

basketball is always my favourite,so some of my classmates and I will form a

small team and play basketball together.Sometimes we may have a match against

some other teams and I do enjoy the sense when we win the game.
