农历五月初五为端午节，又称端阳节、午日节、五月节、艾节、端五、重午、午日、夏节。虽然名称不同，但各地人民过节的习俗是相同的。端午节是我国二千多年的旧习俗，每到这一天，家家户户挂艾叶菖蒲，赛龙舟，吃粽子，饮雄黄酒，游百病，佩香囊。

今天是端午节，大家知道端午节的来历吗?!不知道吧!那就让我来告诉你们吧!你们还记得楚国那位爱国大将屈原吗?我来说一说他吧!

屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

端午节还有许多有趣的活动。列如赛龙舟，挂香囊，香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。还有挂艾叶、菖蒲的习惯。

今年的颁奖典礼很特殊，有最美妈妈吴菊平、敬老爱亲道德模范最美孩子孟佩杰、最美憨笑农名工……。

“最美”在我们的脑海中通常理解为美丽、漂亮的人。作文可是现在不同了“最美”的称号、谁都可以得到。二O一一年的一天、在川流不息的马路上。一个十几岁的女孩被飞驰而来的小轿车轧在了身上，路人看着小女孩无助的样子也十分揪心。这时从工地上跑来了几个“黑脸大汗”——农民工大叔。不知谁喊了一声：“抬车。”话音刚落，他们就掀起了车尾，爆发出了所有的力量。女孩得救了，让所有人感到惊奇的是，女孩除了有点儿皮外伤并无大碍。黑黑脸庞上露出憨厚的笑容。我认为这一笑是世界上最美的笑。

当然“最美妈妈”也让我记忆犹新。一天吴菊平妈妈走在小区的小路上，忽然看见一个孩子从楼上直冲下来，说是迟那是快，她甩下高跟鞋就冲了过去。孩子正好砸在了她的胳膊上。孩子得救了，而她的胳膊却粉碎性骨折。经过多日的抢救，孩子和她都康复了。真是好人有好报啊！

最美孩子孟佩杰，更是家喻户晓。在这个“小少爷”、“小公主”的年代，有这样一个女孩儿，她四岁时父母双亡，被好心的养母收留。八岁时，养父不幸去世，养母又出了车祸瘫痪在床，照顾母亲的重任就落在了她的肩上。她每天按时上下学，放学后还要给妈妈做饭，洗衣服，坚持给妈妈按摩更是每天必不可少的事。日复一日，年复一年，一做就是十几年。现在她已经上大学了，还是把妈妈带在身边悉心的照顾，从来没有一句怨言。

只要人人献出爱，风景无处不存在。

I was born in 1968, and I went to school from 1973 to 1988. In 1987 I took the General Certificate of Education, and I got good grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
