London and Tower Bridge

Not much is known about the earliest London Bridge although it’s location is thought to be near the present one. The second bridge a wooden one existing in Saxon times seems to have given rise to the nursery rhyme ‘London Bridge is falling down’ which it did in 1014. In 1176 the first stone bridge was constructed. Houses sprung up on both sides of the bridge and stood until it was pulled down in 1831, making way for a more elegant, classic structure. This bridge was replaced in 1967 as it could no longer cope with the amount of traffic. The present London Bridge is more 100 feet wide.

The London Bridge preceding the current one was bought by the McCulloch Oil Corporation of California, which reconstructed it at Lake Havasu City, in a corner of America’s Arizona Desert. Rumour has it that McCulloch’s thought they were buying the much more spectacular Tower Bridge.

The Construction of Tower Bridge began in 1885 and it was opened 9yrs later by Edward VII the then Prince of Wales, Amidst pomp and ceremony. 啥？你问我有没有爱好？那还用说，可以说是五花八门、琳琅满目，嘻嘻，言重了吧。不过要说我最大的爱好嘛，还得数看书了。有这么一次，爸爸在看电视上的足球赛，我说想去奶奶家，爸爸点了点头，算是同意了。我走进厕所，本想方便一下就去的，没想到厕所里放着我最爱看的《儿童文学》，哇，多好的机会啊！真是天助我也。平时爸爸怕我眼睛近视严重，总是防着我，今天他看球赛我看书，正好两不误，于是我就直接坐在马桶上，津津有味地看了起来。去奶奶家的事早被抛到九霄云外了。也不知过了多久，听见爸爸在给奶奶打电话，好像还提到了我。后来又听到爸爸给妈妈和三姨她们一个个打电话，不知在说着什么，好像还有点急，紧接着听见爸爸下楼的声音。管那么多干啥，机不可失，时不再来，看书要紧。这可是个新的发现啊！以后看书就到这儿来，神不知鬼不觉的，没人打扰，多清静呀！

大约一小时左右吧，爸爸回来了，我不小心被文中的故事惹得笑出了声，爸爸听见了厕所里的声音，打开门一看，见我正坐在马桶上看书，当时就气得火冒三丈，骂我没有去奶奶家，害得他们到处找我，还差点儿报了警，我一看大事不妙，就赶忙向爸爸认错。“你一个大活人就没有发现娃没有出门吗？”还是妈妈好，多亏妈妈帮我解围，爸爸才算没有动手，唉，好险啊……

这就是我，一个一肚子笑话，看书成瘾的小男孩。

My name is Ruby Lin, and an actor of the same name, my parents want me to become an educated girl. I am 12 years old. I am from the 4 class in 6 years in XX road school. I have many hobbies: badminton, painting, playing chess and so on. Among them, I like playing the piano most, because playing the piano can make me forget all worries and intoxicated. Besides, I won many gold medals in the piano competition. I have passed the ten level now.

In school, my academic record is pretty good, and I can get the best in every school. 我最喜欢的卡通人物是谁？是家喻户晓的米老鼠吗？还是给人带来欢乐的海绵宝宝？不，都不是，而是光仙子白光莹。

吾乃光之仙子，白光莹。我是叶罗丽仙境中的光仙子。我有一张唯美的瓜子脸，眼睛是灰色的，像天空中的乌云，总是愁眉不展。当我沉睡的时候是身穿一身洁白的连衣裙，头发一半灰一半黄。我苏醒时有两种形态：第一种形态我头戴黑色的皇冠，灰粉相间的长发，脖子上套着黑纱，我身穿一身黑色的裙子，配上蓝色帆布鞋，如同女王一般，我就是女王。第二种形态我有深蓝色的长发，粉色的皇冠，身穿一身粉红色的裙子。

我渴望自由，因为我犹如笼中之鸟，我被许多人奴役过，可是他们并不喜欢我，只想从我的身上获取光的力量。我不愿再被人奴役，于是我向辛灵仙子射出一道求救的光，辛灵救了我，把我放在臂格里，小心翼翼的保护着我。直到我遇到了同样的向往自由的高泰明。

我原来的主人雷电尊者——庞尊。因为不甘心我认人类为主人。于是他开始抢夺我。本来我和明在人类世界，庞尊利用打开的大门把我抓走。明也跟着进了。就这样，我们开战了。可是明的心脏不好，又打不过庞尊，于是在我的力量为庞尊夺取时，我对自己下了咒语：“除了高泰明，没有人能唤醒！”因为我知道只有明能给我自由，给我生的希望。没有明，我宁愿永远沉睡。我滴下了痛心的眼泪。

这就是我的宿命，我的选择。

我有许多喜欢的动漫人物：钢铁侠、蜘蛛侠、维尼熊、喜羊羊、大黄蜂、皮卡丘、名侦探柯南、蜡笔小新、史努比、小黄人、米奇老鼠和加菲猫……它们各有各的特点、缺点和爱好，其中我最喜欢的是多啦A梦。

多啦A梦的别名叫：机器猫、叮当猫。它全身都是蓝色的，长着一双明亮的大眼睛，火红的圆鼻子，宽大的嘴巴，脖子上挂着一个金灿灿的铃铛，圆鼓鼓的肚子，它肚子前有一个小袋子，别看那小袋子小，其实里面有各种道具：竹蜻蜓任意门、缩小放大灯、空气炮……这些工具各有各的用途。

哆啦A梦喜欢吃铜锣烧，它很喜欢帮助别人，因为大雄是个懒惰、懦弱、冒失但是重视友情的人，所以哆啦a梦就留下来帮助大雄，只要大雄有困难，哆啦a梦会立马帮助大雄。

在正面伙伴蒙面侠中，未来的大雄戴着蒙面侠的面具，来帮助大雄，大雄误解了哆啦A梦是在帮他，最后哆啦A梦得知了是未来的大雄来帮大雄的。在坐地下铁中善良的大雄得知明天是爸爸的生日，想让爸爸以后不再座拥挤的地铁，大雄请求哆啦A梦帮他，哆啦A梦帮助了他，可最后被修地铁的工人阻止了。

这就是我最喜欢的动漫人物。

Nowadays, there are many kinds of activities for people entertaining in their leisure time, especially in holiday, such as climbing a mountain, having a picnic, holding a party and so on. However, these recreational activities have its advantages but also bring some harmful influences to people’s lives.

First, to some extent, these recreational activities enrich people’s lives. Those who take part in different activities will not be easy to feel lonely or boring in their leisure time and live wonderful lives instead. Second, taking part in some group activities is a good form to strengthen friendships. For example, many students will hold a union to collect their old classmates or friends in winter holiday so that they have a common time to communicate with each other. Last but not least, such activities like climbing a mountain provide a good chance to do exercise.

However, these recreational activities also bring some problems at the same time. For one thing, taking part in too many these activities will increase the burden of themselves or their families because it is inevitable to spend some money in holding these activities. For another, some recreational activities have potential harm for participants’ health, particularly staying up all night, drinking and smoking.

Therefore, in my opinion, we have to make a careful consideration before we take part in these recreational activities.
